However, it was where you had a chest and exploded the chest while rapidly putting an item in and out of the chest. If done successfully you would get a 0 stack item, or as I called it a ghost item. Back in snapshot 20w46a I discovered a bundle dupe that I haven’t seen anywhere online. I tried it on item frames so that’s what I’m going to use as my example. All you have to do is place 3 or more of each item into the crafting bench so it would normally be 3 item frames but if you use a bundle and put one of those item slots into your bundle, it will still have the item frame thing to craft. And if you click the craft button it would duplicate the items in the crafting bench minus one so say you had 10 then u did the glitch you would now have 19. Do that over and over and boom I got over 150,000 sticks on accident.

I remember accidentally discovering a couple dupes on console/bedrock over the years.
Way back, on MC for the Xbox 360, there was a dupe you could do by literally button-mashing to place and pick up an item from the fuel slot of a furnace.
There was also a pretty funny one on Bedrock that worked until a couple years ago abusing moveable block entities. Literally all you had to do was put an item (including shulker boxes) into a chest, push that chest with a piston using a button, and time it perfectly to pick the item out of the chest at the same time as the piston retracted. It took a couple goes to get the timing down, but I was duping stacks upon stacks of whatever I wanted using shulker boxes. Pretty funny.

I remember in Xbox 360 Edition there was a very popular dupe glitch.
It's set up was relatively easy, so you have a friend on your server and place a furnace
Once you place the furnace get your friend to break it
The moment it breaks you want to hold the item (xbox you could hold a button and it would just pick it up and put it down rapidly)
Once the furnace breaks you'll see the floating "Zero" Block and it would give you 1 of whatever you were duping.
Then as you saw just use that 1 block to fill chest continuously

  • @Phiwipuss
    @Phiwipuss Před 2 lety +2

You forgot a nice dupe that I personally love the most. It's really overpowered, easy and still works on some servers. The way you do it is by getting 4 wooden planks (if you want to super multiple times, get a stack or so) and the item you want to dupe. Go on a flat surface and face the ground. Open your inventory and put the wooden planks in the crafting slots as if you were crafting a crafting table. Then drag and drop the item you want to dupe out of your inventory and quickly craft the crafting table. Once you pick the item back up it will be an illegal stack (even for nonstackable items and shulkerboxes). Easy as that. Does only work on multiplayer

The ender pearl dupe works due to the weird way that Minecraft multiplayer worked back then. Every time you joined a server from a Minecraft account, that session was assigned a player data file corresponding to your account. However, each time you joined was a different session. Ender pearls responded in multiplayer by being joined to each session, and moving each session's coordinates based on where it landed.
When you logged out of a server, the chunk you were in unloaded, but with that also the entities, including the ender pearl. That ender pearl is tied to your previous session, and as you reconnect a new session is created. This means that, in accordance with the serverside player data, your inventory drops, but you remain alive as those two sessions which are both you are counted as two seperate instances. You effectively died in one life and remained alive in another, it's a Minecraft quantum death
I remember that servers I played on back around 1.0 did have mild issues with it. I used to have to disconnect often due to lag because my internet was shit (love Australia) and this would lead to me getting kicked for like 6-8 hours at a time sometimes. In one instance a server automatically banned me and I had a rage quit because of it (I was like 10 or 11 after all LOL)

Console Edition used to have a dupe with (idk if it's with a dropper, a dispenser or both) which only works on multiplayer. While one player has the block opened, the other player will break the block and a low durability item would appear. Then, you drop it out and you get anything duped

  • @nighteule

On pre-Bedrock PE, _waaaaaay_ back there was a duping glitch in multiplayer using chests. It took years to patch iirc. You would connect via LAN to another person's world and have two players open a chest, then both players would tap items in the chest simultaneously. Both players would have the item in their inventory.
We used this extensively in my friend group. We found it was more efficient to have one person hold both devices side-by-side, and spam tap on an item, sometimes with one hand. You could have a double-stack of diamonds from just one afterward. XD
It doesn't seem to be well documented, but on the old bug reports one user encountered it in v0.9.2-alpha. I can't find when it was patched, but it may well have been present until Bedrock

My favorite dupe was the bundle glitch that existed for the first few 1.17 snapshots. If you crafted an item, then put one item from the crafting grid into a bundle, the product would still be craftable, and crafting it would multiply the remaining items in the grid like in the "Dupe Button" you showed.

I remember playing Minecraft Pocket Edition and finding a dupe. I would get my brother or my friend to tap a chest at the same time as me, then we would both try to take the items as fast as we could. This usually let both of us get the item. Rinse and repeat and we would have stacks of 64 diamond blocks and nether reactor cores on every survival world

I’m surprised there was no mention of the furnace dupe method (worked on Xbox 360 version, which I heard is just a legacy version of Java).
The way it worked was you would put an item in a furnace, then start mining it with a pickaxe but midway through, switch to your hand to break the furnace. The game would get confused at first and the furnace would still be there for a brief moment (a few seconds). During that time, open the furnace and rapidly place and remove the item from the furnace. If done correctly, you would keep the item in your inventory and a glitched item would drop from the furnace when it breaks. If you walk over the glitched item, it would instantly fill your entire inventory with 64 stacks of the item and would remain on the ground until the 5 minute natural despawn timer ran out or you destroyed it with lava or fire.
This was literally the dupe that allowed me back in the day to make full castles of diamond blocks (obviously to show off my wealth). I don’t quite remember the version the dupe worked on, but I do remember the piston stair elevator was still functional at that time since I had one in my castle

The server ender dupe probably works because of server prediction, when servers connect 2 players the server needs to make predictions as to where you will be for the other players, it takes in current movement and current values to predict where and how things turn out like a second into the future. so if i shoot a bow at another player the delay would cause the arrow to shoot late for the other player due to delay, so the server would predict that and it would happen closer on time for the other player.
