I watched it in Costa Rica. All of us were laughing so loud. One person out of the while class was French and we razzed him about the ending. He was a good sport😊

Why the Last Jedi and Batman V Superman not being there is beyond me. Or even The Flash.
The Room is a fascinating example of why directors don't often star in their own films.
It sounds perverse, but I feel like I can learn a lot more about film making from a movie like The Room than I could from something like the Thin Red Line (one of my favorite movies).
@@isaachaze1maybe it's because you can see the mistakes and know how to avoid them and it's obvious it was made by amateurs who didn't know what they were doing (except for the dog)
The room is a fascinating case study in the so bad, it’s good-between the cinematography, acting, dialogue, and script.
However, Danny Devito, Kevin Costner, Barbra Streisand, Gibson, Stallone, Eastwood, Affleck, and Krasinski have all successfully starred and directed in multiple successful movies.

@isaachaze1 IMO the learning occurs when you analyze them side by side, so you can clearly see "ok, that's where The Room screwed up, what'd Thin Red Line do in a similar scene?"

The amazing thing about The Happening is it makes watching grass grow actually quite appealing which is ironic given vegetation is the star of the movie.
VENOM had the writer from 50 SHADES OF GREY (Who is also directing VENOM 3)
MORBIUS had the writers from GODS OF EGYPT (Who are also behind MADAME WEB)
And KRAVEN THE HUNTER has the writers from TRANSFORMERS: THE LAST KNIGHT

To be fair the director of 50 Shades of Grey basically got writer controlled out of any good decisions. Folding Ideas has a good video defending the people trying to make 50 Shades a somewhat good movie.

After being a fan of bad movies for the past 40yrs, I whole-heartedly agree with this. "The Room" is on a whole other level. It will be rewatched long after we're all dead.

I have a weird feeling that if David Lynch remade The Room, the story would somehow make sense.

I think the Happening script could work with more hammering out and less flat characters. I've always been terrified since i learned trees release their co2 all at once sometimes and this can kill you if sleeping on the ground near the woods.

In response to the joke about the Last Airbender kid cast staying in school, I looked them up. The results are interesting. The boy who played Aang has no IMDB recorded work since Cowboys and Aliens. The other guy is a working actor. One girl was born rich and then married David and Victoria Beckham's son and works when she feels like. The other girl is a working actor including a major voiceover role on Legend of Korra.
Tommy Wiseau needs to team up with Neil Breen in a Uwe Boll backed film.

I would have bet a hefty chunk of change on _Jupiter Ascending_ making this list. I'm a bit sad that it didn't.But, this was still an awesome trip down memory lane.

Maybe because there aren't many actually interesting sci Fi movies.
It reminds me of the 5th Element, because of the interesting visuals. There aren't a lot of other movies to choose from like that.
Also, Milla Kunis is easy to watch.
@@jamisojo I'm glad someone liked it, box-office bomb though it was. However, the _Honest Trailers_ folks didn't. Their episode "Honest Trailers: Jupiter Ascending" absolutely skewered the film. If you really liked the movie and haven't seen their review, don't watch; it'll just make you mad. Besides their review of _After Earth_ and maybe _The Last Airbender_ , it's their biggest shellacking of a film I can think of. That's why I'm surprised it's not in this compilation. They should do a second ten with that, _Terminator: Genisys_ , and a _Transformers_ movie for a start.
Hey, give the guys credit for trimming it down to a video that didn't last 10 hours. Trying to cover all the rubbish that seeped out of the bottom end of Hollywood over this period?
They could do it, but no-one should be asked to work that hard.
I think it was long enough ago and so forgettable that they just didn't think of it.

A fun fact on the "stink lines" in Morbius, They were aparently inspired by Gengar in Detective Pikachu. The issue here is that Gengar is meant to be made out of poison gas, not a solid body.
They could have made smoke follow them around in vampire form.
If there's one thing I can compliment The Emoji Movie over, it's giving Jordan a reason to quit acting after being offered the role of Poop Emoji, and turn to directing.
He makes awful movies so it hasn't been a good turn.
Is that why he continued acting (in at least 6 different movies since then)? Or why he was considering taking the role until they offered it to Stewart because Peele took too long to get back them?
they actually got a more disengushed actor to take that role Sr. Patrick Stewart captain of the Enterprise D and E and a skakephereion trained actor

Live Action One Piece was surprisingly great so there’s a chance at least

Yeah no ill will towards the Last Airbender movie makers but I have a vivid memory walking out of the theater with a headache. That’s when I knew something wasn’t right. Also One Piece live action was great so have positive expectations Avatar show will make it work.
Except its netflix produced and they cant make anything good to save their life.

This was great. Loved 24:22 on the empty text conversations. Annoys me even in good movies and shows, such a lazy attention to detail. The opportunity to put interesting or amusing backstory on the screen at no loss, missed. I feel it must be a conscious decision to declutter the shot.... made by a someone who doesn't realise interpreting that image is instantaneous in anyone younger than them.

There’s a lot to talk about in The Room but I went to a screening with Greg Sestero there for a live intro and he said Tommy Wiseau still hasn’t answered why it’s called The Room

Battlefield Earth is an anti-colonial, anti-imperialist film. About leverage. And Dutch angles. And everything being purple. And an entire planet having shitloads of flammable gas. And that one recording of the Psychlo language played over and over again. And cavemen flying fighter jets. And Barry Pepper.
Battlefield Earth is my favorite John Trovolta movie. Much better than over rated Pulp Fiction.
I find the lack of Moonfall disturbing.
I am so grateful to have never suffered through any of these movies.
The Room is actually pretty good for educational value. It shows you everything you shouldn't do when making a movie.

The real lack of focus with The Room that really cheesed me off was the fact that Johnny and Oh, Hey Mark didn't order the cheesecake like the two people before them did.
The waitress was really pushy about that cheesecake.

3:40 I think I watched the movie once, but I couldn't watch it, so I didn't remember most of it. But that cafe scene just shows how little moviemaking experience Tommy has. The people in line go take their seats, and pull out noisy chairs right over dialogue.
So they clearly had one mic for the room (pun intended) rather than one for foreground dialogue, and one for ambience, and, stick with me here, "sound mixing". I know, crazy, right?
I'm a bit surprised that the honest trailer for Superman IV: The Quest for Peace isn't on here, since that's one of my personal least favorites of all time... oh well, great compilation of some absolute stinkers!
I still think The Happening was intended to be a parody of environmental horror movies from the 70s and 80s, but not everyone got the memo that it was supposed to be a comedy and that's why it's... the way it is.

At least these movies are ACTUALLY really bad and not something nerds decided was bad because some random movie influencer decided it was bad. I've seen that happen a LOT. I think it's changed a bit over the past few years but I'd walk out of movies with friends loving it, like in the 2000's, only for them to tell me they hated it a couple weeks later. And it's like, yeah, they didn't come to that decision themselves. It's sad when people do that.
Yeah, it seems like there's a "correct" opinion on movies these days where you're expected to follow the crowd of certain reviewers.
