It really hit home for me when she started tearing up while saying, "I don't have a home. we used to have homes... I put things up on the wall, but they have to come back down again...and that's the way the rest of my life is going to be." I'm 24 and have been living that way since I left home when I was 17...and it's no way to live. This sweet lady is 72. 40 years of marriage and he doesn't give a darn about her. Pray for her.

Denial or not, anything he says or does at this point that is anything but taking responsibility for his actions, or lack thereof, is inexcusable. He should truly be ashamed for not even caring about who he’s hurting in the process, namely his ex-wife that he robbed their retirement fund of who now has to scrape by in her 70’s.
I get what you’re saying, I do think something is wrong, but the matter of fact is that he is impacting far more than his own life with the road he’s going down- and he’s screwed his ex-wife out a financially secure future to pursue his own fantasies. Even more of a slap in the face, completely unbeknownst to her, so she didn’t even get a say as to whether she wanted to try and stick around and try to help him when the option to help was still on the table.

My husband also knows though that without me working, I don't have a chance to create a savings etc, and we each have a savings account of our own that money goes into each month for us to use on whatever or continue saving, then our checking for bills and a mutual savings account for life goals. So I have a savings in just my name, that my husband puts money into every month, that has about 50k in it right now just so I feel financially secure

Some people seem to enjoy it. Up until very recently, I had been seeing a doctor who is 94 years old. He still works from home with a few patients, but I found another doctor voluntarily to cut down on the number of people he had coming to him.
