      learned how to do it last year, the first ring mu was my proudest moment. in the process of learning i used such techniques as negative(reversed) mu's; mu's using rubber bands; very deeeeep ring dips and false grip pull ups to the chest. also before learning mu's i was able to do 15 clean pull ups on regular bar and 15 ring dips rto. (also did some cardio to loose weight so that helped too)

    As a 66 yr old beginner (for the last 4 yrs 🙄) who only recently discovered your channel, just want to say thanks. You've given me several _very_ useful tips, particularly for handstands, HPUs, and PTHs, which also has been great motivation for my practicing. You = excellent teacher 👍. Cheers from the States. Regards, Frederic.

    I learned the muscle Up by doing false grip pullups and straight arm falsegrip holds

    Hi Paul, thanks for the tip on the band this will help me because I am using plastic rings with a rough surface and they kind of hurt. I think I should try wooden ones. If you could share any tip on the diameter to go for, that would be great. Thanks for all your videos

    • @PaulTwyman
      @PaulTwyman  Před 18 dny +1

      Yes the plastic ones are quite hard on the skin! they are good for keeping outdoors as the do better in the weather compared to the wooden ones. Diameters are normally all the same for rings, you can buy two different thicknesses and I prefer the thiner ones

    So is it easier to do an L sit chin up, then swing the legs back to help with the transition phase?

    • @PaulTwyman
      @PaulTwyman  Před 18 dny

      Yes I find it easier to roll through the transition using counterbalance either from L Sit or Front Lever

    Hi! Paul! What is your actually weight and Height? I am 88 kg, but I don't know how many wieghts should I lost that I can able to doe the planche. Could you give me an answer i nthis question?

    • @PaulTwyman
      @PaulTwyman  Před 18 dny +1

      I'm 78kg and 169cm. Start training planche leans and progress to tuck planche etc as you get stronger, increase conditioning and lose weight. Everything will then get easier week to week, month to month
