I totally agree, if the weather was overall better (da’s, humidity & elevation) this car would have run a bit better at least .2-.3 seconds faster 60-130!

It’a faster than what it did here. The weather was ass with the da’s high and humidity elevation and all. For sure it would do 7.5-7.6 60-130

@The Wolf I would love to tune the X6M50. I said this in another comment but I think the 4.4L TTV8 is a great jumping point. Daughter already loves car noises, so DPs wouldn’t be a problem. I don’t know who makes a good reliable tune for it right now though. Any suggestions?

What a monster of an engine
as always, love the details.. Passed on the x3m due to body roll,,, maybe someone here knows of a fix for that without going crazy stiff and hard suspensiion.
Hard to fix a problem that is just from sitting higher up than a sports car. With that said, the X3M is a close to a sport coupé as you can get without getting a sports coupé.
imagine this same mods n tuned on G80 M3 xdrive would be super car killer.

I don’t like hearing the rev hang on every up shift. That’s weird, and definitely a disadvantage. Sounds like the gearbox and motor are mismatched every upshift. Probably has to do with tuning.

@Noble Vigilance It’s a shame that SUVs don’t get as much love as their sports car counterparts, but that’s just the nature of it. I’ve definitely been converted into an sports SUV type of guy for daily drivers. If the X6 wasn’t on lease and there was a good tune out for it, I would’ve done something to it right away. 4.4L TT V8 is a knarly platform.

For the 40-100 and 60-130 times you guys post is that from rolling at the starting speed or is that accelerating through and already WOT by the time you hit the 40 or 60mph start time

dam makes me realise how fast my rs7 c8 stage two is, i run a 60-130 in 7 flat (100-200kph in 5.5) . I also own a stock X3M as my runabout, im so tempted to get it tuned now.

Wow that thing is pulling super hard for an suv, or for anything really. And I gotta say the front end of the new M3/M4 is really growing on me. If you look at it like they just stretched the circular grills that used to be there it looks weird, but if you look at it as one big grill (like an Audi RS or Lexus) with a split it looks better.

Another great vid! Quick question, how are you measuring 60-130 times in general in your vids? From a roll at like 55 or something else?
@Imran Ahmed Thanks! So the best way to test a rolling metric is to start between 5 and 10 miles per hour before your test range. For 60-130s, I like to punch it at 50. It gives forced induced cars enough time to spool. 55 may not yield the best times but maybe more realistic. Make sure you go a little past 130 because the speedometer on most cars are a little slower than actual speed.

I’m getting 7.3 secs 60-130 (dragy) from about 57mph at 82F temps so I’ll definitely test it out more from 50mph and colder temps.
How is the X3M against the F90 M5 comp?

So if I have a 2020 x3m competition. How much would it cost to tune it to 700hp? Also the warranty will be void. So I'll have to own the car? Cant do it on a lease right?
$2k or less and you’re there, depends on the tuner and correct. Will void warranty, would not do this to a lease. Unless you want to then reverse everything you did to turn it back in which would cost to get it back to stock
Definitely an SUV I’d buy if it wasn’t for the fact that paying off my house is a better investment. When I get it, definitely lowering it and getting rid of that CANYON of a wheel gap.

I actually love X4M/X3M more than G80/82s.
I currently own an 2021 X4M competition but unfortunately I can't tune it now because it's ECU locked and most big tuning companies said they can't fix this.

Early year Huracans weren't that fast at all. They're known to be low 8s or high 7s in the 60-130 so in kilometers, doesn't seem too far off.

The Stelvio is no where near X4M in terms of performance, interior, exterior design and quality.
Uhhh performance? Stelvio craps on BMW in chassis dynamics, ride quality and steering. Stock, there literally dead even in speed. 🙄
@Thomas Ferraro Jr. Almost every test and race between stock X4M and Stelvio top version is a slaughter. (from a dig or from a roll) It's the same results. Ride quality and steering are also advantages of X4M. The suspension was specially designed by M power, it's way more aggressive and better handling than M40i. If you say Stelvio handles better than normal X3/4 it's right. But in high performance car market the Alfa Romeo car is a disaster. They never have any successful experience in making an all around competitive car in the market. Look at how few they sell in the global market.

@Thomas Ferraro Jr. You have no idea wat you're talking about... Stelvio was never the fastest SUV. (they self claimed it for like a few weeks) The three year champion is GLC63s in 2018. There's one laptime of Stelvio which is slower than GLC63s and turned out to be a cheating time. FCA loves to cheat at Nurburgring. Despite the cheating they're still slower. X4M never run the Nurburgring. But at sachsenring it's faster than GLC63s and in Sport auto Hockenheim tests it runs 2:00 which is a pretty good time for the segment. You're the one who's fanboying, not me. I'm only looking for facts.

Sorry I wasn't EXACT.. Eventually it got passed by other vehicles including the GLC63s. Things progress. It's still more fun to drive than ANY BMW, Audi or Merc. Sad that you can't just appreciate the machine for what it is. Literally just won the best SUV award 2 times in 3 years from voila you guesses it, a German auto journal called Auto Zeitung.

Maybe it's because I'm from a family of German engineers, but the BMW shit is becoming very boring. The Alfa has much more personality, a very Italian influence. The better thing is not the one you will love, it's the one with the better personality and charm.
