    Hi guys, this market is considered the first night markets in Thailand. Opened for more than 50 years, it is the local market of Surat people. Until about 20 years ago, Thailand had more night markets in every province. My childhood favorites were boat noodles and seafood tom yum noodles.
    .
    Thanks for sharing, wish you guys happy and safety in Thailand.

    Hi guys!! The first thing that you’ve tried was “Khao Mao” it’s roasted sticky rice.
    2nd one was “Hor Mok” my favorite side dish 💖💖 which contains of fishes, red curry paste, herbs and coconut milk.
    3rd one was “Kanom Mor Gang” you were right, it’s thai custard which has crispy red onions on top. 🤍 I saw some one already explained the 4th dish, but I’m gonna add more details, the inside may contain of sweet radish (daikon) or pork.
    The cotton candy(Saimai)wrapped with roti is my favorite dessert!! If you go to Ayutthaya, you should try it again. The best Roti-Saimai is in Ayutthaya. I think I have talked too much already 😆 but I’m excited about those food!! I’m gonna stop here otherwise my comment will turn to essay about Thai food 😂

    You will enjoy thai foods and sweet more if you know how to eat them.The fist one is called Khao Mao -green rice, coconut ,sugar ,sweetcorn(not common) .You mix the whole thing together and eat it ,the more time you chewing it the sweeten it become.The 2nd one is Ho Hok .There are 2 ways of making it grill or steam normally we have it with rice .You can try to have it on toast next time .The 3rd one is Knom Mor-kang . THe 4th one is called knom khao kio pak mo and Sa-koo .It is a snack,normally come with lettuce, chilli.You use lettuce wrap a Pak -mo and a chilli then eat it.The 5th is Roti samai.The 6th called Knom Tokyo.The 7th, toasted shrimp,this one I just wonder why she sell only one piece of toasted shrimp to you and how much does it cost for one piece.The liquid thing is a Tofu in soybean and milk.

      as the previous commenter said, the sakoo should have come with lettuce and chilli. (i don't eat the chilli, personally, because i don't do spicy.) but that would have changed your experience significantly.
      the haw mok (the curry in the leaf) would be vastly better with rice than by itself. a lot of thai food are flavoured in a way that tastes best accompanying rice.
      it's neat to see you guys gamely trying weird and wacky things you don't know without judgement. i hope you have a lovely time there.

    usually many food should eat with the rice, because they cook with more salty (stronger taste, like a more salty, more spicy) for eating it alone

    Rice is the main. We have many kinds of food to eat with rice. Things like curry or Hor Mok (2nd dish in ghe vid) need to be eaten with rice. You don’t eat it alone because it’ll be too strong. Most foods are cooked with flavors that need to be accompanied with rice. 😁 Enjoy watching your videos. Maybe stepping out of street food and explore some restaurants. We, Thai, don’t eat street food every day. They are not all that clean and tasty. Some good dishes are in shops and restaurants.

    • @ChaseandShelbs
      @ChaseandShelbs  Před 2 lety

      Surprisingly enough the hor mak was amazing on its own!! But I can see it being delicious with rice. :) We try not too fill up on rice at the food markets or else we won’t be able to show you guys as much 😂🙏🏼 and great idea! We actually want to start checking out local restaurants as well because we only film at markets every 1-2 weeks. Stay tuned for future videos, we think you will love the switch up! 🥰🇹🇭

      @@ChaseandShelbs if there is one thing that really grinds my gears (Family Guy reference) it's the overuse of superlatives in vlog titles. I mean what is going to happen if a vlogger actually *does* find Thailands "BEST KEPT SECRET!!!"? Or finds "the BEST streetfood ever!!!"? Or "Thailands HIDDEN ISLAND!!"? I mean no-one will believe them, because every other Vlogger has already made those claims 😅🙄

      @ChaseandShelbs  Před 2 lety

      I appreciate that it’s not for everyone but with that being said there is a reason people do it! From a business side of things it’s a strategy people use. And a lot of the time it works. ☺️

      @stangoodvibes Před 2 lety

      @@ChaseandShelbs well yes it works. So does having big cleavage thumbnails (Esquire Limited, The Holistic Clickbaiter, Thailand Bound etc). The question is - *should* you do it? As others have noted, CZcams used to be a medium for interesting travel videos, how-to videos etc, but since it's become monetised standards have dropped and now it's clickbait and sensationalised content that often is tailored to what gets most views rather than quality content. Too many vloggers chasing the same subscribers in the hope of being the next Bucket List Family, yet all doing exactly the same vlogs

    • @ChaseandShelbs
      @ChaseandShelbs  Před 2 lety +1

      I believe people should do whatever they want to do. Videos like that are still out there. CZcams is evolving and things change constantly. Find some channels you enjoy watching and enjoy!
