The Handcannon in the original RE4 is perfectly accurate, I feel that’s insanely fun as you can easily pop heads and deal insane amounts of damage to bosses making it (not to mention it’s free too, not counting the upgrades of course) an clear contender for SS rank
I loved the fact you could actually blow doors off their hinges with it.

@@jimlast4422 my favorite thing to do in the beginning of the game with a fully upgraded Handcannon is trigger the shotgun house cutscene, and afterwards shoot the door in the right spot and kill Dr. Salvador

I'd put Ashley's armor in A tier at most because of how irritating it is to listen to *clunk* sounds after just few minutes of playing with it on.
not sure who all knows this and they don't make any desire to point it out to players but with Leon and I think Ada as well in RE4R, any sunglasses while worn, will allow a flash grenade to go off without stunning the player.
Biggest flex growing up was getting the handcannon in Resident Evil 4 haha

I JUST discovered there were survivors you could save for huge amounts of cash. I got the unlimited ammo in less than a week. I felt real stupid. 😂

Chicago Typewriter in RE4 was technically more powerful and definitely more accurate to where you are aiming than its Chicago Sweeper counterpart in RE4R. The gun was all over the place (I guess that is why it was called sweeper) and the bullets while close to having same damage output, was a bit less than original.
The Chicago Typewriter did 10.0 damage per shot while the Chicago sweeper did 2.50 per shot.
This was a pretty cool and fun video. For me, shooting any weapon with infinite ammo makes the game so much more fun, especially when it's a machine gun like the MP5. I will say, I didn't know that the rocket pistol in RE8 was based on a real gun. I thought it was something that Capcom came up with for the game. It wasn't until I saw a video from Demolition Ranch later on that I eventually learned that it was based on a real gun.I will also say, after hearing Kai talk about doing another video like this but ranking the best unlockable costumes, I so now want to see that video too, cause Resident Evil also has lots of fun unlockable costumes.

Any infinte rocket launcher to me go to the "fun sucker" group alongside the PRL. That's why RE5 is the best implementation of infinite ammo in the entire series.
BTW, you can get crosshairs for Sheva's bow on the PC version if you don't use the laser for aiming

I personally love the hot dogger knife from RE3 Remake. It looks cool. Fast. Does good damage. Just love that the dev made extra efforts to make the glowing and smoke effect on the knife.
The 93r from RE5 is a beast. either highest or second highest damage for a pistol and rapid fire that lets one character basically skip using an assault rifle... granted, it's in a game where pistols are _HUGELY_ buffed compared to normal RE games, but still.
with infinite ammo (which you'll likely unlock at basically the same time) it's very nearly the only weapon you need to beat the game.
The Hydra is in the same situation. HUGELY overpowered. It's capable of being effective at distances similar to the rifles just due to the huge and dense spread. it basically oneshots anything that isn't a boss and stumbles most miniboss enemies.

Nice unlockable list gotta love the armour for Ashley especially since it is essentially NEEDED due to how she is and i have to make a correction about the Matilda in Resi 4 it doesn't have infinite ammo but rather BURNS through ammo rather quickly in fact The Merchant himself mentions that
The best infinite weapons are the ones with regular damage. Fun blasting while still keeping some degree of challenge.
Edit: speaking about the sound, that's why assault rifles are superior

I feel like all the Resident Evil should have unlockable full infinate ammo that can be turned on and off. I hate how 2 and 3 remake only had it for a few guns.
5 & 6 implemented the feature the best. Infinte base mp5 on pro difficulty is the most fun experience I had in 5

Magnum and Handgun are my favorite categories of RE weapons, so they become my go-to weapons since in real world perspects, carrying 2 pisols is much easier than with most other categories in the franchise's weaponry

I really like the shotgun in 0 because it is an over-under shotgun and you rarely see these in games even if they have two barreled shotguns xD
My favorite is the infinite Colt Python in RE: Director's Cut.
I love all the exaggerated weapons in RE. Especially the rocket launcher. Unfortunately, I don't play RE very well, so infinite ammo or the easy level saves me the fun of the game xD

So you weren't too familiar with weapons at younger age i guess, cause the MP5 is the weapon used by HUNK and Alpha squad in Re2 classic, at least in the cutscene.

here's an idea : rank all re outbreak unlockables.
For me the perfect combo for a regular, non-OP playthrough would be the Doom II Super Shotgun + the modified Pistol from RE0. I just love how quickly it shoots. I also like the Hunting Rifle in RE0, but like the Albert in RE7 the low ammo capacity gets old pretty quickly.
Other than that, who doesn't enjoy a good Magnum, preferably the L.Hawk from RE5.

In Revelations 2 Moira’s Katana is the best weapon in the game as it just one shots enemies but it could be seen in a similar vain to the PLR as a fun sucker since all enemies just instantly die to it.

It's the C.Hand gun in RE2 for ps1 for me. Top SSSS tier.
Hot Dogger is actually REALLY useful for making sure zombies don’t come back up, especially on harder difficulties such as Inferno, also good on the Regenerating Zombies because fire damage keeps them down.

Ashley’s armor is the BEST no argument (I also met lady d at a convention lol)
I actually enjoy the TMP with stock rather than the Chicago Typewriter. One or two shots of the CT and your average enemy is done. With the TMP, I get to riddle baddies with bullets which feels more satisfying.
Glad cat ears was brought to the remake. In the original I had to use cheat engine to do infinite base damage tmp run

I did the same damn thing with making my characters run with a handgun because I liked it better for cutscenes, too.
That thingy there was RE8s ligthsaber is very usedull,powerful and very fun to use but a nigthmare to unlock,its the same way as re4 remake leon rpd suit but kinda easier if you have the winters expansion
Crossbow was for revelations 2, and its not good, infinite ammo, but as weak as the makarov pistol from memory with a relatively slow reload, i never bothered with it cos it lowered your rank for 300 damage and a 1 second reload. my pistol was doing about 280 damage with a mag of 12 rounds, seemed a better choice

Crossbow in CVX was not bad. The gun itself could hold like 200 plus bolts plus the bolt ammo in 1 slot could hold like about the same amount. It would take many shots but it was a good weapon to have if you wanna save other ammo.
Give RE0 a try with the item box mod.
Did the training Manuel for re3r dirty, that is almost a necessity for the final boss on inferno if you wanted to complete it with your sanity intact

I find any unlock that makes the game easier to be so boring. Since the games are very balanced and aren't meant to be too difficult anyway, just *tense*.
that is why I only use the infinite weapons after beating a Resident Evil game 2 or 3 times and/or on the Highest Difficulty...just to go Back and Literally Destroy Everything that gave me a Hard Time Before😆😁
100% same - i just unlock all of them and then refuse to use them because most of them are kinda boring. I had a couple of times where I tried to do a run with infinite weapons in multiple games, but I get really bored a couple of minutes in. It really feels like playing the game with your brain turned off. It doesn't really engage me personally. I much rather replay games without the bonus weapons to just put my skill and knowledge to the test to see if I would do better each time.

I agree but when you’re playing on the hardest difficulty mode like, madhouse- re7, inferno - re3 and professional- re4 where it’s almost unfairly difficult the bonus weapons kinda bring back the balance to some extent
For me the Wolf Tail has served me quite well when I get enemys all set up like bowling pins.
Btw don't worry about not platniuming RE7 personally I do love the characters alot but I hate how you can't skip cutscenes so if I f up some parts im punished to watch a bunch of cutscenes etc I can't skip but I can skip in even the origin era RE games and it just drives me freaking nuts.

OG Handcannon wasn't as innacurate, with the laser pointer you could hit anything, it had a bit of sway, but nothing as bad as the remake's HC
also, the PRL is so overpowered that it's the only gun that made me say it's too much and makes the game boring
The crossbow was at its best in CVX. It was actually useful and saved me many times. Aside from the explosive bolts (BOW Gas grenades + 12 explosive bolts = dead airplane tyrant, FYI), they DUMP regular ammo on you. This is particularly useful in the second half of the game when ammo starts becoming scarce and you need a fallback weapon. The knife is great in CV, but not everything is a close-quarters type of situation.
I also heard Chris fires the bowgun a lot faster than Claire, which I find funny since Claire finds it and I feel it fits her more since she usually gets non standard weapons and guns, like the Spark Shot and grenade launcher.
Unlockables is one of the areas of this game I seem to always be disappointed about in some way cause there's always something that I'm like "how could you not have thought to put THIS in?" Particularly im thinking of outfits. Like in re2 remake I thought it would have been a really cool full circle moment to give Leon his re4 outfit. Cause its being remade in a style that originated with re4 and re4 had his rpd outfit unlockable, so it would have been so cool. Otherwise re2 remake is actually one of the best games for outfits but I just have that nitpick about how bad I wanted that full circle moment. And if they hadn't added the rpd outfit to 4 remake later I would still be throwing my fit about that it was my favorite outfit to use in the original game. But then in other areas of re4 I was pretty disappointed with the deluxe edition outfits. Not unlockables but still. There was like 2 out of them I would ever actually use. And then in something like re6 it's possible to unlock the classic PS1 models, but for Leon he doesn't have his default load out of handgun and shotgun he has a whole assault rifle and stuff like the pirate outfit which is another thing to not even get me started on with that pirate thing and the other alternates that game has. It's like even when they get it super right there's a big nitpick that puts a stain on it. I don't think I've ever been thoroughly satisfied with outfit options in resident evil there's always SOMETHING either missing or not quite the way I want it to be. And how have we still not gotten a dante outfit for Leon in a resident evil game or vise versa? That's probably the only slightly goofy one I would really be into cause at least it's an inside joke with the series not just "let's stick Leon in a pirate outfit lolololol"
Anyway that's my rant about resident evil outfit options I could have made it longer if I really went in depth.
Colt Python from original RE Director's Cut definitely goes in SS tier. You unlock it by finishing the game in arranged mode.

only 1 thing i completely disagree with, the typewriter placings for re4r and rev2, in re4r its alot more balance sure you can get inf ammo but its alot weaker, and in rev2 it just sucks its not very strong and it fires way too fast so it can be too hard to control, also the reason the gyrojet was weak (the rocket pistol) is because its not explosive its a rocket powered bullet its a real gun XD so it just stuns enemies, and the thing you thought was the laser thing chris used i believe is actually the lightsaber

IMHO- Till this day, nothing beats the P.R.L. 412. *chefs kiss* God Tier. Lmao god i loved that mf. Runner up, having the inf magnum at the beginning on the original RE for the PlayStation. 🥲 Those head pops were so satisfying running through the mansion halls on a new playthrough. 😅❤

The linear launcher in DC is not that good like in the og game, yeah you can blow anyone with that shot but the waiting omg, you need to wait like 1 min. each one shot, yeah 1 min maybe nothing of course but believe me it feels eternity when you’re in game.
It’s not that good like in og CV where you can shoot whatever you like.
Sad nothing was F tier. A tier list should always have a best and worst.
