@@ethnictendo I've literally never known anyone who started dating at ten years old, or at least not like actually dating anyway. The only "dating" that went on back then with my classmates and such was that fake dating where a guy will ask a girl if they can go out, she reluctantly says yes, they hold hands on the playground, and then break up by the end of the week. Personally I've never counted that as dating, especially since most kids who do that sort of thing only get into it because they feel like that's what they should be doing due to the heavy focus on romance in a lot of the media they are exposed to. At ten years old you don't even know the first thing about dating or what a relationship actually entails. Most people don't get into dating for real, not that fake "dating" in elementary school, until around 15 or 16 at the earliest.
The real Santa revealing himself at the end of first SpongeBob special made him completely random but then again, that fits the vibe of SpongeBob perfectly. Also Nick greenlighting that donkey joke was even better. If you wanna see a show that REALLY feels like it should be an Adult Swim show but was marketed as a kids show, go watch Dan Vs. Dan Vs was pitched as an Adult Swim show, but Adult Swim said no. So they went to The Hub and pitched it as the complete opposite of what it was gonna be (as in, they trolled the executives), and it got greenlit.

The only reason Roxanne wasnât in the Christmas special is because her hair was too difficult to animate at the time. They could have just as easily said Roxanne got a hair cut and dyed it. But they didnât. The better question is where is the lady Goofy met In An extremely goofy movie.
Shame the best holiday special of all-time, Grandma Got Run Over by a Reindeer, wasn't featured here. If Cousin Mel and IM Slime singing Grandpa's Gonna Sue the Pants Off of Santa, âšV A M O N O Sâš, isn't peak fiction, I don't know what is. Jokes aside, a favorite special of mine is the Rugrats Hanukkah special. I'm not Jewish, but I know people who are, and I love learning the history of other cultures. Because by learning about other cultures, we further appreciate our planet and all the cultures this planet has to offer. My personal favorite special though is the Peanuts one, I mean it's just plain wholesome and the music pulls the right number of heart strings.

For me 2006-2009 cartoon network holidays were the BEST and the bumpers were it's own genre I loved to watch AND THEY USED TO HAVE "WEDGIES" IN BETWEEN COMMERCIALS THEH WERE THE BEST

One of my largest pet peeves is when people refer to anything stop-motion as âclaymationâ. Not all stop-motion animated films are made with nothing but clay. The stop-motion you see in most Christmas specials is often referred to as âAnimagicâ (coined by the one and only Rankin/Bass) which is a form of stop-motion that uses doll-like puppets and sets made with fabrics, metals, plastics, rubbers, wood, and other materials.
The SpongeBob stop-motion special wouldnât exactly count as claymation, but other pieces of media like the Wallace and Gromit franchise could because nearly everything is animated through clay. There are multiple forms of stop-motion the same way there are multiple kinds of mediums you can use to create a piece of art.

Ducktales is amazing. The lore goes deep. The writing is so so so good! Highly recommend giving it a proper watch.

Damn those movies are way too saccharine for me now but I look back on them fondly. I loved how in the runaway rainbow the protagonist is a baby unicorn ;A; also lily lightly having a light up horn was amazing
Athena rambling about the potential lore of the SpongeBob universe has the same energy as a friend of mine and I watching the Jim Carrey version of The Grinch, and going back and forth about the lore of Whoville and the Grinch himself. Religion in Whoville, what species the Grinch is, etc. Word of advice; don't put two FNAF kids in the same room and let them watch anything with even the *slightest* hints of lore.
A much better Christmas episode of mlp is a Hearths Warming Tail. Its their take on a Christmas Carol with amazing musical numbers.

Does anyone remember the Octonauts Christmas special đđ the one where the entire crew gets sucked into a giant blob of slime and the vegimals have to create an entire vehicle from scratch so that they don't suffocate .... The Flintstones Christmas Carol. Thats gotta be my favorite version of a Christmas Carol. Onsted of inserting the Flintstones into a Dickens world or shoehorning the plot into the Flintstone universe, they're trying to put on a stage play while losing cast and crew to a flu like bug and they show the production side of the play. Its a lot of chaos thats just put together beautifully.

As a big fan of SpongeBob, I can explain the reason why SpongeBob doesnât have a bowl of water on his head while in Sandyâs dome. In the episode where Sandy is hibernating and SpongeBob and Patrick do the iconic âNo, Iâm Dirty Dan!â, they say they donât need the bowls because itâs snowing!

As someone who grew up only watching g3 my little pony, I adore anything from g3. I have so much nostalgia for that generation. I still have toys from when I was little, as well as movies and a dsi game. Very cool to see someone talk about g3 so many years later!!

i used to have the DVD of the minty Christmas my little pony! That took me way back.
I was so surprised Mickeyâs Twice Upon a Christmas was on the list and not the first one!! Maybe next year if you do a follow up you can check it out. Thereâs only 3 stories and theyâre overall a lot better.

Minty and Martha are voiced by the same person, Tabitha St. Germaine :) Tabitha voices a handful of g4 MLP characters as well (I only remember her voicing Rarity, but there are definitely more)
Also, Iâve never seen Mickeyâs Twice Upon A Christmas, but has anyone seen the other Mickey Mouse Christmas short compilation thing? I canât remember what itâs called, but one of the shorts had Mickey selling his harmonica to buy Minnie a charm for her bracelet (something like that?) and Minnie sold the bracelet to get him a harmonica case. I think it was part of three different cartoons, and the first one was like, donald's nephews being stuck on a time loop because they wished that it would be christmas everyday, and there was another one with max feeling ashamed of celebrating christmas because pete mocked him, and then there was the harmonica one- something along these lines

I'm glad we agree that Christmas Maximus was the best part of Twice Upon a Christmas. That movie was such a pain for me to sit through except for that one short. Also, Mona and Roxanne are basically the same character. They originally intended to use Roxanne but couldn't figure out how to animate her long red hair, so they created Mona.

Sofia the First: Winter's Gift. The ONE time Sofia overhears Cedric it's him bitching about how he hates the gifts he gets, specifically her gifts. So why does that feel like that was the most evil thing he ever did. That whole show is "Oh my heart!"
Hereâs something about SpongeBob. Say what you want about the seasons, the movies, the decline, the pre-movie, post movie, modern era etc. but the one thing you canât deny is that itâs probably the most consistent cartoon when it comes to Christmas specials. All three of the SpongeBob Christmas specials have been really solid, two of which remain timeless classics and top tier SpongeBob episodes.
That present in the regular show Christmas special had parallels with that evil ring from lord of the rings. Both were decided to be destroyed by the group with one member going âThen letâs destroy it alreadyâ and attempting to do so with a two handed hammer. Itâs then revealed that the item can only be destroyed by a certain volcano, resulting in a protagonists traveling to the volcano to destroy the artifact by throwing it in the lava.
I love A Very Minty Christmas, Twinkle Wish Adventure, and especially Good Luck Charlie, Itâs Christmas!

You bring up good points about Hearth's Warming Club and I'm now realising the episode's flaws. I still love it regardless because it was when I finally started warming up to the Young 6 as characters - especially Gallus - but yeah Twilight keeping the students locked in the school for the holidays is ridiculous, can't believe I never even thought about how stupid that was considering I've seen the episode like 50 times
I remember watching Legend of Frosty and I found it good. Childhood memories unlocked.
