Fishing in a Thunder Storm at Grand Isle

This is the time of year I love to fish along Hwy 1 near Grand Isle, LA. Sometimes it's more fun to leave the boat at home and fish from shore or wade the flats. Today that was a great strategy because the stormy weather would have ended the trip if were I in a boat.
We caught quite a few specked trout and a couple flounders today and 90% of the fish were caught on twitch baits or jerk baits. My most productive lure was a sinking twitch bait from Nomad Designs, the Madscad.

Haven’t been down there since I was a kid, theres no way id be out there with thunderstorms are on top of me , but each to their own respectively , nice trout coming up along the coastline , that first plug you used the yellow & sliver one twitch bait , i have a couple ole H2O twitch baits in that color , one of my go to baits in Delacroix during the winter & spring
