Quang Duong has by far the best groundstrokes in this game.
Also BTW very humble young man. Gave credit to his opponents even when the reporter said he ran through them today.
He’s what 18? Think about how good he will be in like 3 years. Dude will win some golds and get the best of the tops guys more often like Ben, Staks, etc.
@TheGrimReaper13Seconds definitely agree. He has his own unique style because of how well he can rip those groundstrokes. Even the best like Ben and Vich have trouble dealing with how hard and shapely he hits those shots
Quang will be forced to learn the cat and mouse game or he will never get over the top. Otherwise, he will knock off good players, but never succeed to be the best.
@@nilkamals Ben didn't have much of a problem with Quang a little over a week ago before winning Gold again.

There's grunting and then there's GRUNTING. Grunting is a quick, sharp exhalation to tighten muscles and improve performance. GRUNTING is an over the top moan that is a hindrance to opponents and viewers. Quong Duong is a GRUNTER.

Please leave the grunting in tennis. It’s annoying.
I’m so scared that pickleball is going to become tennis like this where everyone plays from the baseline just groaning and ripping ground strokes 🤞 I just hope they stop the groaning, it just makes it so annoying to watch
Unfortunately, grunting, excessive celebration, ... seem to be the thing these days. If you want to see the most ridiculous grunter/screamer, look up Tomokazu Harimoto playing table tennis. I'm kind of immune to it though. Otherwise, you won't survive out there playing against young kids.
Should have age groups. This does look like for older people any more😅
For some, grunts improve their game performance.
Get used to it. Grunting is to force breathing out when you hit the ball. It promotes good habits.
It looks like approach shots have to be better now- just like in tennis. Otherwise, you get passed like QD’s opponent.
Can’t listen to grunters.
Finally, something that will hurt the growth of pickleball. The grunting and squealing has made tennis unwatchable and will do the same here, if not stopped immediately.

Dinking is unwatchable IMHO.
Its breathing technique. Boxers do it, batters do it, tennis players do it just dont watch with sound 😂
if you can't "talk or call out things" in pickleball (distraction rule)...don't understand how groaning every shot is allowed... it really isn't common like in tennis. And does it really help?
Yeah it helps. It forces you to breathe out when hitting the ball. It promotes good habits

Why is the PPA being so lax on Quong's illegal serve? You can slow down almost every serve and he is releasing it mid stomach
His serves are excellent and within the parameters of what a legal serve should be.
