Born in the 80's, i can still remember the first joke i ever told when I was 5. I was in preschool, and a Fireman came in to talk. At the end, Fireman Larry asked " So in an emergency, who you gonna call!?" And i shouted "Ghostbusters!"

I grew up with the television version of the OG Ghostbusters. It wasn’t until I purchased the VHS in college that I realized how adult the film was.
Everybody in New York City was probably getting ghost head at the same moment that the one-hundred-foot-tall marshmallow man was attacking the city and thus didn't remember the presence of any other ghosts aside from the ghost giving them head.
I never get that kind of ghosts, a real shame

I think Ernie Hudson did a great job playing Eddie Murphy in the role.
Nah, 80's eddie murphy just wouldn't have fit with the others.
Also, he was way too young for the part.
22 at the time, so he would need to be child genius to have been a doctor.
The others were in their 30's, bit more believable.

In the last 4 years, we've seen huge amounts of the population deny absolute facts, evidence and even their own eyes. The silver lining is that the opening premise of Ghostbusters 2 is not only utterly believable, but may have toned it down too far.
My favorite part about your comment is that you know what point you are trying to make, but depending on the topic, both sides believe they are right.

Eddie Murphy wasn't going to play Winston, he was going to play Egon.
Common misconception. The characters weren't fleshed out until Harold Ramis and Ivan Reitman joined the project, and Winston was added later.
Source? Because I thought the character was still named Ramsey when it was intended for Eddie.

They say that the character of Winston wasn't added until after Murphy turned the role down, and that originally there were only three Ghostbusters and they would have been Dan Ackroyd, John Belushi and Eddie Murphy, playing the characters who would become Ray, Peter and Egon respectively.

1:38 I have been telling people that Dan Ackroyd wanted Eddie Murphy and Jim Belushi, but Eddie had already signed-on to do "Beverly Hills Cop". So, there's a version of The FLASH where Eddie Murphy starred in Ghostbusters!
First, it's spelled Aykroyd. Second, it was John Belushi. Dan Aykroyd was writing a line of dialogue in the Ghostbusters script for him when he got the news he'd died.

My headcanon is that the cab driver Dan plays in the in-name-only-2016 movie is Ray, but a different version of him.
The actual comic canon says that 2016 is a different demention, so is "real" and "extreme". When they blew up gozer, a being that belongs in every demention at all times, they introduced the concept of Ghostbusters to every universe.
