Joe and I have both been active members in the VGM scene for so long but it wasn't until January of this year that we finally met and realized how much our paths ran parallel to eachother. While I've been really going hard on CZcams for the past decade, Joe has been super active in the OCRemix scene so it was awesome after I had such respect and admiration for his work, that we ended up having a lot to talk about once we finally met up!
I had hit him up around the time of Twitchcon to open up communication and once we had started interacting on Twitter, people starting bringing up interest in us collaborating together, so we talked about what would be fun and I had almost jokingly asked, "I mean hey do you sing opera?" and his response was more or less, no but what'd you have in mind?
Turns out Joe's vocal talents do indeed include opera singing whether or not he knows it because he did an INCREDIBLE job with the vocals and I couldn't be more happy with this project. We had so much fun putting this together and I hope you guys enjoy it and go follow him. He's been making amazing content on all platforms. Hope to get to collaborate with him again soon!

@@Kono_Dio-Da To be fair, its probably a better idea to reuse VAs for monetary cost effectiveness alone, and it's even better to reuse them if they end up doing a really really good job, or have a variety in range for many characters. I would say IS definitely has some great VAs that they reuse unlike Bethesda which has like 4 on their payroll.

@@Anteo4ever Well, we don't know for sure. This shit sounds VERY accurate. It's obvious that a lot of people don't know the lyrics, but Joe possibly could. We need to remember that not only is he the voice actor for Claude von Riegan, but that he also knew about almost everything about the Golden Deer Route. Who's to say that the lyrics to God Shattering Star isn't one them? I can understand WHY this is gibberish, but we can't entirely rule out the possibility he knows either.
@@themidfacekiller617 no, they admited this on Joe stream when they first revealed this. They even made fun of the lyrics they created. Jules said he wanted the singing to be fun rather than accurate so they aproximated the lyrics with english words, hence the FallenFrogs bit.

It's unlikely; the VAs are only told what they need to know to say their lines (probably to prevent leaks). Plus, I doubt a VA (especially a localization VA) would know details about something handled by a different team.

He has little confidence in his singing abilities. In his stream with Allegra, he claimed he could "keep a tune", but he didn't feel comfortable saying he could sing.
How is one man man allowed to have so many different talents? Dude is better at singing with zero training than I am at the hobbies I spend all my time on.

I mean, the Crest of Riegan dragon sign in new game plus is the "Star dragon sign," his signature combat art is "Fallen Star," and seeing as how he's half of the reason Nemesis died (again), he did in fact shatter a god.

Did anyone else feel like verdant wind felt like the "good ending/path"? I was expecting it to be like a side path that was least relevant in terms of plot, but I ended up liking it the most.
It's the most fire emblemish of the routes, also the one in which you discovery more of the world
I feel it’s up to the player to decide what their good ending is. For me, it’s anything that doesn’t involve Edelgard :P
Personally, I prefer Azure Moon, since you can save the most characters by recruiting them. The only ones you can't recruit in that route are Claude, Edelgard, Hubert, and Jeritza.
Each route has a different a different idea on what the main focus and theme of the game is.
Azure Moon is about morality and saving the continent from war. Crimson Flower is about revolution and breaking free from corrupt institutions. Both AM and CF are inherently about about the war though; likely why they share a final boss theme.
Verdant Wind is about discovering the truth about the things behind the scenes that led everything to be the way it is, and finally bring an end to it. It's less character focused and more of a "grand scheme of things" route. The route is like Fire Emblem Fates: Revelation, except it doesn't invalidate the value of other paths' stories.

This version totally blew my mind, rocked my world and shattered the heavens. It's absolutely incredible. And Joe Zieja definitely underestimates his singing voice. He can sing, particularly metal, and he doesn't give himself enough credit. I fell in love with this version when I heard it in the Twitch stream... Lol me too. Actually when I first heard it outside of the game I was like...this is awful. Then I finally played the Golden Deer and loved it but then I found this and it's as you said Legendary
I'm late but agreed. I heard this the last one out of the 3 final boss themes and I heard so many great things about it, I didn't know what to expect, and the male opera singer threw me off so badly I ended up liking it the LEAST out of the 3 tracks. As time passed though, that perception changed a lot and now I can acknowledge that it slaps so damn much and there's so much raw power and chaos on it, I legit think of it as a spiritual successor to One-Winged Angel as far as epic final boss themes go. Thematically I still find Apex of the World and Funeral of Flowers amazing and very fitting for those fights, but this just goes beyond.
I love how Joe was just messing around with his bow when he wasn't singing
