Resident Evil has such a weird allure. It's one of the few franchises I just want to learn everything I can about, and I'm not really sure why.
Agreed. I love Canon in games...especially when the games are great, but RE especially, I just must know every tidbit, no matter how irrelevant.
Bout tree fiddy
Same, and metal gear for me too
Sera por Jill
Resident Evil and Fallout. I know more lore from these two game franchises than I do about real life 😅😂
To be fair to Leon’s terrible driving, he was put in dangerous situations either having to fight something off at the same time, or was put in a bad situation (Ada ditching him in the boat that forced him to suddenly take the steering wheel). I think anyone would crash in those situations. Though I do agree that the motorcycle fight scene in the movie resulted in unnecessary innocent civilian deaths.
Agreed, like how would you react when a Zombie flings at you from the back, or falls onto the windshield or trying to help your partner from being killed in the same rescue chopper or having autopilot destroyed and have to try and land a airliner manually.
in OG RE2 Leon drove into Raccoon in his jeep just fine no crashing, same in RE2 Remake when he stole the squad Car he did not crash it but zombies and other crazy B.O.W.s probably do not help lol still fun to make fun of his driving skills though.
well with the bike chase in Vendetta, it was better than being killed by Leon than Biologically mutant zombie dogs and by that time Arias had already messed up New York, Leon did not have time to really assess the situation on the highway, i am sure he did not like getting civilians hurt and killed but it is better that was just couple of vehicles than an entire city
Chris likely did not like doing it either he ended up killing civilians with his actions throughout Vendetta, and think about how he felt when B.S.A.A does the Umbrella thing in RE7 and covers the incident in Louisiana Up and then goes to Employ Tyrants in Village.
so Leon killing a few Civilians on the Highway is better than what Arias was doing, yes Leon unintentionally killed them but at same time saved them from a fate worse than death but i do agree still that it was unnecessary
Everyone forgets him getting that Crown Vic absolutely sideways and correcting it perfectly
it's a joke mate
My boi Leon is not at fault :]
Its important to note the reason why the characters all have their blood types listed. In Japan they believe that your blood type dictates your personality. Kind of interesting With Leon having a type A blood. People with A blood type are sensitive, cooperative, emotional, passionate and clever. They are very patient, loyal and love peace and thus do not like to get into a fight with anyone. But sometimes these people become overly sensitive. Kind of fits with Leons attitude in the games imo.
I think these details are intentional.
The whole head kicking off thing at 21:05 I always thought that since they are zombies they are decaying so taking off their body parts would be easier.
Yeah I'm pretty sure that is meant to be the case
same
Makes total sense.
Doesn't make sense if they only were dead for a day or 2
@@Liquefaction the los pluges generally burst out of the head. Probably weaking the neck and head enough to be kick off or blast off by a gun.
No, Leon is an amazing driver, he always comes alive from those crashes.
Him and Joseph Joestar would be great friends.
Hey any landing you can walk away from, right
Any landing you can walk away from is a good landing.
Nah, he is a bad driver but a great crasher
I call Leon, Launchpad MCquack 😂
Rip Paul...you were a brilliant voice actor perfect for Leon in any game if you were given the chance
"Having a dead tiger is highli illegal" my man has a dead chick on the table...
Humans are not endangered... :p
Not illegal if the law ceases to exist due to a zombie apocalypse. Lmao.
Technically she's still alive once she turns into a zombie🤣
@@markmercado89 Can a Taxidermied corpse become a Zombie?
@@jacksonrathbone2481 It's a joke.Chill out smart guy!! So I guess shootin bosses in the head wit 100's of bullets & rocket launchers, etc. that should leave them dead but they(Nemesis,Wesker, etc.) still keep comin back makes sense tho!?🤣🤦🏿♂️
Another reason to play RE2 Remake with headphones is that you will notice a lot of music you didn't even know existed. The way the new soundtrack is woven in with the complex sound design was exceptionally well done.
Yeah, I actually noticed this the other day 😀
"Claire is able to casually kick zombies heads off"
Oh yeah? With a high roundhouse, Leon can make a Plaga enhanced Ganado's head explode
So take that Claire
Poor Claire. She just vanished from the series after res 4.
By realistic standards, if a man can chunk a zombie's head, it's still impressive for a woman to decapitate one 😂
14:30
I used to pretend that this door led to a massive row of bathrooms. All the coco-soda machines and nowhere to release them. And Burger king missed a golden opportunity to release a Raccoon Burger combo to capitalize on the game’s success. A green BOW bun, extra “bloody” ketchup, red and green “herb” lettuce, a collectible RE2 pocket strategy guide broken up into 10-20 booklets you can collect with enough combo purchases, and “Brought to you by Umbrella Incorporated” printed on the wrapper, the fry box, and the soda cup.
Jill: master of unlocking
Ada: master of secret agenting in a dress
Chris: master of boulder punching
Clair: master of breaking out of prison
Leon: Master of Crashing (aka Happy Landings)
I will never forget that number 21 Leon walk. Now that's a worthy pre order bonus.
the whole kicking the head off thing can be attributed to necrosis. as part of the infection they undergo heavy necrosis so its quite possible depending on how much deterioration there is
Yeah, I've seen arms fall off zombies and stick to Leon and Claire when they get attacked
I liked your bit on audio, so true, a room can be filled with all kinds of noises from music, gunshots, creatures etc but you can still hear a zombies soft foot steps shuffling from behind. Enhances the survival horror theme & experience so well.
At 4:25 the knife can’t be thrown the way Leon does it ( instinctive/no spin throwing) not because it’s unbalanced or do not have an aerodynamic shape but because the it has an handguard in the back. That would prevent Leon to exerce pressure on the knife (usually with the index) to slow the rotation ( quarter rotation) of the knife.
Shout out to those players who were finding these before you could Google them secrets and Easter 🥚 s. Man it took hours to solve these puzzles watching my friends try and we'd watch and try everything just to find something new. Great work! Hit me right in the feels
Kevin is my favorite character from outbreak. I can definitely SEE Kevin being cool friends with Leon
I always hoped he would turn up in a later game.
@@lazydaze3134 Same here, he'd fit right in.
Both of them have that gung ho attitude.
10:59 Lost opportunity for Capcom to team up with Pepsi and say "fuck you" back at Coke.
I really liked Leon in the games. I wished they would of done better with his live action role.
yeah... in the jovovich movies Leon was lame and scruffy and I watched a non jovovich movie where Leon has curly hair. they can't get him right lol
Which one? They're both rubbish.
Welcome to raccoon city's Leon is an absolute joke..I never expect much from a movie that's adapted from a game but I actually got offended by what they did to his character. Looked nothing like him at all and was so moronic I couldn't even believe this character was an actual human being. Genuinely the dumbest person I've witnessed in any movie and they had him the butt of every joke. Whoever made that film shouldn't be let anywhere near another movie
@@himynameis3664 Whoever wrote that movie hated Leon. They turned one of the most beloved badass characters in the franchise into a sniveling mommas boy. I literally turned the movie off halfway through. I did force myself to finish it days later just to see how bad they massacred my boy. What a complete joke that entire movie was.
@@lazydaze3134 Right??!! It was the perfect opportunity to pay proper homage to a beloved videogame and character that had already been bastardised on the big screen...But they just had to try slam 2 games worth of story (which is a lot of story in that world) into 1 film.
I don't wanna talk too much on Leon cos I genuinely get angry. All I'll say is they got an actor that would've been better off playing Carlos and made him act like a fucking 12 year old with learning disabilities.
Sorry for the rant but I love these games so much and all I've wanted since the 1st movies came out was a somewhat faithful adaption. A series or anything that stuck to the core script....keep hoping I guess.
Hunters first officially appeared in RE1. It follows you back to the mansion when you return from the cabin, and replaces all subsequent zombies.
He's talking about the particular type of Hunter.
@@mccarthy5825 Which was clarified in a separate video. But if you watch THIS VIDEO he says "Hunters didnt appear until Outbreak...". Dont make a big deal out of it.😐
I remember the breeze way in re1 had the first hunter you encountered if I remembered it right
@@southsider9638 I, for one, didn't need to watch a separate video to get his point clearly.
@@KeybladeMasterAndy good for you.
That helicopter would have been unbelievably difficult to keep in the air and its amazing he kept it up for so long. That was amazing driving. He also drives his bikes incredibly well even when he does launch them
Claire must continue the Redfield bloodline.
It's raining, I got weed, and hour long ink ribbon video, hit it
puff puff pass
@@disliked1390 lmfao same, even the rain too XD
Leon is a terrible driver, finally someone addressed that hahahaha 😂😂😂👍
I shouldn't have laughed about Leon crashing everything, since I do it all of the time in games.......
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
I would argue that most of the crashes were most definitely not Leons fault
At 1:03 and 17:02 there is a duplicate fact, as well as 1:51 and 19:50, and 21:33 with 27:10, and 13:10 with 29:25, and 14:32 with 31:40, and 15:39 with 32:06, and 7:01 with 45:54, and 10:48 wtih 24:11, and 30:42 with 52:36. Still, awesome video!
If it’s not apparent, Kai is editing his “50 facts” videos together, so there’s going to be some repeats
Because of how you can crush zombie's head by foot in RE games, I always assume that T-virus somehow make your skull fragile, just that the jaw bone is still strong.
Leon only showed interest with Ada..
Hunnigan: Am I a joke to you?
Dude the light and the door that Sherry goes under 😱😱😱 i never knew that's what it was. it has bugged me for 14 years. Good stuff man
Ah haaa.. took me like my 28th playthrough to figure it out...
Thank you for putting so much hard work into all these videos, it’s so easy to tell how much you care about the resident evil series and it’s so enjoyable to learn these facts from you my fiancée and I both enjoy your channel :)
49:03 that's fucking hilarious "she can't be a woman, she's smart" holy shit
35:53 you can literally control this by HOLDING the action button instead of tapping it to climb with Sherry. She will never misclimb.
Loving these compilations, thanks as always for a spicy info, hard work, and passion for all thing residentially malicious.
I always felt like shooting the screen was a reference to the at the time popular light-gun arcade games; like Virtua Cop, Area 51, etc. Mainly because a similar effect was often used to indicate the player taking damage.
in the remake, Carlos can examine a camera in the dark room wishing he could kill zombies with just a camera
i think its a reference to Fatal Frame series where the protagonists uses a camera called Obscura to defeat ghosts throughout the game
I remember a golf game on PC back around the same time, mid-late 90s where if the ball is hit JUST right it would hit the screen and break it, very similarly to RE2. Also I think the handgun will do it too, but its harder to do. Easiest place for me to do it was the hallway right next to the helicopter. Its a top down angle and you can aim up and hit it, if I remember correctly.
"Leon graduated the police academy at the top of his class" - Did that happen before or after he shot his partner in the ass? What a golden movie lmao
The 2 revelations games are so underrated. Loved both of em.
25/50 facts about James Marcus
25/50 facts on Umbrella Corporation
I was just about to sleep, now I can fall asleep listening to Kai’s gentle voice. I’ll definitely be watching this again in the morning ☺️
Edit:TYSM for all the likes 🫶🏻
Goodnight:)
It's afternoon here in the Philippines and I'm about to do my siesta time
I do the same thing!
I'm so drunk and bored, I'm actually listening to this. BTW, do you think Leon is hung like a horse?
I felt the same way… i was about to goto sleep and thought.. well lemme just open youtube real quick.. MAYBE theres a short video i can watch to kill a few minutes… nope. Its 5:17am and i guess i’ll be up for another hour and 5 minutes 🤣😅😅
"He's great on a jet ski though."
Not in my game he wasn't!!
I never knew you can sneak around mr x !!! I just assume he just walks slower when not in the same room and always tracking you.
When Leon shoots the screen.. at around the 15 minute mark, it kinda reminds me of the opening to DMC3 right after the explicit gore and flashing lights warning then dante shoots the screen and says "sweet dreams"
A nice combo video on all the things that are in Resident Evil 2, from all of the characters, locations, secrets, all of the events that happen, a real cool video you made Ink Ribbon ✌️
1:04:20 The fast moving vehicle plus the weird unexplainable inventory dog thing perfectly describes the dreams i have
46:29 Ada's breakdance
Yea I was laughing
That was awesomely in-depth, phenomenal job! Talk about a treasure trove of awesomeness! I also remember many moons ago I don't know who wrote the books but someone wrote books about the grisly deaths of everyone who survived the outbreak, weskers original death was brutal and Leon's death, my goodness that was graphic, turns out a brutal fate is in store for any would be survivor, if only I could find those books again! but I get the feeling they weren't canon tho, watching what you've uncovered makes me remember so many Resi memories
Recently i was at a garage book sale and found a resident evil novelisation of the first game which took..... Creative liberties. It was written by S.D. Perry
@@andie5954 oh S.D Perry! That was his name, enjoy that book and never part with it, I lost mine forever n a half ago, and I'll probably never see it again 😎👍
Leon crashed a bus in RE6 too, just before go to the church.
Leon was not driving that bus it was some other guy
@@BomberDX97 my bad, you are right
@@eb3104 No problem man I actually just recently replayed RE6 so that scene was still pretty fresh in my mind
Leon is such a wonderful character. Def my favourite, I think the anime did him justice although made him depressy, however his pure determination to end all BOWs is a good trait to have, like how old Eren was driven purely on killing the titans
I would've loved to see Kelly Hu play Ada, she would've rocked her personality and voice without needing a wig lol
She always does great work.
Aw yeah, I f'n love D'vorah because of her too! My favorite MK character 🎉
honestly knowing that the re2 remake could've been a fixed perspective game kinda makes me want that version of the game, though i do still enjoy the current version
I've actually replayed both the RE0 and RE1 remasters on steam, and atleast for me, the fixed perspective, aged...horribly. While at first I actually didn't think it'd bother me, but actually did way more than it should of lol.
So he was hungover during Resident Evil 2. What a long night that had to have been lol
Nice late night RE Love. Thanks buddy.
You can’t blame him for crashing the boat ada did kinda screw him dipping out like she did lol
Chronicles was NEVER considered canon. It was ALWAYS treated as a retelling.
you just combined all your resident evil 2 vids together lmao
I work out to your RE Playlists lol
Thanks for being my favorite background noise 🥰
I would say Leon is an unlucky driver, not a bad driver considering his driving skills in Vendetta haha which are way too cool, but I love it!
178cm isn't 5'8 it is 5'10
1:45 Leon also had eyes for Hunnigan
An hour of facts for my favorite game of all time? Yes please.
It's not fair to call Leon a bad driver when every time he's crashed he's been under attack by the undead
No amount of awesomeness can make me play a jump scare game with headphones
So happy to see how much your channel has grown since the last time I visited it.
I honestly would have loved the original voice of the live action Ada in the resident evil movie. She sounded good.
Ah, so THAT explains Leon's walk in that "Leon's 69th Playthrough" video
I remember that commercial too. I can't believe I never realized it was Brad Renfro playing Leon. R.I.P Brad Renfro.
I could have sworn you could shoot at the camera and see bullet holes in RE 1 using the shotgun too. But I don't remember where you could do that in the game...
My kai hour specials loving em
Leon is 5'8.
Short king
1 hour of RE2 facts, and I'm all here for it.
We have many things in common, imagine a 8 years old kid trying to play the game with zero English knowledge
"The only woman he's ever shown any interest in, was Ada Wong."
Hunnigan: "I GUESS I DON'T FUCKING EXIST."
Thank you bro helps me sleep at night a lot better listening to your voice especially about re2
that glitch was bonkers bro. Possessed stripper ada Wong is kinda terrifying tbh.
1 hour of RE2 facts!? Let’s goooooo!
Leon also appeared in mvc3 as a card for hero’s vs heralds
I just finished re1HD and it finally hooked me, this is my first video from your channel and the name of the channel is telling me all i need to know
RE2 is definitely my favorite game of all time. Both the original for the n64 and the remake for my ps5. Amazing story, horrifying enemies, true horror, a endless classic along with the Original RE that started it all
I wondered about the "locked door" in RE2 for literal years! Thank God I'm not crazy 😂🤣
simply hearing the menu bloops unlock my core childhood memories of these games, I'd watch my friend play them because I was too scared to play it myself
FYI, 5’8” is 172 cm, and 5’6” is not 169 cm
great video like always no matter how many videos we see its so much about resident evil we can find out to this day we learn more things we didn't know about these games and characters is mind-blowing lol if only they made the tv show with the real characters and real story from the first game and up they can make the world so big we will always want more just like the games lol I'm hoping someday we get all our favorite characters in one big story like the avengers. I mean why not I dream of a game like that hell 6 was kinda close but if only they had all our characters and make it as one big horror story guys tell me this wouldn't be the best resident evil game ever lol
The door! I used to wonder for ages about what was on the other side, if anything. 24 years later you answered the question. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
One way Irons could have got away with displaying the dead tiger in theory would be claiming it was a display from the museum and not one that he commissioned/made himself
I just wonder, could Claire and Jill never interacting be an on screen thing like it was with Chris and Leon? Could Claire and Jill have met off-screen and have yet to have an on-screen meeting? Like with Leon and Chris, their first on-screen meeting was in RE6, but from the way they interacted it was obvious they had met before then. It could be the case with Jill and Claire.
I feel like Chris's note in RE2 somewhat implies that Jill and Clair know each other
@@BomberDX97 You mean the remake? Because I don't remember any note like that in the original.
@@Daniel100Benner Yes the one in the remake
@@BomberDX97 I downloaded the 2 and 3 remakes from steam, I'll have to play them again sometime and maybe that'll refresh my memory.
Clean video, love the long lengths for when I'm gaming. Papa bless
I always come back to RE and silent hill.
Great stories and game's ♥️
Great and well put together video man! Youve done a couple of them more than once😂 but with all these facts it's understandable
RIP Brad Renfro and Paul Hoddard
Resident Evil has come a mighty long way from yrs back of it's N64 version on n on! This video was fantastic and informative of many point outs unseen B4! I'm forever an re fan!
You mean the originals on ps1 😀
9:51 nah it was linked to her inventory box back home
I can't wait for an hour of re3
Yeah 😂, same here regarding the door with red lights, bothered me for years 😅
If you're looking for easter eggs in the pre-rendered backgrounds of RE2 or 3, look up the RE2/3 RESHDP mods that upscale the pre-rendered backgrounds. Playing through RE2/3 you notice a lot of out of place or funny details in the backgrounds, such as a "Biohazard 4" poster in the RE3 streets for example.
In the RE2 remake, Claire is OBVIOUSLY into him. She lights up like a pinball machine when she sees him and makes googly eyes. Leon is clueless. Takes a dragon-lady to get his attention.
Dragon lady lmao
Leon is an awful driver + .but he's great at surviving crashes apparently lmao
33:55
Jill gotta get that extra mag in before she fights zombies💀💀💀
“Leon graduated from the police academy” …as the only person on the force
