  • The rig I get asked the most about from our videos my friend Robert's 5th Gen 4Runner TRD Off-road. We take a detailed look at everything Robert has done to his 4Runner to make it an overlanding beast that can handle just about any obstacle in front of him.

    • @robertwicker196
      @robertwicker196 Před 2 lety +2

      I simply removed the platform, marked the holes in the base of the Falcon and drilled them out. It was really pretty simple. The base of the tent has a pretty thick floor and is holding up very well, I did use fender washers to distribute the stress of the bolts.

      I simply removed the pioneer platform and placed the tent directly on the backbone mounts. I marked the holes, took off the tent, opened it up and drilled new holes. I left some bolts in the old holes to cover them up.

    • @mdtwyne
      @mdtwyne Před 3 lety

      Hey @@robertwicker196 , thanks for the explanation! Love the low profile. Just to clarify, you drilled holes directly in the bottom of the tent body correct? And you’re not connecting to the two t-slot channels that come mounted on the tent, running parallel to the truck body, correct? Thanks!

    • @robertwicker196

    Can you talk about insurance? With all those modifications that cost $$$$. Did you have to buy extra insurance or let you insurance company know about modifications. If you get in a wreck is the vehicle covered 100%?
