Bringing the bedroom to the pickleball court
Was fun to witness this in person. Some other fun ideas of pros vs 5.0s: 1) pros play with random objects (frying pan, franklin sweet spot paddle, etc), 2) pros wear eye patch to cover one eye, 3) pros wearing a weighted vest, 4) pros play with non-dominant hand only, 5) pros have to have a paddle in both hands, 6) at random times the ref blows the whistle and the pros must play with different paddles and equipment (never getting used to something), 7) pros can only hop on one leg the whole time.
I really like number 6. Every point the pros make they trade out to a different paddle the ref gives them.
I tried #7. That was exhausting and so much harder than it sounded
A couple more variants. Paddles: Bird, wood, sweet spot trainer.
No speed ups or you need to speed up every ball. No topspin or slice.
These vids are so entertaining! Great job Zane and crew!
This was cool. I know Zane is a pro but it's still impressive seeing so many well hit two-handed backhands and forehands with quick hands
I loved watching these videos! So entertaining! Keep them coming.
While playing pickleball this morning, I saw a dog wearing a recovery cone and I thought, "the pros should wear those against the 5.0s!"
Omg! This was so funny..I was laughing out loud. The “officer” was a hoot. Great idea. Please keep doing these challenges.
Carlos could be a real Ref. Good kitchen fault call
this was fun to watch
Well done officer😂 very entertaining!
You guys should do one where the pros have to use either kid pickleball paddles or ping pong paddles 😅
Even one of those small sweet spot training paddles maybe.
@@davidtorres8396 yeah! I'm getting my mom one of those for her birthday, they look pretty frustrating 🤣
Way closer than I expected
These are incredibly entertaining. Keep em coming. Let them start at the kitchen line like the drill game????
Hilariously entertaining! Love it! Like Harlem globetrotters v the Washington generals.
Love these! haha
9:37 Zane has nice calves for a skinny
Amazing Pickleball content made for CZcams
This has me laughing my ass off. Good stuff
after missing the first lob, i dont know why they didnt attempt it any more. it seems like u wouldnt need a very good lob to beat 1 guys with his legs tied and another with his hands tied.
Doing one handcuffed to each other would be hilarious. Would need to be a righty and lefty to make it work but would be curious to see how it would look. 😂
takeaway was how effective a good 3rd shot drive is (i think its the most undervalued PB shot) & the sheer difference in reaction time/handspeed at the pro level. at the pro level the transition from drive/power to kitchen game was seemless vs in my rec play you rarely see dink rallies because the consistency is not there yet, combined with the ability to just win points by just speeding up. here, I was shocked i didn't see more lob attempts (swear I only saw like 2.) overall i was impressed by both teams' resets and short game. footwork and positioning is the most important PB skill and you can def see the game was much tougher without the legs than the arms.
Give the 5 peps a smaller kitchen… meaning they are able to be closer to the net. Like 1 foot or 1 1/2 less.
"The Zangaroo", "Zane the Boxer", "Zane't going anywhere"
1) Attach a workout/therapy band between paddle hand and foot where anything above waist level causes tension. So, no overheads (maybe). Dinks would likely easy except cross body. 2) therapy band attached at elbows behind back. 3) no cross court shots ( ie only down line, same side shots). Variation could also be that one player is down the line the other is only cross court. Have fun.
Next time it would be really interesting if the pros played with wooden paddles.
Zane I wonder how much of the oddball game play will actually give you an adaptability boost that transfers into tournament play. Kinda reminds me of the "Patrick Mahomes" anything goes playmaking ability.
i knew Zane freaky af
Tennis serves next time would be interesting.
The “5.0” in glasses is very good, definitely higher then a 5.0
Zane, is your competition really 5.0? So many balls into the net!
I don’t know if its too late to comment, but I agree with other comments that wooden paddles or ping pong paddles should be used, but seeing Zane with the elastic band gave me the idea that maybe boxing gloves should be given to pros. I think that would be entertaining since grips are important
Pros can only hit forehands (no backhands)?
We have done Pirate Pickle, where you have to wear a patch over one eye. I don't think you guys would have a chance because of perspective. What's a Pirate's favorite letter?...RRRRRRRRR.
Shorten the 5.0s side by four feet?
Pretty sure the lefty 5.0 came down to the tournament in Mexico! Kicked my trash!
Next one: Pros play holding a 5lb dumbbell in their non-paddle hand.
5.0 aint what it used to be....
Punishment should be ice bath for sure
Immediately went to the comment section
Carlos could be a real ref, good kitchen fault call
What will they come up w next? Lol
Why didn't they try lobbing, I'm curious how overheads are gonna work with hands cuffed XD
Are these really 5.0 players? Why are they so inconsistent with their hard drives, drops, dinking and hand battles? You know the Pros can't smash so why can't they even make a simple Lob? They're missing so many hard drives and losing hand battles to a handcuffed opponent. Either they were taking it easy on the Pros and keeping the score close for the fun of it or they were playing in Sleep mode.
They can't even handle a handcuffed opponent's hard drives... really? Overall very fun to watch and quite entertaining.
Lobs all day!
What about a game of no forehand volleys for Pros
Have pros play with tortilla pans in lieu of paddles.
zane was enjoying being cuffed a little too much....
Lmfao
Zane is a sexy beast
Wanna-be orchard security guy
totally man! I wanna be just like him
5.0 at best
They were 5.0?
It’s CZcams and entertainment.. relax Mr. 6.0
Ok clearly this is how @jamesignatowich has been cross training.
