We start our day going straight to Surat Thani night market where we try so much food for such a cheap price.
Trying some different food from bugs to Octopus and some we have no idea what they were.
The next day we adventure to our fave coffee chain #cafeamazon where we spend a few hours working then decide to find some where go to try our first pad Thai and we were not disappointed!

We are Reanne and Ben living in Portsmouth, England. We have been together from the age of 15.
We brought our first house together at 23, got married at 25 and Reanne started her own business at 27.
We have been wanting to travel the world for the last couple of year but covid put a stop to it.
The day has finally come we have sold our business and packed everything we own into storage, rented our house to explore as much of the world as we can in one year.

Surat Thani is actually on the backpacker trail because this is where you will get off the overnight train from bangkok and catch the coach to Donsak Pier for the ferries to the islands. They have an airport as well for those who wish to fly and then get the ferry. We’ve stayed here over new year a few years back , don’t generally see many tourists in town as they’re all passing through.

That night market at Surat Thani is one of the most oldest night market in Thailand with their local authentic food. And that Pad Thai also their unique recipe as well that can eat only in Surat Thani

I think Ben that the Squid you were eating was baby Octopus which are delicious..I used to gut and cook about 20kg a day...Squid have much longer tentacles...love this street food stuff...
