Suggestion on how to solve your problem: Get a hole saw for concrete. Get a concrete stepping stone (like the ones next to the street at your house).
Use hole saw to drill enough overlapping holes to fit your sprinkler.
I have made my own sprinkler donuts from concrete. They are better than the ones in the stores. But I don’t have a CZcams channel so my technique will be like a secret family recipe.

Awesome! I used a pVC pipe…I have a crazy neighbor that brings his kid over to my house to stand on my sprinklers. Thanks. For the idea.

If that doesn't work out you can also drop the head lower in the ground - there is a part you can swap out to increase the height of the pop-up. That way the tire will be on the ground instead of on your sprinkler head.

Same prob here... I just relocated my sprinkler head a few feet away and adjusted the spray pattern.

Hi Mr. Gizmo, I am trying schedule 80 PVC to do the same exact thing. I haven't tried it yet. I was thinking I might have to put something under it (like packed rock/gravel) so it won't sink (like when the soil gets wet). I'm thinking that plastic cup you are using might break under the weight of a truck; I'm looking forward to seeing your next video with the results of this experiment. I was just searching around to see if anyone else had the same "sprinkler head protection' idea as me and see how it works before I go to trouble... Thanks for the video!

wouldn't your pipe underneath be still pushed by the weight of the car either way and cause damage at the joint?

I agree, the cup would seemingly transfer the force directly to the joint. Those concrete donuts have a wide surface and disperse the force across the surface of the surrounding dirt.

not work, the force is more than the load spread of the thickness of the cup, it will push down and force will again hit the top of the sprinkler head and snap the threads

I never did. At the time you couldn’t buy them online - so I thought of making them. I would buy one now I think.

People around me use PVC Drain pipe. It would be stronger then the Cup
