I honestly don’t blame them with the decision they’re making, it’s difficult to lose someone that’s close to you and it’s also hard to find a way on how you can move forward from the situation you’re stuck in. Some may agree and disagree with my comment but I believe it’s the healthiest thing they can do for themselves cause trying to find another singer that can fill in for Chester is not as easy as others might think, the best they can do right now is keep in touch with each other and keep Chester’s memory alive. RIP Chester 🙏

Chester really is irreplaceable. I think if he had died of a natural cause or even say in an accident maybe it might have been easier for them to move forward, but that can't happen. Chester dying via his own struggles given how close they all were (esp. mike) was way TOO TRAUMATIC and haunting. It'd be only natural that they end. There would be no possible way for them to continue with either a new singer or with just Mike. It just wouldn't be right. Their old "way of life" is GONE.
If they build something new as a "new birth" out of the ashes so-to-speak, then that makes sense but Linkin Park is done.

Mike is the "energy" behind Linkin Park, he is the founder member, he write the lyrics, he sings, do the rap, create riffs, play guitar, keyboard and piano, Mike is a one man band, and with the rest of the band they could do something even better than with Chester.
Linkin Park works well without Chester, listen to Xero and the Mike solo songs like Dedicated, Step Up and High Voltage, and dont forget that have a lot of better singers than Chester.

Not surprising, but I respect and understand their decision. I've already accepted awhile ago that Linkin Park is permanently done, due to it never being the same without Chester. This isn't me saying that Chester was Linkin Park but his voice was definitely beautiful and unique, making him practically impossible to replace. Plus the bandmates were all practically best friends with each other (Especially Chester and Mike), so that would make searching for a replacement singer even harder. I do wish the best for all of them and hope that they never truly give up on making music and that they're all able to go separate ways music project-wise, though.

It's also the rap and lyrics from Mike, The riffs from Brad, the groves from Rob, Dave's Bass and of course Joe's final touch. You can't say that an entire band is one person, just like you can't say that one person is a band. Yes, when it comes to Linkin Park, people mostly remember Chester and Mike, but that is just simply not doing justice to everyone else who put their heart and soul into those songs and albums, just for some dude on the internet to say Chester WAS Linkin Park. You can look at it that way, everyone in the band was creating a playground for Chester and Mike so they can perform, and at the end of the day people forgot who build the playground on which Mike and Chester were staying on, if that makes sence. That was way too long, Im sorry you get the point.
