      Ed you have the talent and experience with CZcams. Jaume of course has a lot of experience and knowledge at the pro level. You both have something to offer each other that would make the perfect combination for an even more outstanding CZcams Channel!!

    Love his philosophy of focussing on one skill at a time, rather than playing
    aimlessly 5 times a week!

      I do want to say that I don’t think there is anything wrong with playing for fun 5 times a week. That’s how I fell in love with pickleball myself! Nothing wrong with just playing for pleasure sake.
      For players who are aspiring to improve, growth truly does happen in intentional, deliberate settings.

    A video on shot selection and analysis at different levels from him would be awesome.

    Just want to say Ed it takes so much humility to step on a court with a player of this caliber, learn from him and have this honest conversation about your frustrations. Much respect

    Ed, your talent and experience with CZcams, combined with Jaume's extensive knowledge and expertise at the professional level, make for the perfect partnership for an exceptional CZcams channel. This collaboration will benefit Jaume as well, as his busy schedule leaves him with less time to dedicate to CZcams. Together, you can elevate your content and provide viewers with an outstanding experience, leveraging each other's strengths to create something truly special.

    Great info! Players coming over to pickleball from playing such a high level in tennis have all the mechanics, shots, smarts and court presents. Very hard to pick up those skills if you didn't start at a young age. His tennis background transitions right over to pickleball!

    Great interview. Playing rec games with intention to develop a weakness has changed my game. Similarly, if I get pulled into a lower level game with friends I pick something to get reps on. Changing the mindset from did I win to did I get better.

    Ed thank you for bringing Jaume to your channel. Jaume is kicking butt (def Ben Johns #1) in the Arizona singles and will be playing Sunday in the Final Championship! 👍👏👍 He’s a pleasure to watch and I predict he’ll dominate on Sunday.

    Love Jaume and good info. But kind of common knowledge info for people who played pretty high level competition in sports. Various sports implement the same. Film review, knowing the ball you give your opponents, knowing what options they have, and trying to develop profiles on opponents and capabilities.

  • @jkeiffer
    @jkeiffer Před 5 měsíci

    I'd like to ask Jaume about whether he watches the ball hit his paddle. Are high level players doing that? Because I don't and kinda always thought I should be watching the ball contact my paddle. Am I wrong? But then he mentions looking at his opponent just before he hits to see where his paddle is and what they may be able to hit back easier or less depending on shot selection. Really good stuff.
