- The rig I get asked the most about from our videos my friend Robert's 5th Gen 4Runner TRD Off-road. We take a detailed look at everything Robert has done to his 4Runner to make it an overlanding beast that can handle just about any obstacle in front of him.

Best Looking 4 Runner out there.
Oh man this the the video I've been searching for, a TRD OFF ROAD with a FRONT DIFF LOCKER & MAGNUSON SUPERCHARGER, c4 low bumper with 10k winch, basically this is how I want to set up my TRD OFF ROAD. great video guys and thank you so much!
instablaster.
Looks like a fun group to hang out with. Thanks for the video - two years after the fact. I'm slow.
Gorgeous!
My inspiration ❤️
That Jeep Guy sure did pick a good line for him up Hells Gate!
😂😂
We wont talk about the fact that that was my SECOND line :)
@@robertwicker196 LOLOL
@@robertwicker196 haha!😂
Awesome walk a round guys
Thanks!
Awesome stuff!
Thanks!!
Awesome set up brother! I am setting mine up for the spring it’s hard to find people in southeast missouri that wants to go out. A lot of mall crawlers here!
Great vid. Thanks! 👍🏼
Awesome videos
Thanks!
Great Review thank you guys happy 4 wheeling 👍🇺🇲🇺🇲
The Vermonter
Thanks!
As the owner of both a TJ and a 5th generation 4Runner TRD Off Road, I like seeing your "usual suspects" in most of the videos. I appreciate this walk around, man. Thanks! 👍🏽
I love having mixed rigs on our trips.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures Absolutely. It adds to the adventure and the camp-side humor as the trash talk ramps up! You have a good crew, to be sure.
@@brawldawg8729 They are my best friends and there is plenty of trash talk going on all the time! LOL.
love that you guys have a mix of cars i love 4runners and fjs but like to watch the jeeps to
Thanks. I do too.
This thing is pure offroad sex ... just bought a 5th gen and have tons of aspirations for it.
Awesome Rig 🇺🇸 👌 👍
The Vermonter
Thanks 👍
Recently purchased a 2020 TRD Off Road Premium. Slowly building it up. May not make it to this level, but you never know.
how, what a well equipped car and nice place for sleeping:) Big like from me!:)
I’ve got a 5th gen! Would love to get it looking like this one day. I’m about to get a 3” lift with 275/70
One step at a time. You'll love the lift and bigger tires!
You should do more walk around rigs
I'll be doing my rig very soon. Just gotta go to a location that's not my driveway. LOL
Great review- would like to get links to the shocks/suspension on the 4Runner. Thanks for the great content
Thanks Tim. I’ll see if Robert can provide those.
lets hear that super charger whine!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
For real!!
I’d be curious to see how his midland mxt275 is mounted assuming that’s what he’s running.
Great videos!
I'd guess Gorilla double sided tape, which what I plan on using with mine in my own 4Runner.
Why does his lights always flicker in all videos he is in? Love the videos. Keep up all the great content. Live in NWA and hope to meet up with all you guys soon
It's common for LEDs to look like they are flickering in video.
Any armor on the underbody?
Agreed, love that you guys do 4Runners on the channel, not just Jeep's. I like LiteBrite but no 4Runner stuff.
What kind of chainsaw? Battery powered?
Plus one on this. 👆🏼 The mix of rigs is what kept me coming back.
It’s a Stihl but I have also used a dewalt. Battery powered , 12 in blade ... 140
Thanks!! Having a mix of rigs makes it more fun!
Me next me next!!
Let's do it!!!
Dang!
How’s the TJM snorkel holding up and functioning? Love the design.
No issues so far.
I'm really interested on how Robert managed to have the Roofnest RTT mounted on the Rhino Rack with the Pioneer Platform delete. 🙏 👍🇨🇦
I simply removed the platform, marked the holes in the base of the Falcon and drilled them out. It was really pretty simple. The base of the tent has a pretty thick floor and is holding up very well, I did use fender washers to distribute the stress of the bolts.
Literally searched the comments to find this same question! I have a the same rhino rack and I was like wait…. How’d he do that! Nice build
How much you spend at the end?
Just velcro holding the chainsaw? I've been looking for a way to mount mine on the panels as well.
I have a small metal "shelf" with a small lip under it then Velcro straps to secure it to the side.
Great setup on 4runner! Do happen to know what the lift at rear is and if it has KDSS system?
I will ask.
Fox 2.0 race series shocks with OME 800lb constant load
No kdss
Would it be possible to get more information on how he mounted the RTT directly to the Rhino backbone without the platform? That sounds like a great solution to have a lower profile.
I will ask.
@@OzarkOverlandAdventures thanks!
I simply removed the pioneer platform and placed the tent directly on the backbone mounts. I marked the holes, took off the tent, opened it up and drilled new holes. I left some bolts in the old holes to cover them up.
Hey @@robertwicker196 , thanks for the explanation! Love the low profile. Just to clarify, you drilled holes directly in the bottom of the tent body correct? And you’re not connecting to the two t-slot channels that come mounted on the tent, running parallel to the truck body, correct? Thanks!
@@mdtwyne That is correct. The bottom of the tent is pretty thick, but i did add fender washers to help spread the forces.
👍👍👍👍
What tire was on it in Moab? Such good grip
BFG KM3s
I was running BFG KM# 285/75/17's basically 34's
I’m here just to see the IFS struggle 🤷♂️😂
HAHAHAHAHA
What roof rack is your friend running on that 4Runner
I had the Rhino Rack Pioneer platform with the backbone mounting brackets, but I removed the platform and mounted the Roofnest Falcon directly to the backbone system.
Can you talk about insurance? With all those modifications that cost $$$$. Did you have to buy extra insurance or let you insurance company know about modifications. If you get in a wreck is the vehicle covered 100%?
Out West we just call it camping......
Cool. Doesn’t matter to me what you call it....
Do you ever run events for viewers? I'd love to come out wheeling with you guys, although maybe not super tough stuff, but just normal lol
That’s a good idea and one I’m thinking about doing. It’s hard with limited group sizes.
This is auto showroom video ,?
Could be. Do you want to buy it?
Why do you guys bring so much stuff seams overkill
Which stuff seems excessive to you? I'm genuinely curious.
The four runner isn’t bad I’ve seen better
😂😂😂
HA
@@robertwicker196 Any regrets on the Dobinsons drawers? After living with my DIY shelf w bins, I'm thinking about adding those to my wish list. Once I saw the Dometic slide was $300, I thought $1,200+ might not be so bad!
It sounded like you still have your factory rear lockers? Do you lose A-Trac if you swap out to 4.88s?
@@TerryGrayTX I believe ATRAC being electronic it just controls the braking
