It's no "whatever reason", mate - I myself as a simple fan am sick and tired of people asking Noel to reunite Oasis - imagine how sick Noel must be! Let it be and move on, it's never gonna happen nor should anyone wish to happen. That ship has sailed a long time ago and people should stop living in the past. There's no unfinished business there as Oasis fulfilled their potential and should they ever reunite in all probability it would be a very sad show to see some grumpy chaps in their 50s trying to pretend it's the 90's all over again. The reason is he's using a public platform, for no apparent reason, to ask Noel to reform a band he was last on almost 2 decades ago with a guy he hates.
I'm not sure what's confusing about it. It's not like either of them are sitting at home doing nothing, both Gallagher brothers regularly release music and tour and play a fair amount of Oasis songs live if you want to hear them go to a show. People who want them to reunite at this point are either nostalgic for the inevitable reality show style drama that would unfold, or are nostalgic for a logo.

I love oasis and I’ve always sort of found it refreshing how honest and blunt both of the brothers are. If you don’t like them, they don’t legitimately seem to care. Even if you do like them it seems as well. The conflict between those two brothers will likely never end, even if they ever do get back together.
Nice to know someone likes them. I am a big fan all the way up the their last album...but I don't tell anyone, lol!

I went to see the Foo Fighters at CalJam years back .. and Gallagher was there at the festival 😂now this dude’s mad at Dave 😂 I love Oasis but I’ll never think of them more than a Band that always wanted to be the Beatles but ended up just sounding like John Lennon on “I am the Walrus” 😂 on every song

Foo fighters went from band to brand with Taylor Hawkins' death. Dave replaced him with Katy Perry's drummer and charges $400+ for bad seats. Yeah, I'm off the Dave fan wagon. For the people saying that Liam is cool but Noel isn't just remember that Noel wrote the vast majority of Oasis' songs and the rest of that band has toured with him, not Liam since their breakup. I don't care for Noel's newer stuff but he's writing and playing, not just paying strangers to back him while he sings the hits.

You're talking about Josh Freese dude. He's one of the most in demand session drummers in rock history. He started with The Vandals, he's the drummer for A Perfect Circle, he used to play for NIN. He's one of the guys most big producers have on speed dial because he's that good and he knows how to play perfectly for songs of all kinds of genres. Yes he's played for pop artists because that's how he makes his money. He's a hell of alot more than "Katy Perry's drummer."

I think Noel is a fun curmudgeon though. He is sort of like Larry David, in that way. Loves to complain but I *think* he is (hopefully) - beneath the bluster - a reasonable dude.
I can sum this up easily... Noel is Jealous that Grohl praised Liam but made no mention of himself. Noel hates his brother with a passion, this talk of his telling Liam to call him is a gotcha tactic. Neither men would actually sit and talk reasonably, it would just be another shit show between them. I don't care about Oasis but it doesn't take a rocket scientist to assess the situation and figure out that this is one easily angered man raging for the world to see.

A good example of people from other backgrounds, listening to the way people who grew up from the Oasis background talk to each other normally (banter, wind-up, sense of humour, straight-talk) and interpreting it as drama of beef.. Spend one night in any UK council estate pub in the 80s or 90s and unless youre used to it, you'd end up feeling like you left with your pants pulled down. Its not beef, its just peoples way round here... You're never left guessing, thats for sure...

Is he f*ck a better singer. Newsflash -- NG hasn't wrote anything even close to his early work with Oasis since his orchastrated walkout. He's always banging on about how he writes songs. It's a piece of piss to write a song, but it's very hard to write a good one, and NG's work for years has been, in my opinion, pretty damn awful, especially his solo stuff. You can't deny that LG has been far more successful than his brother (even NG agrees), either. I just think NG thinks he's far better than what he is, and his solo work proves that he needs his brother more than LG needs him, given that LG is a far, far better singer & frontman.
So I've counted 8 bands that Dave has said are the best he's EVER seen.🤷

I can understand an artist like Noel getting annoyed after years of being hassled about a reunion with his historically significant band... I can even understand lashing out occasionally on the matter to interviewers and maybe even the occasional obnoxious fan... But, I should also think that an artist like that could also recognize the difference between interviewers and obnoxious fans vs another artist like Dave... Specifically in that they are both artists who were involved in huge and important bands from the same era, but unlike Noel and oasis, Dave can never reunite with his band... Seeing how much Dave loves oasis, his desire to see a reunion is probably coming from more than just fandom... I imagine that for someone in Dave's position there's a certain field of dreams quality... I can't bring back my band, but if I can help bring back this band it will still bring me closer to what I really want...
