- My 2nd attempt at a range test… this one was kind of an epic fail. I was getting some really bad reception and hit an invisible wall that prevented me from continuing. Most likely because the airport was a few miles away. Anyways… I filmed it so why not share it?

Ive been testing my mini 3 the last few days since ive had it, today I got 5700 meters doing a range test with the standard batteries with 34% battery on return. Could have easily pushed it further but you never know if the wind is going to pick up and have that oh shit moment lol. With the plus battery i can easily see 8000 to 10000, wich is preaty damn cool🤙.
My last range test video I got to 8000 but the signal was the reason I had to turn around.
@@thismetalsky that's not bad at all though imo, prob in a perfect spot you could go a bit further hey?
I think it could easily go 10,000 in a good spot on a non windy day. And that’s what I’d love to accomplish eventually. Probably over water that’d be the easiest due to no power lines…. But it’s also a good way to lose your drone if the battery doesn’t make it back
@@thismetalsky yep losing the drone would suck, I'll prob give it a go here once I get the plus battery myself since ive got an excellent spot to try it. When I do I'll post a vid and of course I'll keep watching your vids aswell👍.
