Tiafoe is such a cool guy humble and respectful. He is doing great. " You go Tiafoe '
Two of my favorite ATP players along with Ben Shelton.....Loved this interview!
I believe that this same lack of humility that is making Kyrgios think and say that Casper is a granted win for Tiafoe in the final, is the same one that is making him remember the Wimbeldon final everyday.
This should be getting millions of views. Appreciate you being yourself Kyrgios!
Nick has the most amazing serve mechanics in the game. Such amazing consistency, power and accuracy!!
Wow! You were so relaxed with this ep Nick! Love Frances! You both were so relaxed and genuine, the conversation flowed easily! 👏👏👏
Love these guys and look forward to seeing their impact on the sport keep going on and on!! Thankful to be a fan in their “era”!
Bruh only 22 minutes is a crime!
6:57 is a great mindset to have in life. Show love regardless of outcome.
17:52 The most respectful guy ironically named Ruud, keeps getting disrespected. 😭😂
it's true though
I remember Frances winning the orange bowl back when we were kids and he was kind of the only one in the draw competing with „older“ stuff in that absolute fire black red adidas kit, just whoopin ass…
Guy was always the most humble person and so respectful to everyone, hope he wins a slam one day!
Top class interview, if there's one word i take from this it's EXCITEMENT! Every sport needs it and these two guys definitely bring it to tennis....
Love this. 1) great that he's interviewing non-tennis players, but if I'm honest, the tennis players are my favorite with what Nick brings to it! I was a hater for years until I saw him play Nadal live at Wimbie and follow a second serve aace (announced second fastest serve ever at Wimby) with an underarmed serve winner. You wonder what he showed Nadal, Federer, Djoker beating them all the first time he played them that they had never seen before. Keep up the good work, Nick. Very proud of you!
Frances Tiafoe was just a fresh burst of air for tennis. His story is similar to Venus and Serena! His story hits a lot of regular folk hard. Such a humble guy on and off the court.
How is his story similar to Venus and Serena? Please don't come with those cliche bullshit stories of poor black people with hard lifes and having to fight so many injustices and unequal chances in a big evil white world
Favorite show so far
To great guys and players who bring fun to tennis
Love both of these guys!
My two favorite players.
16:07 love Frances but the slight to Casper is insane. He’s had a more accomplished career than both him and kyrgios all things considered, and he played pretty well in the final itself. Definitely no guarantee like Nick kept alluding
Ridiculous. Just look at the rankings. Ruud is top ten. Not a great closer, but has played lots of finals.
Actually Casper was extermely rude when much younger - I still don't like the poor guy. When Nick was disqualified in Rome for throwing a chair onto an empty court (third strike rule) he was playing Casper, who proceeded to beat his chest with joy and cheer. You simply don't do that when your opponent has been dq'ed. Ever.
I get where you're coming from but at the same time I agree with Frances. If he got past Alcaraz in the semis he would have a US Open title right now. The edge of the rowdy American crowd would have definitely played a huge part in getting him over that hump. And I don't see it as necessarily a slight, I just think he was basically saying "if i can beat alcaraz, my chances of beating Ruud are pretty good"
it's not insane if it's true.
Ruud's not the gracious guy everyone thinks he is. Just when the camera's are watching he's a gentleman
I'm was glad to hear that Tiafoe and his coach recently decided to go their separate ways. I never thought he was the right coach for him. I would like to see Tiafoe with Renae Stubbs or Big Sacha. Tiafoe has to much talent and he right at yhe door. He just need to add few things to his game. I want to see him win some 500 and 1000 tournaments. I know 250 are good wins and good mental boost. I also you could tell that he hasn't been happy since he lost that USA Open. I'm rooting for him and Nick. Nick could have won at least two GS but he wasn't ready mentally. I rooting for Keys, Townsend, my heart breaks for these USA players. Taylor should have a sponsorship the way she's been playing these last few years.
That was amazing!!!
Love your interviews, Nick. I'd sure like to see you play again though! Is that a possibility?
Maaan, this was a good one
Tiafoe played a challenger in Stockton Ca. I watched him in person and just thought “man, this guy is slow”. Never thought this guy would make it this far.
Love your work Nick ❤
adoro, assistir vcs jogando grande abraços
Why is Tiafoe english so difficult to listen to? Is it because he is from a particular region in US with such dialect? I consider myself pretty good at English , but everytime he speaks, I find it so difficult to understand him
Same here!! And I have no trouble understanding many other black Americans.
Maybe this podcast is not for you. Pass it on to someone who needs to listen to it. They will understand Tiafoe's English.
@@sportslover2356 problem is actually I like Tiafoe and was just asking a genuine question to see if my english is that bad... no need to go on defense mode
@@minguyen2589hes a bit of a mumbler...only native speakers exposed to the accent before will understand easily
Yeah. He just mumbles a whole lot.
Denzel was at the U.S. Open? Great interviews. Nick kills it.
Nick there’s nothing wrong with being chubby especially when you’re a kid. Weight should never define a person. 😊
Casper Ruud and Tiafoe both went pro in 2015. Ruud has 10 titles, Tiafoe has 3. In 2024 Ruud is 18/5, Tiafoe is 7/7. Yeah, I think Ruud wouldn’t have been easily beaten by Tiafoe had he made it to the final.
ruud is a 250 merchant that is a clay court specialist, tiafoe with a the hype of the crowd takes that easy
@@Malloch_Huiruud has played in 3 GS finals. Are you thinking of Rune?
I actually love that Nick says that about Frances chance in the final.
All credit to Ruud and his career first off but you gotta look at the zeitgeist in that potential matchup in time.
Tiafoe would’ve had the entire US Open crowd behind his back and he thrives under conditions like that.
End of the day both players benefited from that 2022 US Open run.
Just want to see Nick back on court again to be honest!
His honesty in these clips are refreshing.
Tiafoe will never be in a GS final...@@Malloch_Hui
Lost some respect for Tiafoe after Machac whooped him in straight sets at the AO and Tiafoe was actually going to snub him on the handshake. Machac literally had to walk over to Tiafoe at his bench. Machac whooped him!
this was recorded before he lost to Benny in Queens huh?
Could have talked a lot more about where to from here! Tennis has become so biscuit coloured this year - they called it change of attitude and bro it sure is. No three setters, no three hours, no three tie breakers...the only matches worth watching are the old school passionate guys. Everything so correct and well mannered and 'wholesome' oh lord. That's what needs to change - come back with a passion.
Wish I could have seen you VS Ben in River oaks
Bang bang
Maybe the video is highly edited and key bits were cut out, but in some instances the transitions from Frances’ answers to Nick’s questions seem inorganic and rushed. If the interview was more conversational, it would come across organic and enjoyable for the audience. Instead this feels like it should’ve been a written article posted online.
My man said he’s 28 like that isn’t prime tennis age lol
I know that was ridiculous. He was born at the perfect time to take advantage of the big 3 era ending and before Sinner, Alcaraz and possibly Rune start winning everything. It was a narrow window but he had the chance to win a Slam or two.
@@c3vzn Foreal. I’m 35 and I’m like bro. Give me 28 again plz. I still ball tho so he def should get back on the court if his injuries allow him
I feel this show works better with tennis players. It’s awkward when Nick tries to relate himself to people like Garry V and Gordon Ramsay, there’s not enough in common other than being slightly controversial. Or maybe just expand it to sportspeople.
Ramsay was ridiculous. Not even a great chef.
I have a theory that Tiafoe grew up trying to fit in with the black people in his school even though he was a tennis player. That’s why he walks the way he does and talks the way he does.
❤
16:00 come on now! Ruud has played 2 Roland Garros finals lost to Nadal first and then djokovic, he has played the usopen final lost to Alcaraz, he lost to Djokovic in the final of the ATP finals. The ego to claim that he (Francis) would have been the absolute winner if he reached the final is such drunk pub talk..... 😮 The ego!
lol the title of this made me laugh
I Love Love Nicks Conversation 💪🏾💪🏾💐❤️💯
Serena and Venus support him lot...
to lit
where is Djokovic???
👍🏾👍🏾❤❤
Big Foe!
good to see yall talking. lot of things in common. 0 grand slams and that will never change haha
Looks like you learned nothing from this. Maybe go and watch a podcast that is meant just for you.
@@sportslover2356 learn from trash players??? Msy as well listen to a bum like u
novak is a alien
US Open - biggest stage in the world, sure Nick 😅
Im sorry, but Tiafoe is far from the "biggest tennis star".
Not a Tiafoe fan tbh, the shade towards Casper when Casper has accomplished 3 times as much as him just screams bitterness tbh. At least Nick doesn’t pretend to be a ‘lovable goofball’ like he does
Tiafoe thinks and speaks like he won GSs, he is so dillusional that is like a comedy 😂
What's up with Kyrgios's hairline?
Nick.. Please call Serena or Venus in the Bordcast..
Frances is not a big tennis star, just a pretty decent average player. Of course he has the black privilege and diversity propaganda machine behind him, pushing him to be the next black poster boy
What is black privilege? There is no AA in sport, the competition decide who is better. Do you think that Serena or Venus received some privilege in their career? I agree Tiafoe is an average player, but there is no pass in sport.
Tennis needs to divorce itself from the socioeconomic and classist parts of its culture to advance.
Tennis is its own worst enemy in the sense that requiring silence and dress codes stops regular people from falling in love with it.
It needs a culture rebrand and more affordable access to racquets/gear for low-income kids.
I’d also add that including a draft element similar to what pickleball is doing with the MLP/PPA would be helpful. Team tennis .
Nope. Leave tennis alone, it ain't basketball. Tennis is turning into a classless noisy brawl for teenage boys. It's the reflection of new money culture that has never opened a book. Am sick of the hood culture getting into everything. Tennis was great in the 80's, you probably weren't even born. What to expect from a guy who has a back covered in Pokémon, can barely name a player who isn't black. But we're the racist ones.
Why is K's face morphing into his neck... Is he gaining weight?
I think both kyrgios and Tiafoe have hit their respective ceilings PRECISELY because they think they know more than a coach. A true champion knows that a coach, well used, is a potential extender of self efficacy, not a blocker of self or progress. Don’t know about Foe, but Kyrgios is stuck on “you’re not the boss of me”. That’s always obvious. But for this Nick would have won a GS years ago.
Nick makes a good point that not everyone can afford a coach and not every coach has the players best interest at heart, very few. Lots of examples in the past where a tennis coach clearly had conflict of interest when their player played another player they have connection with. Tennis coaching need more regulation, and standards. They work with children and some coaches are downright abusive but get a free pass because they train talented players who will win matches regardless of strategy. Nick may not need a coach, his tennis IQ is excellent, he may not need to be told what to do or not to do, he just needs to be supported and guided.
Hahaha yeah easy win for Foe against Ruud. 3 time gs finalist. No way nr 30 in the world is gonna loose to that guy 😂
Good day, Nick. I love your podcast. Very interesting topics and guests. I think you need to pay your buddy Jack Sock a visit to North Carolina and spend some time with him playing Pickleball in his backyard. Jack shows his personality in Pickleball tournaments and the fans love it. Maybe you two can team back up playing mens doubles in Pickleball. You can make a big impact on the game and on a lot of kids who are interested in pickleball. The cost to get into pickleball and to learn is a lot less than tennis. Your gut will tell. you when it is time to hang it up in pickleball. I hope to see you playing with Jack Sock mens double this year in pickleball.
Sheeeeeesh some people are being casually racist in these messages and probably don’t realize it lmao! Frances may frustrate me with his inconsistency but the guy has a charm and clowns who make these ‘subtle’ dogs at him that a veiled, I would just love to see him win so they can get off that pedestal they think they’re on trying to tear this guy apart

Nick is ok for the game but he has an oversized ego and overestimates his impact on the game. He talks about how tough it was in his peak era with the big 3, but in reality he got beat a lot by players who weren’t the big 3 lol. Talk about delusional. I find Sinner so refreshing compared to guys like Kyrgios - no bs, plays it straight, no ego etc
Nick’s journey is unique and harder than anybody in the professional tennis world, in his own mind at least.
Glad his influencer journey has been much smoother.
@@kaunglei what was so hard about it? Self inflicted idiocy doesn’t count.
Absolutely. He forgets mcenroe did it all before him along with 7 grand slams and forgot how many doubles titles.
Sinner is such a nice guy. Nick has asked him to coach him to a grand slam final. That Miami final was so extremely exciting. 63, 61 was it? Compared with Miami 2017 semi. Nick vs Federer. Three hours, three sets, three tie-breakers. Yeah well...
I Love both of yall but I’m gonna be honest Casper Ruud is better of both of you guys. Careers speak louder, Francis can barely pass 1 rounds of tournaments nowadays.
Tiafoe goes from incredible talent looking like a champion to 'doing me' no coaches and now sucks, they're both clowns
two washed professional yappers
This is not entertaining.
Tiafoe has barely won a match this year and he still thinks he can win a slam.
LOL
He is being left behind
Both of these guys have boring personalities. I really think this interview is about as interesting as watching paint dry.
You are not the intended audience for this interview. Plenty of magnificent podcasts about magnificent players doing magnificent things to satisfy you. The rest of the world needs these two
