I simply can’t get over how much Page reminds me of my wife Ryoh.
Ryoh reminded me every day to be in the moment and not to sweat the small stuff. My wife died three years ago after 32 years. Treasure her and never forget to hold her high. Thanks for another great video bringing back memories from my Koh Samui December trip. I just love how cheap Thai food is in Thailand compared to USA. I just ate yesterday at a Thai restaurant in Vancouver, Washington, had Pad Thai and paid US$10.99 plus 8.4% sales tax. I miss Thailand so much and you keep me going everyday with your videos, until I can return.

O visa. My 90 day check ins are online. Have made a few video on it. If Immigration was any easier here I would be Thai. Only go for my extensions one time a year.

Hey Chuck, when did you film this? We were on Koh Phangan between the 13 -20th last week and it was absolutely perfect weather except the night of the 13 we had a big storm. Are your videos a week behind?

Another great video. I’m sad that I won’t be going back for the foreseeable future. Also I saw a survey that said 90% Thais don’t want foreigners back. I understand this as we were hit hard by the pandemic especially us in the UK 🇬🇧. I’ve written this year off anyway. Great to see my favourite country in SE Asia through your travels 👍🏻
I have traveled to many provinces and spoken to many Thai's. I have videos of every adventure, and speak to thousands of foreigners every week that live here in Thailand. You would think if 90% of Thai's didn't want me here, or no tourist to come, I would be the first to tell you the truth...When they find out I am videoing there business for future tourist they are very grateful. Obviously during this so called pandemic they don't want there borders open since there are few cases and 0 in 2 months now. Do Not always believe blog sites, news channels, article, and gossip in English language about Thai life or there thoughts as a whole. However I have many More Foreigners than Thai's i know that I do not want around me. You get what you give anywhere in the world, and no one is forced here.

The poll was done by Suan Dusit Rajabhat University. Their polls are widely considered to be very reliable. The results should not be interpreted as 90% of Thais do not want foreigners back ever. They are just saying for now they would prefer the government keeps the borders closed, as they fear a second wave. A poll done before the incident involving an Egyptian soldier and a 9 year old African girl said 70% of Thais did not want foreigners entering right now. It is no surprise that number jumped to 90% after the incident was made public. Generally speaking, Thais do not mind foreigners living or visiting here, provided they are polite and respectful. The vast majority of Thais, and Thai businesses, do not rely on tourism, but a second wave could force another lock down which would impact everyone and Thais would really like to avoid that happening. Businesses are open, kids are back in school and everyone can move around freely. Thais want to keep it that way and you really can't blame them.

That would be 6pm, every day in some locations. Seems to be a Southern Thai thing as same would happen in Betong, on the Malaysia border.Even the traffic would stop at that time with the anthem being played from loudspeakers. That was back in the 90's so not sure if same happens now. Nice show of respect.
Does it ever get cold in Thailand?
Only if you consider 70 degrees cold.... up in the northern mountains of Chaing Mai it does get cold... I think it even freezes sometimes... Chuck can verify that one...
Sometimes here in our hometown it gets down to 0 degrees Celsius winter is very short
It can get cold enough to see your breath at night. The temperature usually only drops that low for a few days at a time and usually doesn't happen more than two or 3 times in a season. However, a few years back it lasted the better part of a month.

It is still a virus right? Virus effects the immune system right? That is why we get sick. If one has many other problems or a weak immune system a virus could be potential dangerous right? Other than the Government or "luck", could it be possible that Thai people have a very healthy Immune system, and maybe a few other cultural habits and climate may play a part...... I think somehow not saying you, but depend on the system to save them and forget about what is actually happening other than trying to stay sanitized or be politically correct... Excuse my sarcasm. Adding subtitles is not an easy task but I understand your point. Just making the videos while traveling is not easy. If you come here they only speak Thai language. I do try sometimes to explain what I'm saying but I am ultimately only showing you my everyday life.
