After 8 years I still haven't gone to the End in survival, but I can imagine that this would be very useful for farming the ender dragon after killing it the first time! I could also see potential in using the overcharged arrow for some kind of raid farm using pillagers
It would be useful for an ender dragon farm, but proper ender dragon farms just aren't practical enough to be useful, since a player has to manually place down the end crystals required for respawning the dragon, so it would be impossible to afk at. You're much better off just building a guardian or pigman xp farm. It would have potential for a raid farm, but there are much easier ways to kill off a bunch of mobs with relatively low health. You could actually just even use the tnt duper itself, and use the immense explosive damage created by the 240 tnt to kill off the mobs without worrying about an arrow. Where I believe this would really shine instead of being some fun gimmick, is player or mob killing at distances of upwards of 1000 blocks, since it can still kill the wither even at that distance.

The end crystals can be farmed as "unbreakable end crystals". Updating them is easy (?). The only question is whether or not you can farm four unbreakable end crystals at a time

As soon as i saw the space based dragon slayer and nvr4get i was immediately interested on this too but i rlly had a hard time aligning the dupe tnt. Happy that explained a lot

Hey Recursion! I got a question for you! Inspired by this cannon, I designed my very own one that dupes 280 tnt and deals around 550 damage (not hearts, hp) to anything under it (tested with player + absorption effect). The arrow is precisely placed and hits everytime. Withers are one-shot. It shots straight down.
Now my problem is, that whenever I fire the arrow at an enderdragon, the arrow seems to simply bounces off it and not deal any damage. I summoned one and teleported it to the same position under my cannon and it just doesn‘t deal any damage - even though with a normal bow and out of the same angle it does. Do you have any idea what could be the problem here? The cannon works fine but it seems that the enderdragon has a problem in my version. The cannon is built on 1.16.5! Thanks!
Sorry for the late reply, you've probably fixed it by now, but it sounds like some sort of glitch in minecraft itself, I don't think it has anything to do with the railgun.
I assume you are shooting the dragon while its perched. You cannot deal damage to a dragon with an arrow while its perched.

you should use smooth stone in your tutorial. Its easier to count the block.
my brother has a channel, he uses a custom pack, that makes smooth stone blocks have a checkerboard pattern,in a red green pattern, of one material, idk how he did it

As long as it's on java edition, it should. You just need to make sure the arrow will actually hit him in the first place.

Make sure you've built it exactly the way in the video. You could be missing the fire coral fans, for example, which could be causing this issue.

Is this compatible on the latest update of Bedrock Edition. I want to know before I build the entire thing just to learn it doesn't work.
This isn't compatible in any version of Bedrock, unfortunately. I'm unsure if accelerating arrows to great speeds still causes them to deal huge amounts of damage, however I know for a fact that no form of TNT duping works in Bedrock. You can just use dispensers to create a lot of TNT which will have the same effect as the dupers, but you'll need to fill each dispenser individually.

I have made this in Minecraft Education, but I used a tnt based compression mechanism to compress 1152 tnt instead of 240.

No, sorry. Tnt duping mechanics only work in Java.

@@anjunoob3465 I'm fairly sure arrow damage increasing with speed is also a thing in bedrock, however if you're going to build this, first of all build it in a creative world before you try it in survival, and use dispensers instead of the tnt duping mechanisim to drop tnt into the blast chamber.
