  • The Chandeleur Islands are one of those special places you have to visit to really understand them. When you are there you can feel the remoteness and fragility of the islands, and yet history shows they can self-heal and persevere through daily erosion and violent storms.

Hey Jon, just curious on how much fuel you needed getting out there and back in your rig?

Chandelier has always been one of my favorite fishing spots. Did some wade fishing too when I was young. You guys caught some nice fat girls. I see you carried extra gas. Good idea especially with inaccurate wind forecasts. Battery jumpstart and float plan are always a good idea too. Looks like your fishing buddy David was having a little trouble orienting the AM24 PFD (aka Rubik’s life jacket😂). Thanks for the video, good to see you’ll all making it back safely. PS, sharks are the main reason I don’t wade fish anymore.

that’s a long trip to take in a small boat. I’d be afraid to take that trip. We know how the weather can change. what’s it cost to get a permit or a license to fish over there in the Mississippi waters??

We are blessed to have the Chandeleur Islands are in Louisiana waters.

I showed the part of the video where the shark took the fish your friend hooked and she started yelling at y’all to get out the water. Needless to say if we go out there she won’t get in the water, but I don’t think she would cross 45 miles of open water to go there.

@@user-tl8bl2hp8r You bet, I tried like hell to get them to bite top but only caught 2 fish and maybe had 6-7 blow ups. They wanted soft plastics that day for sure.
