I completely get number ten. I've tried brushing and styling my 3b/3c hair forward before and it has led to so much tangling 😭 I see so many type 2 and 3a curlies do it and have great voluminous results but sadly I've had to learn that it's just not for me.
And to whoever reading this I'm wishing you long healthy hair this year 💕
Same, combing it all forward just doesn’t work for me either
I appreciate that especially since I've lost 50% of my hair after battling severe covid illness. Praying my hair grows back.
@@joannediaz8978 I’ve also lost about 50% of my hair too due to covid. I’m wishing you a return of lots of luscious locks 🙏🏽❤️
@@joannediaz8978 i hope it grows back and is healthy and strong!
it works for me, just from person to person it differs. if you want to style it dont rely on just this comment, try it, and see if its for you or not!
Very informative and clear explanations. The stuff hairdressers just won't tell you and they don't seem to believe. The happiest my scalp and hair has ever been was when I followed many of these tips. Now after a year of hairdressers advice I have to start over and recover my hair & scalp 😏
Thanks for sharing your healthy hair habits. I will definitely implement these. Happy 2022!!
tangle tasers are amazing! i’ve used them for 5-6 years myself and they work wonders, super gentle!
Sectioning: wash and style saved my hair from dreaded tangles. Bun tastic sleeping helps too. I also like to wear my hair down when out n about with care. I have to feel like the glory of curly hair down makes the journey worth it ori lose interest in it!
Thanks girl! Gonna develop most of these habits for my wavy-curly hair and see how it grows
1. Use a pre-poo (pre conditioner) before washing your hair
2. Sulfate free shampoo
3. No heavy creams/products on your scalp
4. Clarifying shampoo from time to time
5. Scalp treatments
6. Only detangle your hair with conditioner in it
7. Get a detangling brush (Tangle Teezer) (EZ Detangler)
8. Deep condition at least once a week
9. Use a leave in conditioner after washing your hair
10. Brush/detangle your hair in the same direction you are going to style it in
11. Don't try defining your hair all the time
12. When drying your hair, use a micro fiber towl
13. Protective hair styles!
14. Sleep with a satin pillow case or a satin bonnet
15. Satin hair accessories
16. Do not bleach your hair!!!!
(Please!)
17. No heat. It's ok to straighten from time to time but limit it to about 2-4x a year.
18. Eat healthy
19. Trim your hair! It will keep your ends healthy. When your ends are unhealthy, they will break.
20. Don't pull your hair up tight.
❤
Thank you! She talks far tooooo much for my attention deficit. You numbering them helped me a lot
GOAT
Thank you!
You can still bleach your hair, just do a mask immediately after you bleach it, unless you're coloring it, in which case do it right after. It's a lot easier to keep it healthy if you bleach it when it's short and then just keep up with your roots
Goat
Thank you so much for sharing, I am trying to grow my hair to calf length!
I have to say you have literally the most beautiful, thick healthy hair I've ever seen! Honestly you should try to grow it as long as you can! 🤩
Solution Aptosis foods lolLies lies lies lies the culprit
Is bran endosperm and germ
Carbs starches if its not whole grain
I am so happy for you!! Your hair is full of potential!!! Great job!!
In my opinion, Lana, you're extraordinarily beautiful. You are not just a beautiful girl but also a cute person and funny
right!!
I'm sure she's knows. She told every day. AAAALLLL DAY
MOSST PEOPLE TEND TO PREFER HER OVER A DARKER SKINNED BEAUTY.
That's sweet! I agree
She is beautiful....like model beautiful....
@@anyn7339 True she is really beautiful like model beautiful
You’re stunning 😩✨
I feel number 20!! and I get such headache too when I pull my roots. Do you have some hairstyles videos about that? thanks Lana
I enjoyed this video. I'm guilty of wearing my hair in tight ponytails and slicking it back into a bun. The breakage is real 😩 but I'm trying to get back on track.
you're hair is beautiful xx
I would love to see a video about what your hair growth journey was like and the timeline.
Thank u so much I’m 16 and really didn’t know where to start with my hair journey so thank u for the tips ❤️
Samee
These are amazing tips, thank you Lana! You look beautiful as always! 🥰
I don’t have any words to explain how beautiful you and your hair are
I never thought about treating my scalp. I thought that was just for people with dandruff, lol. Thank you
Me and you legit have the same 3b curls and planning on growing it out super long and I know there isn’t a lot of curly boys who have long hair that take care of they’re hair . Love the vids !
you look dope dude keep it up :)
Happy new year lana i love your videos 😁😁
You and your hair are so beautiful 🤩
Love it thank you and curly Thursday rocks💖💖💖💖
I absolutely love your content💗
👍
Been waiting for this!!
Another great video thank you so much 🔥🔥🔥
Thank you honey, that first tip is something i never knew. Just got my hair short because it kept breaking.
Beautiful hair!!! I want my healthy brunette curls back! No more dyeing hair for me
Omg I love you I can totally relate, I can’t see anything with my hair out and about
hey lana i love your vids! my girlfriend caught me watching now she loves your vids too!
Great tips. thank you so much! You’re beautiful.
Lana, I'm really curious to know, what kind of vitamins do you use??
First time passing through your channel. This video is so perfect...I am already doing about 80% of the things you mentioned but I'll step my game up. Thanks for the details, i enjoyed it.
Subscribing to your channel now!
Love curly Thursday! Please link the brush you use to detangle xx
Great suggestions 💖could you add the scalp product link pretty please 🙏🏽
Very helpful video, Lana! I do some of these, like detangling as I'm rinsing the deeo conditioner out so the water pressure helos wuth detangling (I use a Wet Brush with intelliflex bristles, takes 1 min or less to detangle my dense 3b hair).
Habits are so important in a hair growth routine, not just products. I've felt from my iwn experience that consistency and regularity are key. Thanks for reminding us 😊
finally found my hair GODDESS and a hair religion to follow. thank you lana. i want my hair to look just like yours!!!
Wow thank you so much this has helped me a lot
That was a great video. Thanks so much
Thank you for this video.
You’re so pretty and elegant :)
You look stunning 😍!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well I totally agree with the denim brush I have 4c hair and I only use it when my hair is fully saturated I don't detangle my hair carelessly with it I go in with a wide teeth comb then use it but I mostly use the paddle brush
Thank you these are very helpful tips that i will be using in the future. Most of the links in the description don’t work and i really wanna check out those products . Thx lana 💕
I NEED THAT HEADBAND SCRUNCHIE OMGGG I’ve never seen that before 😍
Yes! I need to let my hair free sometimes
Oh my gosh! thank you very much for the tips, i put a lot of cream in my hair because i always demand that my hair have maximum definition, after watching this video i realized that i do everything wrong thank you thank you
thanks for the informative video! I tried to look up some of the products and all but one of your links didn't work for me. (I'm based in California). the shea moisture coconut oil link worked for me but that was it...
I’m the same. LOVE buns ❤️
Lana you didn’t link anything in the description! Could you please link the things you mentioned! :) ✨💜
Happy New year. 🎊 beautiful and bubbly. I’ve watched your other curly hair videos! 🥰🙌
The Denman brush is a styling brush. All the hairstylists I've spoken to have stated the same thing
Thank you for sharing, Lana! Quick question, I’m super interested in your headchi & satin head scarf, do you ship to the USA? I’m having a hard time converting it into US dollars. Thank you lovely 🤍 your hair is beautiful.
Do you have a good recommendation for clarifying scalp
I love your hair
You didnt link the grow gorgeous scalp product thing , I would love to know what that’s called
Happy New Year🎉
What clarifying shampoo and conditioner do you use?
Love your videos and suggestions..PL make a video on dry damaged colored bleached hair care routine and products shampoo.. conditioner.. every thing in detail..PL👍🥰
I've been using the Headchie bonnet every night for months and it has really helped my curls keep their moisture longer!
Ahh thanks so much for the feedback! Glad you're loving it!
The last video I remember watching of yours was your grad vlog
Great information. I love your name by the way. :-)
Where are the product links
Following these growth tips for now on. I am a sucker for slick ponytails. Smh 🙄 I just started wearing low manipulation styles.
Thanks very good video 💞
just subscribed!
The Denman brush is a styling brush instead of detangling, if you are refering to the traditional black/red ones.❤️I am guilt of the towel sin. I still use the normal one as I have no patience for different towels for body and hair. It doesn't impact my hair growth though.❤️
I do wear my hair in protective hairstyles every single night and I do have to wear it up for work anyway, but I want to enjoy my hair. My hair is almost down to my waist now and I use my homemade hair oil. All the time. I also have a bamboo brush and co
B to break up hair sebum. As long as I’m doing the brush in the comb of my scope, I leave my hair oil in to wash day
Thank you!
You're welcome!
Beautiful curly hair ❤️❤️😍❤️😍❤️❤️😍❤️😍❤️❤️❤️
Can I just say how utterly beautiful you look without any make-up
Also what vitamins do you use and your healthy routine 😊
I like watching your videos, I have a question what is a good deep conditioning. What you recommend
I Ik like the olaplex one !! Number 8
What a helpful video! Thank you so much! My hair is so damaged. I haven’t had it trimmed in some years and it grew very long but it became so damaged and thin. And also my hair started to break, so it gets shorter again. This video encouraged me to cut my split ends and to take better care of my hair ☺️
My hair used to be up to my back and I got tired of it and cut it but now it's really hard for me I want my old hair back 😭
I'm curious to know how much of your growth is based on your ethnicity and genetics.
There’s a lot of studies on it but basically Asian hair (East Asian) grows the fastest and African grows the slowest. I think it has more to do with your curl type which depends on race somewhat but there’s more research to be done
Hair that is straighter will appear longer then tightly curly or wavy hair. Tightly curly hair is more brittle, so it breaks off at the end more quickly. It's not so much that straighter hair grows faster but that curly hair looks shorter (because of its curl pattern) and breaks more at the end. If a curly and straight haired person both cut their hair at the same time, chances are they would both grow one inch at the same rate. The curly hair would look shorter however and over time would break more quickly at the end.
A lot of it. But still have to care for it.
How many times do you cut your hair in a year?
How long did it get you to grow your hair between those pics?
How long did your hair took from the first pic when your hair was straight and thin till now
I didn't expect Jimin to show up😆
I cant even remember what I put in my video 😂 where did he show up?!
@@LanaSummer 1:54 btw are you an army?
Hi there, those are all great tips and I do most of them. I'll be making a bigger effort to be more consistant though
Very helpful. Thank you. I use heat but my hair loves it but it’s low indirect heat. I don’t comb my hair or add products once it’s styled. Do you refresh or comb?
Girl u extremely beautiful, i wish i was u 😭
Great Video as always
😻Lovely thumbnail tho😻

Someone said this wasted their time but babe, you could have changed the speed of the video to be faster??? No one made you watch this. Aside from that, thank you for your tips! Hard to find a deep conditioner that’s cruelty free and not priced for an arm and leg. As for people not wearing their hair up in a bun, it blows my mind. I hate having my hair out on my body and it potentially rubbing product all over me. That can cause breakouts. And I in general, feel like I can’t get a lot of stuff done with my hair in my face. The hair trimming is called the search and destroy method. So it’s not frequent trimming, but rather, hey this little piece of hair is not doing so good snip snip. Getting rid of dead weight.
I don't know why I'm watching this... Its to my hips but I want it to my knees o.o
I dislike a denman. I dont have enough smooth silky slip in my hair for that brush.
Scalp is a weird word to me aswell 😆
The only link that is working is the Shea moisture coconut oil. Are there any products you recommend for 2C hair that does not like coconut products?
Go lightweight products.
I like to keep my hair up in a big claw clip most of the time, does that count as protective???😂
I think so!!
I flip my hair back n fourth by Willow Smith 🤣🤣🥰
i looked away from the video for a sec, looked back and Jimin was on the screen 😂 i was like wait did i click a different video?? lol
Cam someone explain me tip no.10??
Does anyone know how to detect when your hair is splitting in curly hair? Like it might sound weird but I feel like I can only see split ends when my hair is straightened lol.
i search and destroy when my hair is in twists. honestly the best way to tell is kist feeling the hair. Feel your roots, really focus on the feeling, then run your fingers down the braids to the ends. If the ends feel significantly worse than the roots, it may be time to dust the hair or search and destroy the split ends.
Beautiful curly hair ❤️❤️❤️🤩❤️🤩❤️🤩🤩🤩🤩🤩🥰🥰🤩💘😙🤩

Amazing video. I'm a teenage girl trying to figure how to take care of her curls. You had amazing beginner tips!
Can you do a video of protective hairstyles that use curly hair girls can do so our hair can grow
Coming right up!!
What is the name of the hair growth oil?
I use, tea tree and rosemary oil, they have it at Target. Sometimes, castor oil and maracon oil, got it at Wal-Mart, it's probably at Target, too!
Please help me with my hair
