why when an Thai Sim ist cheaper ? from 8 days in Thailand, you pay less with a thai sim with unlimited 4g/5g
@@NicHo71 there's often many issues with local sim cards, can be cheaper but not as hustle-free😊
I was so many time in Thailand, with a Thaï Sim, had never issue with it, and when you have issues, it could be with any Sim,….
How much do you become for this ad 😂🤣
@@vdjnicco I mean if you wanna keep your own sim, need internet when arrived before reaching a sim card shop, sometimes I had issues with local sims that they just stopped working. And in general it's just easier especially wheb traveling to many countries within a short period of time :)
@@JooseTheNomad ok, for shorter time as 9 days in Thailand, ok…. But when you arrive in Airport, you can buy the sim card directly there, before leaving the airport, and inside the Wifi is free too 😉
But shure if you make man country in few days.. surely good 🫶🏼
Great video once again!! You're one of my fav CZcamsrs. Your videos are always chill, thorough, and beautifully shot.
Thanks so much🙏🏽
I left Germany in January with some savings and started freelancing on the go. Your videos were part of my decision to go to Da Nang first. I was in Vietnam for two months, and now I’m in Thailand, Ko Tao. If I see you one day, I will invite you to a coconut. ✌️
Awesome to hear man! How did you like Da Nang? Thanks man, enjoy🙏🏽
I have the same story but reversed and from Italy. I'm in bkk atm and I'm undecided wether to go to Da Nang or Hanoi or Kuala Lumpur. Hard choice 😂
@@Papayalexius I'd choose Da Nang🙏🏽
@@JooseTheNomadthank you :)
I'll actually add a bit of context: i only have to spend 10 days there and then vacation to the Philippines.
Hence am also considering something without the sea, otherwise Da Nang would win hands down.
Have you had experience in Na Tran and Hue?
@@Papayalexius I've been to Nha Trang and it was really nice :)
Welcome to Koh Samui! Thanks for making a great video from my favorite island. Shared it in the Ko Samui Expats group 👍
Thanks so much man😊🙏🏽
@@JooseTheNomad You're very welcome. Keep up the good work!
@@AbroadInThailand thank you!
Love your videos! The food, the beaches, the accommodations, the views! WOW!
Thanks so much🙏🏽
Another great video. Thank you for making these Joose! 🙏
Thanks man🙏🏽
okay my mouth is on the floor with how busy it is there!!!! the clip after you leave the beach club is BUSY on that strip!!! and the night market. WOW so I can totally do Koh Samui for a month or two because it is giving bangkok meets the beach life. WOW. I was worried that I would get bored on Koh Samui lmao, because I thought it was this remote tiny island. there are even cannabis dispensary there I see, just WOW. It's a PERFECT destination, and seeing the elephant sanctuary makes me so happy. thank YOU for this video so much, its exactly what I needed. OMG AND THE MALL
Good to know about the sunset location. I love sunsets as well, because I use to enjoy going from Seminyak to Double 6 for an evening walk on the beach or hang with friends under an umbrella to watch the sunset. Good to know about Koh Samui.
Nice, glad to hear🙏🏽
Great for this video! I have been trying to make up my mind if I am just doing a month in Bangkok and then come visit Koh Samui for a few days but I think I really need to be in Koh Samui for a full month because I have a lot of resorts to tour with the travel agency I work with. And I didnt realize how busy Koh Samui is - but I am getting better options on Airbnb in Bangkok. So I am watching your videos to try and make decision haha. thank u
Amazing video as always the king of Finland =)
Hahhaa! Thanks so much🙏🏽
It's amazing how developed the island is now. I was there 25 years ago and it was like Koh Phangan is now. Also when I stay on Koh Phangan that was truly bliss hardly nothing developed there at all and accommodation was so cheap, I didn't want to leave.. Thanks for showing us around.
Yeah things change fast😄🙏🏽
I love Koh Samui, awesome video mate
Thanks man!
Great Video !
Thank you!
I stayed at Crystal Bay Beach my first week in Koh Samui May 2023. Really enjoyable and not too busy as it was low season.
Nice!
Nice tto meet you. Joose-that is unreal -=)
Thanks man :)
My airbnb was right above yours. The road straight up on the left turn. Best stay and view of Koh Samui..
What’s it called?
Very cool video, as always!😎
What page were you looking for activities at 2:50?
Thanks🙏🏽 Getyourguide!
Good review. Koh Samui is a lovely Island. Crystal Bay Beach is very nice during the low season otherwise it can be very crowded. Basically a "look at me beach" for many people. Many beaches on Samui are more chill all year around. Yes, Samui is more expensive however there are reasonably priced food options also. My biggest delta about Koh Samui is the traffic on the NE side of the Island in particular. Access to beaches in several areas is limited (blocked by resorts) and transportation even on the ride-share Songthaews is relatively expensive for Thailand but it is a tourist-dominant Island. Overall Koh Samui is lovely.
Thank you! Agreed🙏🏽
Good review due to go in a few weeks to an area called Cheong Mon looks a bit more laid back which is what we are looking for.
Thanks! Enjoy🙏🏽
So beautiful there !
Yes pretty amazing nature🌴
interesting video, thank
Thanks🙏🏽
this seems the perfect place to film my yoga videos
Great vid. Boring question: but great cinematography... what camera do you use?
Thanks! Iphone 15 pro :)
emigrating to samui thursday 😁any new things you could advise me to do or visit outside of youre awesome video? Greeting from the netherlands

Thinking of going here for a lads holiday in early September. 4 Scottish lads mid 30s, want to party at night and go snorkelling etc during the day. Good time to go for this?
You should try Pai, Thailand.
But now would be blazing hot. It's really a winter place.
No beach :(
Didn't know about Luma thanks
Enjoy🙏🏽
Amazing Videos! Can you please explain how do you fly from an island to another in terms of price? Is there any kinda of discount available?
Thanks! From where to where for example?
You can fly in and out of samui as it has an airport. Only Bangkok air flies there so it can be a bit expensive. Ko Pha-ngan and Ko Tao don't have airports. They are the three inhabited islands in the group.
Phuket is the other main island with an international airport. Which is on the other side of the peninsula.
Cheapest way is to fly a low cost airline to Surat Thani on the mainland and get the ferry to Samui or Pha-ngan.
@@InvaderZim742 thanks for giving the full explanation🙏🏽
The one item I take with me anywhere is my own pillow. I need my sleep 😴 💤
It fits to the luggage hahah?

We were im Koh Samui right after covid restrictions. it was great to chill as a couple but I wouldn't go there solo.
Why not haha?
Koh Samui, what a beautiful island.
Yes indeed!
@@JooseTheNomad Wonderful. 😀
Love food panda!
I feel like I watched a video. And the takeaway is that I should have watched a video about Ko Pha Ngan. XD
The sound in your video is very clear which microphone did you end up buying ?
I have been using DJI Mic and I got the 2nd generation now but didn't use it yet for this video!
And thanks🙏🏽
I understand there's no grab on Koh Phangan, they have those 8-10 pax minibuses but are there actually any private taxis there? For those who do not wish to rent scooters and still wanna be able to drive daily from let's say Chaloklum to the main town or the beaches in the NW?
There are some companies who offer it but I think it's more for transfers between pier and hotel. I mean it's quite pricey, not sure if it would make sense as a daily transport
@@JooseTheNomad Thanks. I’ve just heard and read it’s dangerous to ride scooters in Thailand and on Koh Phangan as it’s a hilly island. Even though the road you were taking looked pretty flat and not busy. I’m just moving from Da Nang to KP preferably but I’ve never been to TH before and pretty uneasy with the scooters there.
@@leonidasse In my opinion, Koh Phangan is one of the easiest places to drive scooter because yes it's not that busy and big roads. Sometimes steap roads too yeah but 99% of the time it's pretty flat where you drive :)
@@JooseTheNomad many thanks 👍🏻
Krikee, a bit chunky on prices; great informative vid.
Thsnks! Yea it is😅
Can you please make a video on how you shoot and edit your video and how to make great travel videos just like yours?
I'll make an online course about it soon!
Thanks joose, nice vidi, but what you say is good value seems high end to me. But I'm cheap.. best wishes
Thanks! The accommodation you mean or?
You should have went to the west side. It’s by far the most beautiful part, quiet and not touristy
What's there that is beautiful? I'm sure it's less busy but I didn't find anything interesting there
@@JooseTheNomad famous dog road, magic garten in the mountains, the beaches are beautiful with sunset and rada coffeehouse 😀

And what’s best zone to stay with babies (under 1 year)?
Where did you get the vests you are wearing?
In Bali from the local stores😄
You stayed in Chaweng🥲 Koh Samui is my favorite island. But I never go to Chaweng, lived there for 2 months and went to Chaweng once😂
I didn't really stay in Chaweng but where would you recommend staying there then?
Bangrak is my favourite spot in Samui. I have a house in Plailem. I kind of agree with you. KP is a cooler island and more beautiful.
@@stuckinthepattayabubble9319 yeah I should have went there!🙏🏽

What is the name of the Airbnb villa you stayed in Koh Samui please? Looks lovely and reasonable price

As I said, very uncomfortable bed but otherwise nice😄
Koh Samui is very nice! but agree Koh Phangang is my favourite of the two. more chill, more beautiful.
Yes exactly!🙏🏽
I see in the news there is a water shortage on koh Samui. Did you experience any issues? Shower water pressure? Drinking water?
Didn't have problem in Samui, in Koh Phangan once the water was out in Chaloklum but they find alternative way to get water in few hours. But I was just few days in Samui so not sure.. Drinking water wouldn't go out on the shops😄
Next vedio koh chang
Hmm somehow I never was so interested in going there🤔
How much do you make with affiliate marketing links on youtube?
Why do you ask?😄
Do you record in HDR or in normal mode?
Normal!:)
Siistiä. Ehkäpä pitää ruveta nomadiksi lukion jälkeen 😄

Does Starlink Internet work there?
I don't know, why?
How about water supply now?
Didn't see any issues
What camera do you use for your vlogs?
Iphone 15 pro :)
@@JooseTheNomad theres no way! haha I saw some big device/camera look a like in your shadows
@@IstanbulChriss 😂 it's just the tripod
@@JooseTheNomad haha i was ready to spend on a big camera :P
@@IstanbulChriss in mu opinion iPhone is the best choice as the quality is so good while being easy to carry & use, always with you, etc. If you want more cinematic look, also DJI Osmo Pocket 3 would be a good option!

You are correct that ko samui is not as good as ko Phan Gon in many respects.. except for long term living as you noted in the video

Da Nang for me but they are very different . Samui is a tropical island and Da Nang quite big city.

Mexican bowl & Sauna in Thailand (Koh Samui)?
You need to see a Doctor!🕊
😂😂😂
Mate you stayed in only 1 part of the island, you missed out lamai, baang rak, mai naam ,bohput & fisherman's village...you just explored the touristy / party side of samui....samui is alot better then Phuket
Did you watch the whole video?😄 I spent lots of time in Lamai.

@@JooseTheNomad Samui & Koh phanang are two totally different islands, so what sort of people is your review for
@@JustinSalisbury-nt7pb literally got many comments on my Koh Phangan videos to review Samui also and compare the two😂
@@JooseTheNomad I thought it was a good vlog aswell just didn't agree with a few things, I've been going to both Islands for over 30yrs every year, for 1 I don't think Samui is a very expensive island, the only expensive part is flying in by bkk airways, but can always go the long way if you have the time
@@JustinSalisbury-nt7pb thanks :) I don't think I said it's "very expensive" but that some things costed just a bit more than in other places
i was there long time ago. Seemed more like a family type of place. It was kind of boring.
Yeah what I saw was a lot of families, older people, and young lads going to parties😄
i cant imagine saying "beautiful" 427 times in 20 minutes, about a place NOT worth traveling to
🙈
Did you see marijuana shops around? Or should we get some in Bangkok and then head to the beach? Lol
There's probably over 100 on the island😂
Lol at things to do in Koh Samui: Go to Ko Phagnan xD
Why would that be funny?
@@JooseTheNomad Because the video is mainly a comparison between the 2 islands. It's well made don't get me wrong, but each islands advantages should stand on their own. Sure you can visit Ko Phagnan from Ko Samui, and vice-versa, but if I can only pick one, I am mainly interested in the things I can do on that island and that island only.
@@silviu.iordache okay but if someone decides to stay in Koh Samui, for sure they should still make a trip to Koh Phangan at least to the east side for eaxmple. What's wrong with mentioning that it's something to do and experience?😄
