Hey bud check my link below. Retrobat is better and it launches windows games too. You just drag and drop your roms. I highly down anybody is going to play 50, 000 games. U must of had your childhood games and they are easy to find and just drop in its folder.
Hey thanks for the advice! I switched from Batocera to Launch box and I love it!
I gotta say it, this guy has the most thorough videos and, shows you the most he could.might I add, does a dam good job of selling these products.
Damn straight
Just Sub'd! Great Breakdown. I was impressed! I looked for certain things like the TV Screen before you go into the tunnel on Mario Kart 64. On some of these boxes it's all pixelated because it can't run it properly. I imagine because it's running through your pc everything can be handled and runs smoother. Great Video Man...
Thanks! Yeah this setup is good but certainly boils down to what you use for a pc to maximize performance
I love my LaunchBox setup. I have 12tb of hard work and collecting over a year or so. It’s almost full lol
Thankyou for the video i just bought the onr on ali express via your link im looking firward to it
LaunchBox builds are always fun to work with, so this setup is a nice high-end emulation base. The mad scientist in me would take my custom lower-end ROM base (121gb of space covering every system under PS1 and N64) and mix it with this one and create a "Gaming Til I Go" Build! 😎
That would be pretty sweet
Go where
@@andypandy4607 "Go" meaning kick the bucket. Didn't want to get morbid, but oh well.
How would it work if you add a bunch of rom hacks from your own collection? A lot of them come with box cover art, like the smw hacks, but there's a lot more that don't. One of these Launchbox builds plus all the rom hacks in my collection would be perfect
@@ngram4536 I already have a custom ROM set with all of the box art and video snaps already scraped. I add the newer ROMs to my set, run Scraper, which will collected the artwork and snaps of the newer files, and I'm good to go.
Looks amazing im sad not to have spotted a few if my favourite games from ps1,2,3 but over all mind blowing stuff
Wow, some really really great titles on this, ngl.
Whoa, I love PS1 RPGs. It has a good selection too. 👌
Nice build . Love it
Its a very interesting device and for tgis price almosr unbelievable! ✌🏼😁🎮
Can't wait to order the 5T version
When you review higher end bullds,it might be beneficial to tell everyone what the minimum specs they need to run this stuff. I have seen TONS on advertised gaming pc’s on websites that wont run these higher end emulators.
Wiah they made exactly this with all these same games but with 2 controllers and worked on my tv through the hdmi port
A few questions if you don't mind
If i have roms on my computer already
Can i use them with the emulators on the 2TB drive?
Will the emulators used on the drive allow you to upscale the roms?
I added you because I liked the content of your explanation of the device.. I only have one question. What are the minimum specifications for my computer so that I can play all games without problems?
Those 2 Zelda games on Switch already cost more than that damn 2TB hard drive. Lol well played, well played. Worth it.
Definitely
lol when ya put it that way, yeah good for anyone that likes to live in the current gen, can save money, not that the switch is current gen, dated POS lol. more fool anyone still buying games for it i rkn.
Cool video
Wow, i need this. Is this kind of an end all be all 🤔
Hi there retro, with it taking time to receive products from aliexpress, how was keeping track of everything and how's the billing too?
Great video, thanks!
Can someone please tell me what the respective file types are for each of the consoles?
Hey,great videos, what game box would u recommend that would plug into TV, run PS2,PS3,Xbox,GameCube and N64? Thanks
Golden Knights
Let’s go!!
👍🏻 yes!!
Just got mine!
wanted to see more of 3d0 selections.
Great review, thank you! It comes with game controllers, right? Can you use wireless controllers with it? And what type of PC would you need to play PS3 games? I got an I5 with 16 RAM
The ps3 has almost 20 year old hardware. I think you’ll be right mate
Should be okay with that for ps3. Check your graphics card but should have enough power there at least. Mine didn't but I believe you can get it with controllers.
@@thegamingfortresss mine works great well with most switch games but not ps3. I use Batocera 35 Linux, but I’m thinking that launch box windows version could be a better option. I’m interested in using it with these type of consoles
I wish they would come out with something like this for the PS4 or PS5...you can plug a regular drive into them anyways...you just won't get thumbnail pictures but just folder names and files. I don't want to play games on my PC...I want to play them on my TV in my living room...
if you already have a beefy PC, you can check out the steam link.
works very to get the picture+controlls to any TV in your house
Launch box and retroarch is best
So have all consoles in 1❤
Question: My wife and I are in our 60's but still love gaming. We are looking for simple to use gaming system to run on our PC's with these type of old titles. Would this be a good choice? And can you suggest controllers? Thanks for your time.
Im looking for similiar info. Im 41 and started gaming again with my son on my old consoles. A vid teaching about emulaters and where to safely download retro games would be cool for us who have lost touch with the gaming universe 😀
Me too!
I didnt even finish watching the video .. i ordered one half way through.... As much as i like setting up my own emulators and such ... I work full time and have kids .. so the $80-90 for the game list and set up already done is more than worth it alone .. looks like i can always add more games and build up my collection from there ...
Definitely see your point there
Nice videos man. I'm a big retro guy myself. My young boys join me in my Nostalgia sometimes. I only ask if you could display some info as you retro game
Frame rate
Upscale range like 4x/ anti aliasing or native
Hacks like wide screen
I only ask to get the best modern gaming experience for my boys.
Thanks! Will do that in the future !
@@RetroGamingGuy the goodness bro. Thanks
People who bought the device gave it low reviews. Maybe you can do a video on how to fix their issues on loading the system. I was thinking of getting one to i saw the reviews.
good starting point for people who are worried about dling roms, almost perfect to me but i would have took out ps4 and windows and switch out for og xbox
Yeah Xbox would be good for sure
Original Xbox is still a pain in the ass to get to run via Emulators. Xemu is still unreliable, with only 3% of the library being able to run properly, everything else has issues ranging from graphic and sound glitches to being unplayable.
Looks brilliant wish just plug in tv instead pc
@RetroGamingGuy, cool video. I use RGS Batocera Linux 1TB Image. Can you consider doing a review? I know he would appreciate it deeply. Can send you link or instructions to download.
How long did it take you to receive this? I ordered from the same person and never even got a order# or anything
I wish they would make this just to connect to the back of your TV to plug and play with all these games and consoles.
Worth buying the lite (500GB) version is £17. I link all my other ROMs from my Batocera drive into it as well (import). Only thing is the PS4 area are just PC versions of the game, gfx set to console like settings. But still decent if you don't have 'em. Can change settings back to high or ultra if you have the hardware. Vulkan api tends to work better with most emulators (apart use dx in Wii, as display issues with Vulkan). AMD cards are usually better with Vulkan. So maybe a better bet if emulating. Can't get the bezels off & full screen on in this for 16 bit stuff, although its exactly the same emulator & settings as used in Batocera.
The controls are well configurated? Even for pc games?
Thanks for the nice video.
How is Ps4 and Ps3 gaming performance ?
Can Arcade and Sega Model 2 be played ?
I'm dont speak English. . I use a translation. Program
Can you load custom textures in gamecube emulation like in dolphin ?
Where we can buy this little PC? And can we download extra games? And should we buy controllers extra?
The HDD on the link has 4k in games. Do you have the link for the drive in your video?
Great video my friend thanks for sharing. I'm new here and I would really like to put this question out to all the commenters on here. Fortunately I don't have a fancy PC set-up I just have a 4K television. So I was just wondering if anyone can recommend plug-and-play top system that I could use all my television to play some of these simulation games I would really appreciate it. I'm one that plays 16 + 18 b games but I really don't have one that plays anything above that so any information would truly be appreciated.
The ps4 "emulation" here is pc games. Just different files than the Windows folder. I pulled the rom files over to my GPD Win4 and they ran beautifully. Regardless, this HDD has a meticulously curated 2tb AAA library for the cost of 2 switch games. Gross value💪🏼
Definitely agree. Great deal and worth the cost to save time.
@@RetroGamingGuy eh if you already know what you're doing, otherwise as i said this is going to be missing a lot of titles and people will still need to do the deep dive. 20 wii titles had me laughing, theres 1600 games for that fkn thing
@@CyPhaSaRin true, but we all know that 1580 of those Wii games are shovelware 👍🏼
@@chimrichalds81 true, but we all know that's only one console out of how many, how many collections, gaming dating back to the 70s.. PS3 and XB360 emulation is not only possible, it's stable lol.. so no matter how you slice this, it's a fraction of what's available. A sampler pack getting way too much glory.
@@CyPhaSaRinI can agree with you on Playstation Vita for example, but ps3 is still better collected and played physically due to quality of emulation issues and low price point for the Blu-ray discs. That's why I have close to 300 of the best PS3 titles on disc. Also, I have an original Xbox modified with every original Xbox game. just because emulation as possible doesn't mean you are going to get the best experience. That's why I say, for $85, this is the best sampler platter Rom hard drive you can get
can you use different controller other than the preset they have?
This is a real ild guy question but can this drive be ised on any of the modern consloes or is it only compatible with PC's?
Dammit I was holding out on the N64 game list for the w's to see if it was loaded with wwf no mercy and wcw/nWo revenge but you stopped just short
Cool. I looked at it on AliExpress. They suggest an i5 processor. What processor are you using?
Ryzen 5
Hi.I am so impressed.someone knows how powerful the PC must be? 1000€ gaming laptop is 6 years old and starts to be very tired....not sure it could handle this...
Is this a plug and play with the emulators built into the files.
Or do you need to download the emulators to accommodate these Roms
Everything is built in already
Is there system like this that just plugs into your TV. I'm trying to figure out whats the best
I have one question, since I got my own Super Console X PC Box. Does this 2TB Launchbox Drive is compatible to the Super Console X PC Box?
I bought one of these and all games play slow (framerate and sound) even though i have a high end gaming laptop. After about 2 hours it seems to get back to normal speed. Any ideas?
Wish i could just plug and play this on my tv
Hi, nice video. Can you or someone inform me of a gaming console with controllers which has same amount of built in games from different platforms like PS1, 2, 3, 4, Nintendo, Sega, etc. And is there any gaming console with built in Xbox games like 1, 360, one, s, x.
Thank you.
Does this have Star Wars Rogue Squadron 2 and 3(Gamecube) on it?
What kind of specs would we need to run this? Like can I run it on my Mac book??
how do u download games, id like to doenload the ol skool Army Men games for the playstation 1 series from 1998
3 Big questions for ya
1. Can you add or remove games on this?
2. Can you adjust or change resolution or any other settings for the games?
3. Out of all the plug in play emlation box's, that are preloaded would you say Launchbox drive is the best or would you rec. something else?
Yes to all that. Batocera and launchbox are both very good. I have a hp pavilion gaming pc.
Sad to see no Smackdown vs Raw games
not bad for 100$ :) i don't like lunch box, i like folders and shortcuts :) my collection is 33 consoles with 50000 games with custom icons to run on double click :)
How'd you do that?
Got this and am having some issues with the PS4 games. The RDR2 has an "EMP.DLL not present" and the Last of us and RE 2 do not play at all. God of war all the written stuff to setup the game was in Chinese and I have no idea how t switch it back. Tried all the windows defender fixes, but RDR2 still has the same issue. Any help would be great.
Can someone please tell if this has ps2 titles, rule of rose, haunting ground, siren, and the fatal frames?
Now could you buy this HD then transfer the games to a box to play on your tv? Or do they already have something available like that?
That's what I'm wondering. Surely. I bought super console x and it sucks.
Ok so I do have a problem for one I just got one of them and I plugged it in and nothing is happening the PC isn't even showing it's plugged in the lights won't turn on but the disk in the hard drive is going
I have a question. I got one of these plugged it in and did everything but ps1 ps2 were saying I need permission to run and botw loaded just once then didn't I have a powerful pc rtx 3060 i5 can you or someone tell me where I went wrong. Thanks.
No Gauntlet Dark Legacy or DefJam fight for New York on PS2?? Damn
Nope but you can add them if you wanted I would both are awesome games im a huge gauntlet fans. I'd add seven sorrows too
I have this product as well it’s great but the video you did the other day the kriskoolmod 96TB retro beast is where it’s at and does all consoles from 1st generation to now I have that one also lots of great emulation products over the last few years I like this version still though and the other 4-5TB versions of this launch box
Bro, that one was $5k. This one is $85. No comparison, but I dream of the 96tb
@@chimrichalds81True but you can always buy it in parts and slowly build it up over time which I'm thinking of doing
@@SnowXiV
Most of the 96TB is bloatware and photos/videos for games - not needed just cool. I built the exact same thing with ALL the files for free. Took me around one month AND I saved about $4000.
@@knowledge4741great job!
I still just play from emulators like MAME without the special frontends and I'm ok.
Good to go cheaper!
For some of us, we don't want the "entire library of the universe" of gaming. ...
Life is simpler downloading just the games you want to play from each console or PC. And takes up less space.
No build really. Put roms in a folder of an emulator and play. Done. I will probably actively "play" a few to maybe 20 games on any given console or PC.
These look amazing. But $5000 for 96tb. Wow. That's intense, I could never play that many games in one lifetime.
I collected games and books. At one point, I had over 3,000 books. I got rid of most and have one smaller library of books I actually have time to read and use on a regular basis.
Would be amazing to call up these guys and make a customer build with just a small amount of games and consoles or PC that you want. Maybe if you just wanted 1000 games it would cost less?!!
Bought one from Amazon warehouse for $80 and works good with Rog Ally. I have a question though, what do I need to copy from this external HDD to my future Rog Ally Internal SSD for everything to work, besides the games? Of course the .exe and bios? Do I need to copy over the images and metadata etc too? I’m planning to just copy over half a TB worth of games. Thanks
Just clone it to a drive the same size or bigger. If bigger can expand the extra space in Windows disk manager after for that drive.
@@ashleymcgovern5120 thanks that’s what I did. The one from Amazon came with a bent cord, so I had to use my own, cloned everything to my own external hdd and returned it. I’m set ha
When you say plug and play, will this already have all of the bios for PlayStation and prod keys for Wii U and switch??
Yes it has everything already setup in there so you just hit play and you're in the game. No setup required.
How much free space is left on the device when you first got it?
Is it just for a pc or can you connect it to a smart T.V ? Thank you 4 ur time 😊
Just pc then to smart tv if you wanted
I have noticed that you are the retro gaming guy. After reviewing all the devices you have, which one is the winner? If money is no object, which one would you get.
It's almost impossible to say because they all offer different things. I suppose retrobeasts 96tb is the best one but it's a lot to setup and there's a lot of stuff I'll never play so way I look at it is why bother having 96tb of stuff I'll never play. Honestly I like making my own setups most because I can fully customize it and add what I want and what I'll actually use.
Yeah that retro best I would it's the king but on fixed income 683 a month so ain't happen...but this 2 tb drive I gotta have it.... But can you just get the drive I just wanted to drive I got tons of LOL if you could let me know please make sure I get the proper length because they are selling knock-offs with a bunch more games on them the 1000 Dame drive thank you for your time😊
Link sorry lol
If money is no object, don't pirate the games at all.
Lol @ editing out plugging in the usb cord backwards
Can you export the games out of drive or make a copy of it?
im new to these kind of things and i was wondering if this can be be used on a tv or just pc
Pc then connect the Pc to a tv
Does the Dolphin Bar work with this for Wii?
does it also work on the TV? do I need to do something extra?
So, does tears of the kingdom actually play? And, what emulator runs ps4?
can you find a Robotron 2084 mini?
I know that this seems like a really dumb question to some people but I was wondering on this device could I copy ROMs and emulators to a flash drive and then put it on my steam deck Sorry I am new to emulators and thank you so much for making this video and all your hard work
Not dumb at all. Everything's on this devices sd card so you'd have to remove that. You could connect that to another setup by connecting it to whatever you want to move the roms onto. For example say you want to add the Roms to your steam deck. Get a usb micro sd card reader and connect it to your steam deck that way. I assume you have a steam deck docking station. If not get s type c to usb a adapter too which what a docking station basically is.
@@RetroGamingGuy you are phenomenal thank you thank you so much
@@RetroGamingGuy thank you so much I was just gonna move over the emulators and the roms to retro arch on the steam deck or bios
Can you make a video how to add ps2 games to this system or link me a video? Thank you
I don’t have a pc, is there anything like that can hook up to the tv ?
What graphics card would be adequate for this? GTX1080? 2060? 3060? What would you recommend? Especially for the PS3 and PS4?
Budget-wise, RX 580 2048sp with a few settings tweak in certain titles would be good to go
does it come with the empulators built in
My PS1 games won't open. The instruction manual says change the drive letter of Launchbox to "L" Being completely new to emulation I have no idea what that means. Can anyone help?
Im having the same problem Im so confused
@@noreexe4016 I don't have one, but if "Launchbox" is the name of the drive... Type computer management in the Windows search bar... Storage -> Disk management -> right click the drive -> Change Drive Letters and Paths
Is def jam fight for new york on there for ps2?
Do you have to play with the mouse or can you use your own controllers?
You use controllers.
Is this safe to plug into your PC? Worried about malware or a product like this corrupting your pc.
If only it could be hooked up to a tv via usb
Does it work on a ps5 with the lastest firmware?
All the games just come loaded on it?
Hi.. there is no ps4 emulation till date to emulate those heavy games lol.. you can emulates small 2D games with Fpps4 emulator. i guess they are loading a pc game in the backend..
Can you connect another Bluetooth controller to it
Can you plug this to a TV and play!?
how can it be connected to tv?
or you can"t ?
Do u need a pc for this or can u use a tv ?
Do they make these with only rpg games
