I was 16 going to 17 in a month when I heard this. I was on my laptop just chilling, I pulled up another tab, then the news feed had a big picture of chester, at first I thought it was him telling everyone they were gonna do what music they wanted. I scrolled down and it said he committed suicide. I remember being absolutely shocked, cause no celebrity deaths got to me until this one happened. Him and Linkin Park always helped me during my dark times and clear my head, especially when I need comfort if something bad happens. I'm 22 and I still can't believe it happened. I thought that it was just a random tweet, and was about to dismiss it, but I decided to see what it was about. That's when I saw the news about Chester's passing. I was in such shock, I couldn't focus on my work anymore. The world stopped right then and there for me, and I immediately stopped my work and went home, and I was still in shock for the rest of the day. I remember growing up with Linkin Park, and even though I wasn't actively listening to them at that time, I still felt shocked to hear about this news.

It helped me through a lot I did have suicidal thoughts in 6th grade and I started you know SH in 8th grade. I recently got therapy and it helped me alot thank god but I’m still struggling and scared of what’s gonna happen next year in my first year of highschool 2017 was the worst year in my life due to hearing so many arguments from my dad and mom and hitting and my dad was being very controlling towards my own mom due to dr*gs and it was hard the last time I saw him was in 2nd grade he would ask me personal questions about my mom asking if she is dating anyone and I said idk and he starts yelling at me and threatened that he is not gonna be my father anymore or whatever.. I love my dad but I will never forget what he did. Linkin park I wanna say thank you for helping me through anxiety and depression when I’m trying to work on it I love you. Chester i understand what you were going through I understand it, I understand your trying to help people when you can’t help yourself your not just a singer but your a person. I recently got therapy and it helped me alot thank god but I’m still struggling and scared of what’s gonna happen next year in my first year of highschool 2017 was the worst year in my life due to hearing so many arguments from my dad and mom and hitting and my dad was being very controlling towards my own mom due to dr*gs and it was hard the last time I saw him was in 2nd grade he would ask me personal questions about my mom asking if she is dating anyone and I said idk and he starts yelling at me and threatened that he is not gonna be my father anymore or whatever.. I love my dad but I will never forget what he did. Linkin park I wanna say thank you for helping me through anxiety and depression when I’m trying to work on it I love you. Chester i understand what you were going through I understand it, I understand your trying to help people when you can’t help yourself your not just a singer but your a person.
