- When it comes to overlanding, it is not just about the off-road journey, but the end destination and having everything you need to get you there and back.
The Toyota 4Runner has been nicknamed the mini van of the off-road world; but that works for us as we do not plan to build the Ultimate Overland Rig; but to build our Overland Runner meant for daily driving, weekend trips and tackling off-road terrain!
First on the list is upgrading the suspension of our 5th Gen Toyota 4Runner to an Icon Vehicle Dynamics Stage 3 suspension kit complete with Black Rhino wheels and Yokohama tires. LGE CTS Motorsports handles the install and then joins us as we hit the trails north of Big Bear Lake.

Thanks for demonstrating why you should NEVER go through one of those gas station car washes 👍
talks about getting a bumper repainted.... takes it through a swirl mark generator wash T___T
მიყვარს ეს მანქანა☝️❤️🙌🙏
That mechanic was legit!
Very nice vlog. Question: Approximately how much did it cost for the suspension, wheel & tire upgrade cost?
I can’t wait to see what’s ahead! Great video 🔥
Great video. Can’t wait to see what you do next.
SR5 gang!!
Nice video, thanks for sharing ✌
Excellent video !!
Was looking forward to new auto revolution!!!
The fist 4runner video I've seen where the mechanic pops the ball joints and tie rods they way 90% of mechanics do it. Whack it with a hammer! lol
Got the sr5 too. Take it everywhere off road with the stock suspension, 2 and a half inch lift with 286/70/17 tires. You def can’t be flying all over the place like he did in this video. You have to be smart if you don’t have the money for all these upgrades. I do want to get a suspension upgrade but they are expensive. Might just go with the Bilstein 5100 route front and back, one of the most cost effective upgrades but including install and alignment it’s still costly for my budget right now.
Sorry for the guys who washed their vehicles right after this guy 😖
I learned the same lesson SR5 here too I still got stock suspension but wrapped ATs on it ATRAC is a disaster held all my torque and snapped my CV blew the bearings out the hub mainly due to the front end flexed all the way
Nice vid!
Damn wish this was tested with the kdss system!
Man I need to find a good off road style shop for my 4runner here in Maryland. Cali has so many awesome respected shops like this specifically for off roading. Haven’t been able to find much where I live.
So for suspension, wheel, and tire how much did it run you
What offset are you running?
