Blitzwing was my favorite triple changer as a kid. I was into airplanes and tanks back then.

6:23, Check out the episode *Secret Weapon: D-5* from 2001's *Robots in Disguise.* It features a D-51 extensively. Fun fact; *RID* is considered part of *G1* in Japan! 🚂
That last color scheme is quite the statement! Had Blitzwing as a kid. Would love to get both OG triple changers on my shelf!

Great review as always I sometimes forget I was born in 83 and i caught reruns & toys later in the 80s but he was my favorite growing up in my mom remember me either him

Cool review. Put me on that list of wanting this figure reissued in animation colors (tone down that purple/magenta/pink accents compared to the e-hobby version). I got the other versions. G1 Astrotrain is a cool figure.

I loved mine second hand like most of my bots no weapons but still sweet sweet train love maybe time for a ko hunt
The only thing I couldn't grasp was his little dinky arms and his massive rifle it's still an awesome figure, and it displays very well

I do suspect that we could get Retro Astrotrain this year or next year. However, I haven't seen any new Retro figures since Soundwave and Blaster. I know there are rumors of Optimus Prime and Bombshell, but I haven't seen any images of these figures yet.

@@80sTransfromersFanhey,George.Astrotrain is my 4th favorite Transformer behind Optimus Prime,Soundwave,Megatron,and number 5 is Devastator.still haven't found the new reissues of Soundwave and Blaster in stores after all these months.does this Blaster actually come with the cassettes like Soundwave?hoping to find at least Soundwave soon.don't know why my stores i go to take so long to stock these.still see Rise of the Beasts toys,for goodness sake.come on
@reggieholder576 I haven't seen them in stores either. And yes, Blaster comes with Steeljaw. They are both still up on Wal-Mart website and I believe it's free shipping. I love Astrotrain, but he doesn't crack my top ten.

Use clear finger nail polish for joints
