Extra hair care tip I forgot to mention! Don’t use everyday towels to dry your hair, invest in a microfibre towel or use a cotton t-shirt to dry your hair. When you wrap your hair up in your normal towel, there is a lot of breakage that occurs due to the friction they cause. As well, they can cause breakage by wrapping your hair up in them and they cause so much fizz!! So especially if you have curly hair, use a cotton t-shirt or microfibre towel!

I think the oil is called Sebum not Keratin.
I've found that just putting my hair in a bun with a silky scrunchy has helped out a lot with growing my hair out & preventing split ends.
Yesss!!! Buns are amazing for protecting your ends and silk scrunchies are literally the best 😍 thanks for sharing !!
OMGGG I DO THE EXACT SAMEEEEEE!!!! YESSSS GIRLYYYYY💕💞🥺💖
the hardest part of this journey is being patient! :) these are great tips, i follow them all! my hair is super healthy :D
Thank you for finally saying all of this. I’ve been screaming this from the rooftop for ages to us black girls and we get it because we’ve been doing this stuff for decades. Caucasian hair and others can benefit as well from these tips.
For sure! I’ve gotten some great tips and product recommendations from watching black beauty and hair care vids, especially the natural/ low chemical ones. I’m also in awe of what some of the hairstylists who specialize in black hair can do - so much creativity and versatility!
You're absolutely right, that's the real deal. You started with the two that's help me the most. Scalp massages (hands and brush), letting it get 'oily' (1 week wash works for me), and it has never grown so fast.
Yes, that was huge for me too!! Thank you for sharing this 🥰
Did you had thinking hair and hair loss problems or these things just make your hair healthier but you didn't have a real hair problem?
her voice is so soothing 🥺
You’re so sweet🥺🥰
Be Kind🌸🖤 i found this awhile ago on yt finger brushing your hair before using a hair brush works wonders!! also as someone with poor eyesight i’d rather feel my hair then rip through any knots.. ( if i can help it ) i’m still learning with it, i often have my rattail brush/comb with me whenever i finger brush my hair.
Omg I'm so glad I found this video. I am trying to grow my hair suuuuper long I learned so much! Also I just have to say you have literally the most beautiful hair I've ever seen, goalsss! I hope you will consider letting it keep growing longer! :)
Wowww thank you!! I think this is the best comment I’ve gotten 🥺💕 I’m so glad my video could help you on your hair growth journey! I actually recently cut my hair but I will definitely be growing it longer with time 😌❤️
Thank you for putting in the time to collect all these tips. Tomorrow I get my first trim in 1 &1/2 years and I hope that this will be the beginning of a long hair journey 🙆♀️
It makes it all worth while for comments like these! Best of luck on your journey and I hope these tips were useful ☺️💕
@@skiinbymeg hi, thank you so much for this video but how long did it take for you to grow it out?
Thank you for taking your time to make and upload this video... everything you said is such good information! 🌸♥️🥰

I agree I use silk pillow. Case from Amazon also
Anyone else not want to go get your hair trimmed because it ends up being more than a trim? Yeah, that's my issue :(
When I was younger and first was trying to grow my hair really long, I ended up looking up so many CZcams videos on how to cut my own hair so I wouldn’t have this problem anymore 😂😂 surprisingly it’s not too hard to do, as long as you are patient and get proper hair cutting tools!
yes 😭 i went in for just a bang trim and ended up deciding to get pixie cut
Ask for a dusting! That's what my mom used to tell the hair stylist back when my hair was knee length. Basically they only cut JUST like aa centimeter of the ends to get rid of the split ends. That way you don't have to worry that they're going to cut all your hair off.
I started my hair care journey like 2 months ago using all this tips+doing a diy hair mask every week (on my wash day) and mu hair never been better 🔥❤ it wasn't hard at all .. you just need some patient and be consistent ❤ love u from sudan
Ahhhh I’m so proud of you!!! It takes patience but all that work pays off! Thank you so much for sharing your journey with us I’m so excited for you, your hair is only going to keep getting better !! 🤩🤩🤩
Good tips! I'd love to see the green smoothie video.
I will definitely feature that for you 😋😋
Super thorough and helpful, thank you!
Thanks for watching!! Xx
Great tips! I wash my hair twice a week with tsal, use Hask deep conditioner on the ends, rinse and then use regular conditioner all over and got on medication for my thyroid. I’m 44 and my hair is almost to my waist.
This is great! Thank you ❤️
I’m so glad you liked it, you’re welcome ☺️✨
for anyone putting heavy oils in their hair as a mask i really recommend shampooing twice like she said but the first time put the shampoo straight into the hair with the oil in it before wetting it with water, that really helped me with getting the oil out
Best video ever, thank you!
Thank you so much!! 💖
Loved this! Thank you!!!!
So glad you liked it 🥰🥰
Your tips are completely right 😍 I tried that and I noticed a huge change in my hair
This makes me so beyond happy!!! These tips literally transformed my hair as well 🥺😍
Lo
Flaxeed....your hair will grow super quick
Eat it or put it on your hair?
@@scaryhaboob8951 vitamin tablet form
I use a Shea moisture and a Shea moisture conditioner and they're both so good
Yesss they’re so good 😍
Your video is great, thank you for your tips! Best wishes from Germany!💗
Thank you so much, I’m so glad I could help you! Hello from Canada !! 💕🦋
Thank you very much, greetings Mirabella
Told my hairdresses to chop 4 inches but she ended up chopping 14 inches & now I'm here
Oh no!!! I’m so sorry to hear that the hairdresser did that to you😭 hopefully some of these tips will help you see some quick hair growth 🙏🙏
Amazing video thank you.
Thank you🥺 So happy you enjoyed it!
Thank you so much. X
Girl! Suggest olaplex treatments. Because so many people use heat, chemical process and environmental stresses. It will rebuild the bonds of your hair to make them stronger
Yess! I’ve heard such amazing things about the Olaplex treatments too but I haven’t tried them myself. Maybe I’ll have to grab some to try out 👀
THANK YOU 🙏
YOU’RE WELCOME ❤️❤️❤️
I don’t cut my hair, and guess what, it grew hella long.😂
Love that for you!
Thank you so much for this video gorgeous! :)❤️ I will cut my hair off because I literally bleached it to death, I’m so exited to let it grow long and healthy, I always had longer hair, but it was always really damaged and looked so bad. I also got a quick question, you trimmed your hair every 2/3 months, how much exactly did you trim? I don’t know what’s too much or too little 😅 thank you for sharing this video with us :)
Ahh I’m so proud of you!! It’s not an easy decision to make but it’s for the best, and ur hair will thank you for it! The first time I cut my hair when I was serious about growing it long & healthy I cut off all the dead ends, so about 4-5 inches probably. Then after that I just did about an inch every time I went for a cut! hope this helps 🥰🥰🥰
So I finally had beautiful long hair then I bleached it to death then chopped it off in February then did another chop in April because it was still fried my hair started growing again and looks short but healthy now I’m hoping it’s Atleast a little past my shoulders by December
So glad you took the step to chop off your dead ends and have your hair be healthy, its a hard decision but it's going to help sooo much with maintaining the health and length of your hair! Wishing you the best of luck with your hair growth journey, with a little bit of patience and putting some extra love and care into your hair I'm sure you will be able to hit your goal by December! xx
Thanks. 💓💗💓
No problem 💕🦋
The SunBabe brand of lightening spray is a much healthier option to lighten your hair
Its really just bleach in a bottle. If you buy hair developer and mix it with water and spray it on, pretty much the same thing as the devloper usually contains a small percentage of hydrogen peroxide to lighten your hair. Just thought Id share so you guys can save some money
I oil my hair once a week and wash it every 4 days would it be ok to put oil just on the ends every 2 days?
Conditioner gets an oil treatment out earlier than shampooing multiple times.
Omg I had no idea about this!! 👀 do you massage your conditioner into your scalp too?
@@skiinbymeg yes, and I meant easier, not earlier lol... you can massage the conditioner onto your scalp, just make sure you thoroughly rinse it out. It's no different than cowashing, really.
If you are taking care of your hair and do noting to demage it there is no point in trimming it every 2 months. Not even 3. If your hair grows 2 cm in 2 months and the hair dresser is very nice they will take 2 cm off because they can't only cut a few millimeters... That means you cut off everything you grew. But usually they are horrible human beings and cut at least 5 cm which will shorten your hair month by month. I used to be obsessed over cutting my hair so it won't break and it just kept getting shorter over the years when all I wanted was to have long hair. I will only trimm it twice a year. After all I am taking good care of it. How often would I need to trim it if I used heat daily? 2 months is just extremely often...
I agree and only trim it when the ends get split and it’s snaggly looking. Saves a lot of money not going to the salon 12 times a year too!
Parabens actually aren’t bad for you and are some of the safest most tested preservatives, the preservatives companies have to use in place of them often have a much shorter history and less studies done on them and can thus cause irritation or have long term effects we don’t know about yet. Sulfates is somewhat similar where the alternatives can be way harsher, but that is more about personal preference. But don’t avoid ingredients just because a brand says they are “[ingredient]-free”, it’s just marketing and buzzwords
Hi! I have curtain bangs down to my chin and I want to grow them out fast. How long do you think they’ll take to get to my shoulder? Six months?
Hii!! Since on average your hair goes half an inch I would say 4-6 months! 💕💕
May I ask where can I get silk scrunchies? Which one would you recommend?
Look on Amazon
I got my silk pillowcases at dollar tree
Ahhh I love it!!! Silk pillow cases are so bomb 😍
Can someone write the 20 tips in brief please..
What lipstick are you wearing? I love it!
Thank you!! I believe it’s the Nars velvet matte lipstick pencil in the shade ‘do me baby’ 💕💕
I swear you are the Noah Cyrus & Kacey Musgraves lovechild. You are so beautiful!!!!!!!! And LOVED this video. Super helpful.
Omggg I’ve never heard that before but thank you!! I’m so glad you liked the video, I can’t wait for you to try out my tips!!
@@skiinbymeg 💜💜💜
You're so beautiful!
How long did it take for you to grow your hair to that length?
It took 2 years, from 2019 to 2021! I also got haircuts during that time!
How long have you been growing your hair?
I love avocado oil 🥑
One of my favorites too!!🥰
I took a shower today and washed my hair with shampoo and conditioner. I’ve had my hair cut so many times it seems like it’s really not growing back out like i want it to! I also always brush my hair before i shower and wash my hair and i also let my hair air dry?
I’d suggest integrating hair oiling and scalp massages into your routine to try to promote blood circulation & stimulate hair growth. Rosemary oil would be a great place to start!
@@skiinbymeg How exactly would i get some rosemary oil exactly. Isn’t that kind of stuff expensive to buy! Also what exactly is scalp massages?
How many years did it take you to grow out your hair? My hair is very thin I couldn't get past my bra area and after a break up I cut my hair short it looked damaged anyways now I'm trying to apply all those tips and I want them to grow till my midriff area. I'm already 24 years old, will I be 30 yrs old till I have amazing long hair ? 😭
*My hair is a bit longer than my collarbone area.
Do I have to stop dying ,? I can't stand to see gray.
I would even purchase a color depositing mask so it will help keep the color in between hair appointments so you can go a little bit longer in between. The Moroccan oil color depositing mask is a great option, you use it in place of your conditioner and it will help revive your color! You can purchase it through Sephora! Hope this helps!
How long did it take you to grow it this length
2 years! I also got a few haircuts during that time to keep it healthy!
You have beautiful hair. Also your color is my goal but mine is too dark like its black. I dont want to put any bad chemical but this vid insists me to dye my hair..
Thank you!! I love dark hair but if you want to dye ur hair lighter just make sure u deep condition after 🥰
How long did it take to grow your hair?🙂🙁
This was from the beginning of 2019 to the beginning of 2021 so just about 2 years, but I also got 3 haircuts in that time period! Also, by the end of 2021 my hair was at past my belly button and at the beginning of 2019 it was a couple inch’s below my collar bones ☺️
Hey babe, how long did it take you to grow your hair xxx
Hey love ! Great vid! I did want to let you know about the spinach smoothies... they are LOADED with Oxalates!!! PLEASE , research the dangers of oxalate poisoning!! I used to do spinach smoothies every day and poisoned myself! Check out the research of Sally K Norton! I wish I had known myself
My hair ties medal thing fell off
Am I the only who liked her with the mid length hair?
omg you're so cute
Letting the hair get oily doesn’t work for everyone my scalp gets ridiculously itchy after not washing for 2 days 😔
Have you tried brushing your hair thoroughly when it is oily? Sometimes it is the build up of oil and left over product that can cause the itchiness. Even trying out a clarifying shampoo may help with extending your wash days and making sure your scalp is thoroughly clean! Hope this helps!
Those hair ties you use are superrrr damaging still, you should stick with only scrunchies (especially silk ones!)
I only use scrunchies on my day to day as well! I just suggested the other ones because they are better than the average hair tie and some people don’t like the look of scrunchies. Thank you for sharing!
There are hair ties smooth and silky that don 't break the hair. I'm using them a lot when I braid my hair.
jojoba oil is a good oil to use for your hair
Lovvvve jojoba oil!!
....I killed my hair, so if I were to cut of all of my damaged hair/split ends.... That would mean shaving my head....
Because I wanted pure WHITE hair for Halloween....
I'm dumb haha!😂
So sorry to hear that! The best thing for you to do might be to cut off a couple inches to start to get some of the dead ends off. then continue getting regular haircuts from then on! 😌
Haha, ya thanks😊
My hair used to be waist length I'm growing it again. I don't have regular trims and my hair grew just fine last time and it's growing now. So I don't agree regarding trims.
How long did you grow hair out from your thumbnail to now?! Thanks I’m thinking atleast 2 years eh
It was pretty much 2 years exactly! The picture on the left was taken Jan 2019 and then picture on the right was taken Jan 2021! I also got 3 haircuts within that time period ☺️
If you payed $15, that's probably not silk.
You’re correct, It’s satin not silk, I clarified that in the video
Ur hair is thin
I'm Alone 😍😥
