I grew up in Saudi Arabia so we got all of the cool Japanese Alpine stuff. in 94 I purchased a double din Alpine and brought it back to the US and with the local audio shop we fiberglassed the unit into my center console in my 91 OBS. That was my pride and joy for a few years until my truck was broken into and my system was stolen in college. Fast forward to 2023 and I have another OBS with a system and I am currently piecing together a SQ system for my daily driver...... once addicted......always addicted......

I think your time line is off a bit. Liked the video but maybe some more research. Here in the Midwest we were late with the CD they skipped too much. Started professional mobile audio after the Air Force in 94. I realized I couldn't afford home audio and liked cars.

we all know that the best one so far is C10 1964, because the make to sale in Barret Jackson with 188k price tag...but for me let say if I have ton of money, I rather to pick 1963 model with short bed and straight panel....ofcuz it not gonna look like Havard student...but it's looks God!....make sense?.... between 63-64 model both not using HCP metal sheet, both easy get rust...they start to using HCP metal sheet only in late 73 model....their metal sheet pretty same like what Hyundai used now in snow country, really hard to get rust but it look ugly, 100% bulky brick design.

Grew up around these trucks. I have a 91 GMC C1500 stepside single cab. Color matched grille/handles/smooth front bumper/roll pan, 454 SS mirrors, graphite gray paint, black wheels, hitch, cat and egr delete, flowmaster 40, electric fan, freshly rebuilt trans ($2900 with paperwork) with shift kit, 2400 stall. I'll probably sell it. Love the truck and built it from stock but I never drive it anymore, just sits in my driveway since I have kids now and a single cab truck isn't practical.

Looking back and counting back, I've owned 14 GMT400/GMT415 trucks in just about every configuration. Currently I still own two GMT400's. A 1999 C2500 standard cab long bed and 1995 C3500 standard cab long bed Dually, and there will always be a GMT400 in my collection. I have THAT much of a love for this body style. In the early 2000's I ventured into the sport truck realm with a 1988 standard cab step side that I slammed, blacked out and turned into a tribute SS. It won best in show at a number of truck shows and car shows. So many fond memories of ALL of the GMT400's both past and present. I'm still quite active on a number of truck forums and groups. These trucks have gone WAY up in values as of late, but I'm not letting go of them. Thanks for this trip down memory lane guys! Zip~
