    How is the ride quality over rough roads, these like no suspension travel to absorb, does it still ride good?

    • @talkingmods
      @talkingmods  Před 2 lety +3

      Actually it rode great , I drove it pretty hard with the travel being great, the stock shocks could still absorb, could they be better sure, but these were great. If one was to stay with the stock shock, I'd probably run them for about 50K miles and then look for a beefier shock that would be even absorb more. My one feedback was that it could really benefit from some beefier sway bars and arms, to mellow out the float, that suv's generally have. Again appreciate you watchin!

    Great vid and awesome car. I almost got one but found the M5 in the spec of my dreams and went with that instead. As for this car and the fitment, the rear looks a teeny bit (maybe just 10-15mm) too low compared to the front. A little too much Subie squat for me. Just a thought.

      Appreciate the Feedback Ash :) The spacers I think as I mentioned was really factoring in a full load, literally had a X5M competition today come on - that we had to change things up a bit cause of that extra 3mm, during a full load(all occupants and luggage) had just a tiny rub.

    • @talkingmods

      Yeah the springs were actually way more comfortable then stock, they really work well with the stock shocks, thats what MSS seems to do perfectly get the most out of the stock shocks of the vehicle

    Thanks for the review of the spring mods. But what about the ride? My 2020 X3M Comp rides like an empty dump truck. Brutally stiff even in so-called comfort mode. And yes, it's also "floaty" around corners. Do you have more progressive spring kits that are softer on small bumps but stiffen quickly when pushed? And do you offer stiffer sway bars?
    Finally, why did you do the wheel spacers?

    • @talkingmods
      @talkingmods  Před 2 lety +2

      Hi 1 2, very welcome :)
      So the ride improved, however again I felt it was still floaty yet more sure footed and improved overall, personally didn't find it stiff (but one could always just go for a complete coilover with an adjustable shock for more comfort).
      I think for sure we'll have some sway bars soon in from the manufacturers . I am hoping they release soon because I think it will really improve the handling big time. As to the springs yes we have them and happy to do so. Can contact us here at ModBargains.com 714.582.3330 and we can work on getting you a setup.
      As to why we did spacers, as per your name give you a 1 2 , 1: one for sure is aesthetics (getting the wheel from being sunken in, improves the look dramatically). 2- performance wise , spacers push the wheels away from the chassis, this helps actually reduce some of that body roll, and increase the lateral grip for the tires (so when they have that more even tire load, you can have that better acceleration grip when you come out of a corner and are stepping on it).

    • @k.c.6846
      @k.c.6846 Před 2 lety +1

      I agree about the ride of the X3M, it was stiff enough stock, now lowering it just made it rougher. Love the look of it though, but went with the X5M, just more smoother of a ride. 600hp, 2.5 ton beast does move quickly also, 0-60 in 3.6 sec.

    How does this compare against an eibach kit.

    • @talkingmods
      @talkingmods  Před rokem

      I mean the Eibach kit is not height adjustable, and doesn't come with bump stops, but also this is really a more tuned spring to the shock (personally i think it's no comparison) There is a big price difference of course, Eibach being a lot less, I think Eibach is awesome great company that we sell, but not really an apples to apples comparison unfortunately.

    • @talkingmods
      @talkingmods  Před rokem +1

      Yeah, so floaty as in the suspension doens't feel sure footed or precise, like that boat feel where weight is transferred across the vehicle to easily rather then the shocks being put to work. (this typically happens when it's set to harshly as in to stiff) as others are describing. The MSS really did wonders on the X3M Suspension. Happy to help anyone who wants the MSS Kit for their vehicle.
