What the hell the lyrics exist and it’s from Nemesis’ perspective?! This goes otherworldly levels of hard
Well the game gave us two different interpretations of Nemesis: One from the Seros perspective that painted him as a bandit, murderer, and warlord. Then one that is proclaimed to be the secret truth passed down through the Adrestian Empires royalty that is told to us in CF by Edelgard that states Nemesis was never a bandit, but rather a warrior who became a king that sought to fight against the beasts to liberate humanity from the dragons masquerading as gods.
Regardless of which you believe is right, what is nice is this song which gives us the perspective of the man himself. Which leads me to believe the CF routes claims over the SS routes claim. Given that Nemesis in the song sounds like a proud warrior who genuinely believes he is liberating humanity from beasts that they have been convinced is a god, as he comes off as a person who believes in humanities right to decide / carve its own fate like Edelgard who is basically Nemesis 2.0. Which if we look at it like that, why wouldn't Nemesis actually be the King of Liberation given Edelgard is designed to be the second coming of him?
What I see to be the primary difference is, Edelgard was born into a position of power with leadership thrust upon her as a duty she felt obligated to uphold. Thus used the power she was given to forge her own path and fight for what she believed in despite knowing she would be happier had she never had to pick up a blade. Nemesis on the other hand is a born warrior proud of his strength, with a desire to carve his name into history as the King of Liberation and savior of humanity. So unlike Edelgard he had to earn his title and the loyalty of everyone who stood beside him in a way Edelgard did not born into royalty, so he is driven by a desire for recognition and glory that she did not have due to her upbringing.
It doesn't necessarily make either one more virtuous than the other, but rather shows that their motivations are born from different desires.
If I knew the lyrics beforehand, I would march towards fodlan with Nemesis

The language isn't Latin, it's fake. Beyond that, this seems to be an extension of the "King of Liberation" class description:
"Under the pretense of liberating Fódlan from a reign of deception, this king rallied his people to arms in the War of Heroes."
This song is basically the propaganda he used to rally the people against Nabatea.

The story about Nemesis slaying the "evil gods?" Those "evil gods" were simply children of the goddess. According to the developers, Rhea couldn't completely change the lies Nemesis set up, since humanity already believed he was a hero. Instead she simply spun the tale that he was corrupted by his power.
@@xreamed He was right though. I think crimson flower and also Golden Wildfire proves that Rhea is evil and that Fodlan will only be free if the last Nabatean is forced out of it.
@@shizachan8421 Nothing justifies genocide. Rhea's more morally gray than evil, unless she has a mental breakdown. She wants to keep the peace, even if it means maintaining a corrupt status quo. That's pretty much the extent of her political motivations, and her conflict with Claude and Edelgard. And yeah she's evil in Crimson Flower, but that's basically because in that route, to her, Byleth is the second coming of Nemesis, but with a more personal aspect due the betrayal.
But still, despite having every reason to, she didn't reveal the truth about Nemesis or wipe out his followers because she wanted to avoid unnecessary bloodshed. She even knows she's unsuited for her role and just wants to transfer authority to her mother. As for the others… Seteth and Flayn lived in secret. Indech gives people trials and rewards. Macuil isolated himself from human affairs despite his desire for revenge. If this is the behavior they display after facing such atrocities, I doubt they were as terrible as GSS says.
Plus Nemesis absolutely did not believe what he was putting down. The extra lore in Three Hopes revealed his rule was not a pleasant one.

I’m pretty sure it’s supposed to be “Fodlan”, not “fodra”. The implication being that in whatever language this is, the world for the world and continent Fodlan are the same thing.

The chant that you are hearing is in a made-up language made just to sound good with the singing and overall "barbarian" feeling of the song. The lyrics that you see on screens were translated from the japanese text which is present in the official soundtrack of FE3H for this soundtrack.
