- All encounters are on custom difficulty (everything on grounded+ except resources). Starting with an abundance of ammo and crafting materials, as well as upgraded weapons, allows for aggressive gameplay. Custom difficulty also allows certain HUD elements to be seen on grounded.

@@Zeegoku1007 wrong realistically he would be a careful person trying to stealth kill enemies. Here he knows what the enemies are gonna do because the player knows it
@@gabrielebello1190 You can't be stealthy all the time. You need to adapt accordingly.
@@Zeegoku1007 In real life Joel would do broken stealth actually, kill some enemies stealthily and then when he get spotted he would fight with all he has, but he would not fight like this of course he would get damage, miss some shots and Ellie would help him if he gets grab by an enemy. Have you seen the gameplay trailer of the original the last of us? That's how he would react to enemies, he is a human not a machine that knows when enemies are going to spawn. Honestly i prefer this way because it makes things more realistic and enemies more of a threat. The gameplay of the last of us E3 2012 give me chills and a lot of hype i try always to play like that, trying to make the enemies look like a true human and now with the remake is easier to make cinematic gameplay with the new AI

I love how he relies so much on his bottles/bricks, and other equipment rather using his guns all the time. He has very strategic gameplay, and while playing on the remake just makes it even better

Exactly, the lack of dodging in part 1 puts more emphasis on performing the right inputs close range or landing crucial shots!

@@SmvR it's funny , cause you only get to this level of skill playing grounded. I have so many fights I've done so many times and when you perfect it its worth recording . Love it

I mean, it's possible to do it on both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 versions, you just have to stun them first and not give them a chance to recover. Or you can also kill them with the brick. It's also possible to do if they have your partner in a grapple.
Aggressive is an understatement, this guy was on the hunt! It felt like they were hiding from him ... 🤣🤣🤣. You made some of the most challenging encounters look easy, 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
The bloater tossing Ellie around was hilarious 😂
I know Joel and Ellie aren’t related by blood but by the end of part 2 you can see just how much Joel influenced her in who she is as an adult (I say this with all the love in my heart for their dynamic).
I watched this and then tried to play this way and instantly died multiple times, like not even close. I don’t know how the hell you do this or how long it must take you learn every enemies movement pattern but kudos man, it’s masterful.
Easy. He’s shooting guys in the belly and they’re dying. The modifiers are on, or it’s not grounded. He’s not even landing headshots. In other words, it’s BS.

@@cassandra_classic probably, but also in some of the vids he can see where enemies are through several walls, he may have memorized this, but he lines up shots or tosses a frag looong before the enemy is visible or any sound is made.
I remember playing through part 2 thinking "man I wish these Gore effects were in part 1"

It does not play the same the gameplay is definitely improved compared to the original game. I do think we needed a dodge though or some new gameplay mechanics though and sadly we don’t have all that here.

My first playthrough back I was pretty satisfied that I got some good looking gameplay on grounded - but looking at your near-perfect choreography and mechanics in these scenes, I'm in awe. Bravo, you always amaze.
If you've played grounded, you should have known that there will be no HUD.

the bloater hit Ellie so hard thrice 9:49 to 10:00 😂😂. Seems like he knew Joel is unbeatable. So he chose to fight small ellie. Btw some elite gameplay right there. You knew where will every enemy be coming from. It's like you are the enemy and they are the main character being hunted😂😂

I've beaten this game a few times on Grounded myself. I always choked the uninfected while using the bow and its awful targeting reticule for the infected. I lacked confidence in my aim and dreaded every single shot I missed. But you? Not only do you display accuracy, confidence, and fluidity I never had. Most of all, you are unashamed of using your arsenal lavishly, and efficient enough to make it all count! A great video! Will you be uploading more?
Keep in mind I’m replaying sections on grounded with more ammo/weapon upgrades, my first grounded playthrough was strictly all stealth! I’ll try and see if there’s enough encounters left for another video :)
@@SmvR Ah, this was New Game Plus! I remember that on PS4, NG+ was strangely limiting. Joel begins anew with all his upgrades from the pills, yet you still need to collect the weapons level by level, when they come fully upgraded! I suppose they were worried about the game being too easy, if you began again with literally everything?
Tell me, how challenging is NG+ on grounded now? Especially since you gain new weapons from the 2nd game like explosive arrows…

Damn I remember playing this game back in the good old PS3 days and later again on PS4. Still one of the best games
So impressive with your speed and accuracy. Every shot is a head shot except when shoot their knee so they fall to the ground. My gun aiming accuracy is horrible I want to be this good!

I played Part 2 in the same way, everything on grounded except for resources on very light. First thing i did upon entering each room was to shoot a couple of bullets in the air to get every enemy's attention, not a single stealth kill during the whole game. Awesome experience
