Awww he's keeping it cool 😲🙀
Sypha : the crowd control
Trevor : the strategic
Alucard : the powerhouse
Perfectly balanced. 😎
@@MMZERO9 As all things should be
Sypha is that cheat AP.
Alucard is that beginner friendly All rounder, has it all skills.
And trevor is playing on hard mode but has the most broken exclusive skill/equipment.
As all things should be
Trevor is the powerhouse he never has nearly as much trouble as alucard does in most fights especially once he gets the combat cross and whip of the Morningstar
I love how well thought out the tactics of these fights are. At 1:49 Alucard and Trevor immediately realize that Sypha is preparing a strong attack that needs time to be ready, so they immediately move to cover her. At 2:12 when the new monster prepares to fire it's attack, everyone immediately moves to dodge because they don't know how strong it is. But the second time it fires at 2:19 Sypha knows she can catch the blast because she has already gauged it's power.
This isn't just mindless action, these are skilled and experienced fighters who know how to approach a battle strategically as a team. And the animators/writers really put in a lot of effort to get that point across.
To further add to how in sync all three are, Sypha catches and holds the blast from the mouth creature, letting Alucard flank it and punch it in the face to interrupt the beam and create an opening for Trevor to finish it off, then as soon as they realize it's gonna blow up all three immediately take cover under Alucard's shield and Sypha's ice barrier.
Every good action scene animation or live action should look like this. Each action should cause a little problem or solve a little problem. Am i on the ground? how do i get up? Is it attacking? How do i counter? Am i blocking for her? Is she blocking for me? When do i strike? Where do i strike from? You see that in this fight all the time. Especially that spinning shot as each of the characters cover for each other. Alucard has to duck an attack and he swings under Trevor to intercept. Trevor makes an explosion and Sypha uses the fire.
These fights are so great because everything is intentional and logical. And if the characters make mistakes they get punished for it. Sure sometimes there’s some showmanship for the views but everything stays cohesive.
Their team synergy is amazing.
And at 1:23, they noticed Trevor stopping his assault and his blade making a sound, turned to look at him and immediately ducked as they realized what he was gonna do.

I gotta say, I love the evolution of Sypha's magic. In season 1, she barely used it for combat, more as a defensive and practical tool, and in season two, she evolved to be more of a combat support role. Also, she first used lightning to trap the castle in her strongest display of magic yet. In season three, she clearly learnt to use it a lot more aggresively but still kept a distance and used it more for terrain and zoning, and she was starting to use lighting a little more regularly. Here, she's learnt from Belmont and overall experience to adapt her abilities to any situation, including close-quarters combat, and is chucking lightning left, right and centre.
sorry to be that girl but... it's "learned" not "learnt"
Even the fact she was able to magically hold back the hellbeasts beam shows her leagues of magical growth since season 1
I wouldn't describe her as a typical mage. She's more like a warrior that uses Magik as a melee weapon.

1:17 I love how each member of the group actually improved in skills, abilities, and gear since the last time they fought together.

He overpowered a vampire with strength alone and caved in a night creatures skull with his fists so I'd say he's pretty damn strong
Trevor might not be as strong/fast as alucard and doesnt have magic like sypha but his weapons are too damn destructive. He’s got most lethal set of weapons in the series
He had magically enchanted items. They augmented him basically to spell caster status.
@@reymalone5666 His weapon is lethal, sure, but I'd much rather take Alucard's sword over Trevor's Morning Star. Whips have very poor defensive capability and the range is limited by the chain length, compared to the sword which can be used while restrained, at a distance, defensively, etc.
0:20 That has gotta be the coolest and most seductive “Evening” greeting ever.

It’s not a small thing, it’s badass as hell
Trevor once hide it out of shame/guilt and because others would kick his ass if they got to see it

Reunited, they're such a badass trio. They knew what to do without even arguing or even speaking after they took down the wave of vamps that came through the front doors. And they know how not to hurt one another or others when fighting...their teamwork is flawless, their friendship not so much(but we love that too).
Then think about when they first fought together against Dracula's (not so) army. They have improved significantly.

Can we take a moment to appreciate how well-rounded the females were in Castlevania? From Lisa Tepes, Sypha, the Vampire Sisters, and more, we saw really smart, clever, and battle capable/strong women who could hold their own making them _assets_ to people close to them.
They never cried and/or gave up in a battle and never expected a man to come in and save her ( _glances at Naruto, Bleach and more_ ). Outside of fighting, females were kind, empathetic, feminine, and willing to just _listen_ if it could help them grow as an individual _and_ help the entire team.
I really hope there are more multifaceted females characters like this in the future.
Who asked bro?
The weakest female major performance by far was season 3-4 Carmilla, when she was no longer surrounded by emotionally stunted males (esp Godbrand) to serve as foils for her cool calculation
@@dotkingjames2128 what a dumb comment.
Also, I love how they handled marginalized groups in this show too. They didn't center their entire characters around the fact that they were POC, queer, or women like a lot of shows do they just wrote characters that happened to be those things. We need more representation like that.

This series was incredible. Trevor and Sypha fought amazingly together and Alucard was amazing on his own. But with all 3 of them together, the way they act without speaking to each other and know when to act in tandem with another’s attack, it’s god tier teamwork.
Right? No talking needed, just building on each others attacks one after another with fluid coordination. Raise your game all others! This is the apex of teamwork!!
Take notes WB's Justice League
I love how alucard keeps it simple " vampires and night creatures killing refugees and a mad man up stairs" and right after back to fight
Trevor and Sypha’s entrance is and always will be one of the most cathartic moments in anime for me. First time I saw it I got chills down my spine and I still get them every time
The moment when he sees the fire from the left side and the chain on the right side. You could see in his eyes that he got emotional because he knew at that moment that his friends came (without being asked) to back him up.
Honestly, I got emotional myself.
Especially after the last 2 seasons he went through. He knew he had true friends at that moment. The reuniting felt so good
He did try in season 3 to "connect" with 2 humans only to be betrayed by them. Belmont and Sypha came to his need in his darkest hour, without a summon, without a gain, without anything. Truest of friendship.
And Alucard sassing Belmont immediately, is a great example of it!
Iconic that they got reunited right here at Dracula's castle
Also they’re defending the exact same hall they were fighting to get in on Season 2
Alucard's Castle*
where it all started
thats a big motif throughout the season
Sypha is exactly the kind of mage/sorcerer I always want to roleplay in RPGs. She literally had 5 lightning balls ready behind her like how in Dark Souls we have the Homing Crystal Soul Mass spell ready. That scene was so awesome. Flying through the air with her fire spells, made a bunch of spears fly from heating them up then cooling the wall to launch them.
This show was a masterpiece of character interaction and character development. They didn't throw it in your face and its so subtle. Brilliant

I can't believe they really nailed the action sequences and sound effects. It's so compelling to watch and I consider this the best adaptation of a video game series so far.

These 3 together are not to be fucked with. The writers and animators did an amazing job making their fights fluid. The use of either combination of the 3 playing off each other's abilities creating devastating combos and protective assists . Masterfully done
I love how seamless character development is in this show.
Throughout seasons 1-2 Sypha only ever used fire and ice magic. In season 3 we see her struggling to summon electricity for the first time, and by the end of S4 she already wields it like a pro.
Same with Alucard, he went from only using his super-speed to dodge attacks, to using it offensively, and then combined it with a shield bash for maximum damage.

There were a few times Sypha would have died without Trevor watching her back. It's called teamwork.
I think she takes care of crowds better than trevor and alucard could
@@danitankmen8213 Yes, but mages are squishy, that’s why the two others take the enemies that might slip through.
Trevor's morning star whip arguably can be considered superior to Sypha's magic. It was the weapon that pierced the boss's armor and blew up his arm at the same time. Sypha can do something similar with her lightning cutter or an incredibly large icicle but one requires dangerous close range and the other requires a longer cast time.
That moment when Alucard realized his friends were back and they could all start kicking ass together again with the fucking highlight of the fight.
Also once again Sypha had the highest body count.
As any good RPG mage should when left alone to cast.

I genuinely cheered so loud seeing Trevor and sypha make their entrance. Alucard's witty response of "as if my night wasn't going bad enough, it's Trevor Belmont" is so perfect and captures their relationship so well. Not ashamed to say I cried a few times in this last season, sad its over but happy it happened!
Their team chemistry is truly unmatchable.
I loved the power progression on this show. In season 2 when they attacked the Castle they fought maybe 2 dozen Vampires, and while they won they did struggle a bit. Now after a few months of various battles they face a LOT more Vampires as well as 3 powerful Night Creatures (not counting the group they killed coming through the portal at the beginning) and they're not even a threat to the Trio.
I'm looking forward to the spinoff following the Belmont descendants, but I REALLY wish I could see more adventures with Trevor, Sypha and Alucard.

comparing this to nocturne - yup the new trio has a lot of training to do until they can defeat a literal army of vampires
yes, they are so weak... Specially Richter
The way Alucard's eyes are, when he sees the fire and the Morning Star, he really thought they were never coming back, huh?
"Alucard goes over the top and we support him": basically all their fights summarised
I screamed so hard during this, THEY'RE BACK!!!!!!
Photographer: "Okay, Sypha, Trevor, Alucard. I need you three to do an epic pose.
The 2:57 mark of this video.
Photographer: "Yes! THAT'S IT! That's awesome! Stay like that while I take 100 pictures of this and use up my camera's memory" 🤳🤳🤳🤳🤳
seriously this series was the closest we got to a D&D series, its simply amazing, from the turn-based combat in real time to the magical items and spellcasting, I love it
Trevor is a battle master, Sypher the wizard and Alucard a warlock in my opinion. :)
I like how they take turns being in the middle. They are all equals in their eyes.
I like how there are multiple types of uniforms in the vampire mooks ranks, reminds us that these are remnants from Dracula's council who came from all over the world. Little touches like that are so nice.
0:30 Nobody gonna talk about how goofy this looks? This show has fantastic animation, but her profile is hilarious.
I loved hearing the opening credits music used here, especially since the full opening credits sequence wasn't used for every episode, which was a shame because it's awesome.
This whole episode was a fight scene and it was glorious. How amazing it is to see how the trio started off to being separated for so long and fighting together as if they had never left each other. An unlikely friendship that will last a lifetime.
I still do wish we would’ve seen the reunion with Sypha’s caravan. Honestly i would’ve loved to let them see all the change. That Dracula’s son has taken over, that they’re all friends, that her and Trevor are in love, that everyone is happy and safe, etc.
I see we're still sticking to their classic strategy:
Terrify
Disorient
Go over the top
These three fight with unspoken strategy... its like they know how each one think...
When Medieval Batman, the Avatar, and a Jedi join forces.
