wooow! great interview with uncle David Oduru, if you love Anywaa and Gambella please gather here.
let's give appreciation to uncle David Oduru, God bless him.🙏🙏🙏
Such an amazing and well educated gentleman. I enjoyed my time Interviewing him.
Oduru is a Kumam name too
Thank you Mr Kogot P I hope after 5 years we will be like other Luos this is the time to empower us and break the wall of backwardness!
KP.. I'm not joking.. You and the "uncle" literally resemble each other so much.. I'm sure some other follower(s) is(are) going to point it out too.. It must be "very ancient" BLOOD "duplication"..
Erokamano...
😅😅😅 that's interesting.
Exactly....it's like father-son discussion. I love it😘
grandpa Oduru ,he is very knowledgeable.
Here,always following
Thank you. Kindly share with friends and family.
That old man is bright
Well, I was excited about it. He's obviously highly educated.
This Anywaa Jaduong looks like a real Jaluo,he is eloquent in English, his knowledge about our Luo history is also vast.
❤❤❤
The Elder has the real history of the Luo Nation that some us need. Research closely with him coz he seems to be vast. He gives us the real picture of the past.
I will definitely go back to him.
I love this brother 💗 I'm Onencan luo of Northern Uganda, acholi
Apwoyo matek. I will reach every single luo group on the planet.
It's Acoli. The letter H doesn't exist in the Acoli language, contrary to its erroneous use
The unification of Luo people ...one nation one people.
A step at a time. We are getting there sooner. I'm advocating for the luo in the tourism industry to start organising unitification trips. I'll be happy to help with the marketing and facilitation of such trips.
In Uganda Anywar or Anywaa means mockery or taking the mickey in English slang. Nywak is to join in. Anywak is a collective journey or travel. The Acoli of Uganda use the word in a statement when inviting people to eat (bin wa nywak kwedi). I think the Anywaak word came as part of the migration journey if we are to look deeply into semantics.
That could be true. "Nywako" is to join hands in doing something more so in fighting an enemy.
The Luo of Kenya we Nywako means coming together
please we are not anywak but we are anywaa.
@@octhetwin7500 That's fine, my comments changes nothing. I was just trying to make sense of it all. In the end, you are what you are, Luo.
Anywaka in Alur, lets come together
Great content as always, looking forward to part 2!
Thank you. Kindly share widely
You snuck this one in😂❤🎉 im watching it now
Did you like it? Kindly share with your friends and family. I need more luos on board.
Great video... It's good to see this coming together, this rekindling of past and present connections. Next I wanna see LUO supporting LUO - intercountry... That will be very powerful ☺️
Thank you. We're getting there. The luo today are getting more aware of the existence of other luo groups in other parts of the world and that's a great step towards unity and support.
@@KPtravels001 absolutely! And it's so wonderful to see continue with the excellent works please ☺️
It starts slowly, but we will get there.
@@atticusnow131 we will for sure. I'm impressed by the progress I see in the short period I've done this.
@@KPtravels001 An kodi Owada. Wanyalo konyi nade mondo you continue travelling and carrying out This Great Work? For those of us modak loka?
Thanks brother
Any time. For the love of the culture.
It is simply TREMENDOUS KP.. this interview/conversation..
(Unfortunately the sound/audio is a bit low and faint..)
My main particular pick.. is the [mentioned] movement/migration and spread of the Luos/Lwos.. from Egypt.. through Chad.. CAR (Central African Republic).. to Bar el Gazelle.. and on.. and on.. beyond..
You remember I said.. a while back.. that I had learnt that there are Luo Peoples (ethnic groups) in CAR..and yes! Chad now.. (from what this our very respectable Luo Anywaa elder has narrated.. (sorry.. I could not properly get his name because of low audio level)..)
I'm consumed with happiness and excitement.. from these new revelations.. and it's all because of your personal sacrifice.. determination and selflessness..
Erokamano ma ngeny!!! omera.. Apwoyo adada..!!!
Health.. Safety.. Security..
Keep well and going on..
Yes, I was excited to hear the Chad and Central African Republic bit. I'm convinced more than before that there are luo groups in Chad & CAR
His name is David Oduor Ojulu. I'm not sure why the audio isn't great. Maybe I should get two different microphones for the interviews so that the interviewee has a microphone too.
@@KPtravels001
Thank you so much KP..
Having a separate microphone for each interviewee (if at all possible) will hugely improve audio clarity.. particularly where a small group [of 2.. 3..] is involved..
Peter you doing the most luo will one day see this and understand their history
I'm happy to be doing this. I feel delighted to be an eye-openner for most luos.
I just thank you bro for bringing Luo together
You're welcome. Help me share widely with your friends and family. I need more luos here.
As a langi of Uganda, these videos give me a pece of mind. Like for real
Lango actually
The you so much Omar. I'll soon come over to have a chat with the Lango council of elders
Kindly share my videos with your friends and family. I need more luos here
Try to go the palace if the king of Anywaah
In Siaya, Ugenya specifically, Bar is a raised area that has a shopping centre and market. Do they have the same reference or not!?
I can't confidently confirm this😀. Let's see if the South Nyanza luo would answer this question.
anywaa, from "nywako"--unite for a common, noble course-seeing some resemblance with kenyan luo dialect
Yeah, I was surprised to know the derivation of the name "Anywaa"
We knew from when we were kids that Bar El Gazel is the final or LAST migration place of some Luo groups but their first migration started from Icrael in Yudeya.
Do you have any source to this historical connection to Israel?
@@KPtravels001 Yes there are sources on line if you google up although they pull them down or hide them from the public, but our elders knew this information very well without the need from outside source. Google Uganda's 'true' religious history after 120 years there are lots of articles in there.
@@Mrpwocber
None of these African groups came from Israel
@@whoahna8438 Yes, carry on wasting your time in here. Do you think Israel people are the comtemporary europeans we see in Palestine today? Or the so called Jesus film is real Jesus? These are all lies.
Just recently I heard that Luo/Lwo are Hebrews but I don't know if this is true
Anywaa sounds like 'Nywako' in dholuo
But I doubt if there's any relationship between the two words.
@@KPtravels001 I think there is! a big one for that matter. I remember he told you that 'anywaa' means pooling together. Luos of kenya also 'NYWAAko' to achieve a big feat eg helping build a house etc
@@KPtravels001 Actually the two words are related. Nywako lwedo in Dho-Luo means working together/pooling resources. In Luo Ke nywako is also used when adding one type of food into another. For example inyalo nywako rabolo ei rabwon. In short it can also used when putting several items together.
💯💯
Well am proud to be a Luo in Kenya but born in Tanzania at a place called Murunyigo in Musoma outside town near lake Victoria.
That's great Mary and welcome onboard.
Your journey will take you all the way to the pyramids in Egypt. He's confirming things that we already knew. Luos came from Egypt and are part of the ancient Egyptian civilization. Don't know why the man was second guessing himself. Luos came from Egypt and most of us are not ready for that conversation.
There are Luo people in Aegen and Abu simbel the border of sudan and Egypt. They were there from Ancient times and even there was an ancestral shrine around that area. But the people have now become partly completely arabised
Yes, this could be true but the people who currently live in Abu Simbel are nubians. Atleast this is what I saw when I visited Abu Simbel in 2021.
However, I don't dispute the claim that the luo could have been in these areas before they started moving Southwards.
@@KPtravels001 I have some relatives who went to Abu simbel many many years ago and live there. They had a shrine there
the volume is low please check
Sorry about that. Maybe the microphone had a go slow.
Imhotep was Luo or a Luo derivative. Now can someone please tell me how he was able to turn limestone and granite into a liquid paste and allow it to harden back to solid. This is the only way that they could have built the pyramids, temples and those megalithic statues as none of them have any chisel markings. Something was definitely added to the limestone or the marble and it wasn’t heat. I suspect it’s a plant based secret formula that caused a solid rock to turn to a liquid paste, then harden back to a solid rock. Would really appreciate if anyone knows about this amazing African ancient technology. It was used in Kush, Nubia and Kemet.
Well, I can't answer this. Let's see if anyone has an answer
That version of luo history of migration is very true. Talk about migration way back you have no idea what this elder is talking about. Today we are kinda of settled unlike in those olden days. Do you know the meaning of the term Lango? Ask sn elder who knows and they will tell you. Enjoyed, thanks.
Thank you so much. So what is "Lango"? Kindly share my videos with your friends and family. I need more luos here.
Awchoni dhii nyaka naigeria bee awinjo nijoluo nikono GANA cameru😊
Only possible if you help me share these videos widely.
Definitely not, only the names kinda look similar.Nigeria was not on the migration route.
check on ua mic, no volume bro.
No volume? Is the video muted? Or just the sound not loud enough?
@@KPtravels001 the volume is low
The elder is .not clear, let him put volume
I'm sorry about this. Could you try to watch the same on a computer or TV?
My microphone wasn't very good but I've since improved on it. I bought a new microphone.
Next time you look for an elder from South Sudan (anywaa) I believe you would really get more history better than this☺️☺️
Why is the South Sudanese Anywaa history better?
