I think Crimson Dawn is up there (Silver Snow being the worst one) because we actually see Byleth smile in the end. But yeah, as someone who's more into the lore of World Building more than individual stories, Golden Deer was peak for me. And Dimtri can suck it. He slaughters children and then we're supposed to say "Nah, it's cool, you were just grumpy"

I started with golden deer and now I am on black eagles, and honestly... politically the only one I ever empathized with was Claude, so it's hard to even care for her cause (so far). I love the golden deer characters and story personally..
TLDR; the game has 4 routes, and in 1 of them the main characters are fighting to end xenophobia and this is the theme that plays during their final fight against a zombified version of an ancient king who is very bad and is both tangentially and directly responsible for creating the xenophobia and racism the characters are fighting against.

I kid you not, I heard this track a month ago and decided to get Three Houses because I wanted to hear this song ingame. I now have 160 hours and I'm on my third playthrough. I never thought a single song would get me into a game series like Fire Emblem, but I'm really loving it. I poked around and discovered that this video is a CUSTOM remix/splice of the two official versions of God Shattering Star. The uploader made this (amazing) splice, uploaded it without a description and without putting Fire Emblem in the goddamn title, and got 5 million views. Legend.
Like, this is easily the best version of the track. The way 3:25-4:00 is worked into everything else... the way 4:36 is echoed by 5:01... it's all so good. And it took significant audio editing skill to do it, too (I know because I tried to replicate the editing myself).

I honestly lost my shit when I saw the weapons that some units had, thinking "Wait, are these?" and then I realized that "Yes, yes they are." It would have been cool if they had interactions with their descendants or something, but it was an absolutely amazing final map nonetheless. Nemesis being voiced by Lu Bu is a cherry on top for me as well.

Presumably, the Agarthans didn't put the finishing touches in on Nemesis in time. That's why he wasn't there during the Shambhala map. You'd think they'd have used him, but they didn't. Probably because he just barely wasn't quite revived yet.

@@slowhite1706 Some FE games usually take a bit of a weird turn towards the end, like Radiant Dawn going from a traditional medieval war-like scenario to a full blown "kill God with the power of friendship" one (still love that game tho'), but I certainly didn't expect to go to a dubstep city and ending things off by killing a bandit boss, who is usually only the first boss in the games. And it still works somehow XD.
@@slowhite1706 Lol I was actually kinda exaggerating a bit, honestly nothing gets as wtf as Shambhala for me, and I've played almost all of the games XD. Golden Deer was my first route as well; after that I picked Blue Lions and, even though I love Claude and the Deer gang with all my heart, I do think the Blue Lions have the best route in the game. Dimitri's character arc is definitely something that needs to be experienced, especially if you're going in blind. I highly recommend it myself. You can't go wrong with the Black Eagles, but I personally recommend leaving it last, especially for you since one of the two routes available in the Eagles is really similar to Golden Deer in structure so it can kinda get repetitious. Also welcome to Fire Emblem! We're an odd bunch but you definitely picked a great time to start, seeing as how everyone are really enjoying the game. Also also, sorry in advance for my really long comments XD

I poked around and discovered that this video is a CUSTOM remix/splice of the two official versions of God Shattering Star. The uploader made this (amazing) splice, uploaded it without a description and without putting Fire Emblem in the goddamn title, and got 5 million views. Legend.
Like, this is easily the best version of the track. The way 3:25-4:00 is worked into everything else... the way 4:36 is echoed by 5:01... it's all so good. And it took significant audio editing skill to do it, too (I know because I tried to replicate the editing myself).

This is my first FE game so I can’t help you there friend.
@@slowhite1706 Some FE games usually take a bit of a weird turn towards the end, like Radiant Dawn going from a traditional medieval war-like scenario to a full blown "kill God with the power of friendship" one (still love that game tho'), but I certainly didn't expect to go to a dubstep city and ending things off by killing a bandit boss, who is usually only the first boss in the games.
And it still works somehow XD.

@@slowhite1706 Lol I was actually kinda exaggerating a bit, honestly nothing gets as wtf as Shambhala for me, and I've played almost all of the games XD.
Golden Deer was my first route as well; after that I picked Blue Lions and, even though I love Claude and the Deer gang with all my heart, I do think the Blue Lions have the best route in the game. Dimitri's character arc is definitely something that needs to be experienced, especially if you're going in blind. I highly recommend it myself. You can't go wrong with the Black Eagles, but I personally recommend leaving it last, especially for you since one of the two routes available in the Eagles is really similar to Golden Deer in structure so it can kinda get repetitious.
Also welcome to Fire Emblem! We're an odd bunch but you definitely picked a great time to start, seeing as how everyone are really enjoying the game.

ChosenDin well now I’m a part of that odd bunch! I do want to know what happens if you go the Blue Lions route since Dimitri’s death was brutal in the Golden Deer route. Although Black Eagles is appealing to me simply because of Edelgard’s death scene. Don’t think her words are something I’m going to forget for quite a while.

There’s always that one nameless enemy that decides to dodge literally everything you throw at them for no reason
especially when 98% in fire emblem is actually somewhere around 99.94% meaning you'd only miss about 6 times out of ten thousand.
