I can't stop watching these videos even though I wrote off my Mrs's 206 about 8 yrs ago doing the same thing. I've had to drive through water once since that day and I nearly had an anxiety attack 😂 trust me, don't do it. The inconvenience is just not worth it.

What an utter moron in the Jaguar F-Pace, the fact the Mondeo got through shows that a lot of successfully driving through deep water is related to a slow entry speed and then maintaining that speed through. So, if you happened to be driving that Jag and are reading this, why? Why did you drive in so quickly?????

The temptation is to drive through fast and get it over with quickly but what that does is create a huge wave at the front which engulfs the vehicle and invariable ends up being taken into the engine via the air intake, situated in most cars in the grill between the bonnet and top of the front bumper!
Engines don't like water going into the air intake⚠️
The solution is simple, slow and steady, don't stop or hesitate, just fast enough to create a bow wave in front of the car with a slight dip behind it where it meets the bumper, this ensures the water level is well below the air intake!😎👍
Looks like a lot of them never heard of the chocolate bow wave! Especially that prat in the F Pace 😆

Except for my diesel fabia that survived it's dip and cut out in flood water, and has done 15000 miles since then
@@lorenzo_contini_7 water gets sucked up the air intake pipes , sucked into the engine , water will not compress so major engine components get damaged and are expensive to replace

@@lorenzo_contini_7 because a Diesel engine works on compression it will try to compress water and bend the com rods. Engine can be a total right off.

That jaguar *Knock Knock* goes the engine. That's an expensive mistake.
That jag perfectly illustrates the difference between a cross over and a proper off road vehicle
Not really, it demonstrates the difference between an idiot behind the wheel and someone that can drive.
That water was just over 1 1/2 feet deep, say 1'8" which is 508mm. The F-Pace has a 550mm maximum wading depth so should have made it through easily. The BMW X3 that got stuck a couple of weeks back is only 300mm max wading depth in comparison. The Mondeo shouldn't have had a chance in hell but went through.
The ducks must be waiting for this kind of entertaining waves.
