This channel feels original in the sea of CZcams VPN advertisements, Manscaping products, empty daily vlogs, and screen protector ads. It's actual hands-on automotive content not advertising the newest fad. Skill at work, a discernible skill with results vs running a clickbait marketing machine for money and views. I like it, I wish more would stay like this or go back to this type of content.
Seriously. I'd love if there were similar artisan CZcamsrs working on Audis, Mercedes, or Porsches with half the level of detail or humor.

Liqui moly as a sponsor is not that bad because that stuff actually goes in the car he is working on. But all thr sponsors that have zero to do with the cars feels so desperate and cheap to me. Next episode: Sreten consults an engineering firm and gets a dipstick retrofitted…….
Sorry I'm booked for the next few weeks with Eunos Cosmo stuff. But I already made a dipstick retrofit for E38 transmissions... :D
🤣😂🤣
Does TUV allow a conversion to manual transmission? It's fun watching you make sarcastic comments while wrenching, and then putting the car thru it's paces ON THE AUTOBAHN
I had my BMW dealer do mine, they did so gladly after warning me it would void the warranty (at the time it was a new car) I can reliably report none of its subsequent warranty claims and fiscal outlays were caused by having a dipstick....
@@brucehauser6826 Seriously? You can actually retrofit one?

40:47 Traction control trigger at 280km/h round a corner. Mental!
Yup that was scary.
I noticed that as well, would be interesting to find out if our boy felt anything in the cabin, or was it just a glitch in the matrix.
could've been caused by the bumps. I get the TC light sometimes on speedbumps
Yep it was the bumps. Scary
My 520d triggers it going 20 kmh around a corner 😆😆
Got to admit, no hyperbole there - that sound from a big 4-door saloon, the >>6500 RPM howl, is insane. Thanks for the vicarious thrill.
The moment you realise as a German: not everyone can test their car's topspeed by driving on a well maintained public road.
Our Autobahn is really the envy of the world!
Oh yes, in Poland we can drive 140kmh max. This is so sad.
As a Dutchman, living 15 Km from the German border, I can drive 100 Km/H during the day and 130 Km/H during the night. And speeding ticket prices are INSANE over here! Thankfully Germany is so close to me ... I like Germany for a multitude of reasons, legal Autobahn speeds being only one of them. Schönes Wochenende!
BTW, this Fünfer is the last truly beautiful 5 series in my opinion. Long ago I drove an E32 735i and an E38 730i ... very fond memories.
I hope it stays that way 🙏🏻
You forgot the word "legally" at the end of your sentence! :)

saw that blinking light as well... scared the s**t out of me. Once had this at comparably modest 180 in a curve. Not nice to realize that a bit of electronics just saved my life that I otherwise might have lost

Congratulations on being one of a handful of people on the planet known to have successfully serviced the S85 V10 rod bearings. Too often we hear about these engines self destructing due to this known flaw in the S85's. Even the Car Ninja, Jonny, a very skilled BMW specialist wasn't able to successfully repair JRGO's S85-powered M6. Huge props to getting this car back on the road. I still long for more E32 content, or even some work on the E21 3 series.
Yeah. Jonhny is great but still things didn't went his way. This channel is like no other and having the autoban is just a german thing.
How difficult was it to follow instructions?
It’s a slightly different situation with JR’s M6. That one already had bearing failure, so surfaces were probably already damaged. This one was done preventatively so presumably the crank and rods were still in good shape.
You don’t know what you are talking about... There are quite a few shops that can easily do the rod bearings on the e85 just as long as it hasn't slipped a bearing yet because the owner waited to long to service it
@@chriskeiser5809 in that video they said the crank wasn't damaged. the reason they scrapped the car was because of the vanos pump he said. he also suspected the cam bearings being eaten by all the metal floating around in the engine.
Sreten, I'd even watch a 2 hrs long episode! This serie is addicting!
The M5 looks gorgeous 👌

Yeah same to me. When I sometimes see a Video "barn find, first start", I never click on that. It hurts seeing so much stupidity doing with great cars...

Oh the sound of that sweet V10 piercing the German countryside air. A few hundred years ago the M5 would’ve looked and sounded so futuristic and eerie. Passing by at 300+ kmh would make anyone believe it was something from a different universe. The sound we have grown to love would spook anyone of that era just because of the sheer volume. What a time to be alive.
Used to be stationed in Augsburg, traveled up to Wurzburg from A8 up to A7 - My poor Saturn used to chug at 120MPH\ 190Km, and get its doors constantly blown off by BMWs, Merc-sleds, and the occasional Italian rocket. Loved every moment. Popping out of a tunnel near Crailsheim was a treat.

Ya know, we kind of have an autoban here in SoCal… sometimes people drive at top speed on the i10 between LA and Phoenix or the i15 between LA and Vegas. However, I have never in my life done such a thing. 😏
Zzyzx
the 15 doesn't go thru LA you dummy. Also its not possible to drive at top speed on either highway cause the traffic is always so fucking terrible. Only at night maybe when traffic is low but even then, the 10 freeway is so bumpy and total shit
I think Alex Roy mentioned this road on Vinwiki, he had borrowed a Renntech CL600 and drove pedal to the metal, almost 200mph.
I've used i5 south as an Autobahn in the past ))). Did a nightly top speed run in an e65 back in 07 I think... Also, i80 on the salt flat as you pull in to Utah - perfect for top speed runs, especially early in the morning when it's empty.
@@Arun999 here in Sacramento the speed limit might as well be 95... Even through it says 65. It's almost like people flip that first number in their heads )))
BMW actually made a new sunroof seal for e60 (new parts number). The new seal is a bit thicker than the original one. I changed the seal on my M5 and it made a big difference. Much quieter. Of course, I would rather not have the sunroof.
To add on to this, also make sure the glass is properly adjusted (about 1mm low in the front, 1mm high in the back) and that the seal is lubricated.
I puked when I saw he took advantage of the roof and bullied it next second. For me a BMW without sunroof is no bmw. Absolutely hate those stupid flat roofs.

I'm on my second 535d after the first was rear-ended by an idiot in a rental van... No. Nothing new... there were always two ways... one is the easy be gentle and the other one is the one that is used by motorbike builders and its rather the hard way of checking if it is good. As we can see he knows both ways as he say he is going to take it easy and there you go 300

I traded my E60 M5 because the oil pump that supplies the vanos went bad and the BMW dealer wanted $24,800 to repair the engine. At the time my wife had cancer and there was no way I could afford the repairs, so I took it back to the dealer that I purchased it from, and they were kind enough to help me do a trade. I have regreted that trade ever since because nothing I have or had gave me the same satisfaction. That M5 just pulls like nothing else.
