I don't eat after 8pm anymore. It's stabilized my weight from 215 lbs. to 170 lbs. and counting. I guess it can be considered a partial fasting. I suffer hypothyroidism and not eating after 8pm has been effective in my metabolism. I drink water throughout the day which curbs my appetite. Doing this does not mean to gourge or overindulge either. I eat whole foods for example instead of 100% juice I eat fruit. No fast foods for me. I make homemade desserts. Eating breakfast is extremely important as I eat less for lunch and dinner. So far so good.

It doesn't matter what time you stop eating, if you burned more calories then you ate you will lose weight, if you burned less then you ate you gain weight. Simple as that. Even if you ate right before bed the total caloric intake for the day is all that matters

That actually dilutes your stomach acids and causes food to not really digest fully, and causes obesity and depletes energy too. Just take little sips of water during the meal and pay attention to how your body reacts to the food and if you're starting to get full or not. Once you start to feel full, stop eating. But never chug your water unless you're fasting or working out but still make sure its not 30 mins before or after a meal. Just sip.

Small changes has helped me a bunch. My main advise to anyone losing weight is cutting your portions by half if you're urging to eat one of those guilty pleasure foods.
For example you and everyone wants to eat pizza. Instead of ordering a deep pan with stuffed cheese crust, order an Italian base without the cheesy crust, limit your sides and have two pizzas if you normally have four. Having healthy sides goes a long way and couple that with a daily walks does wonders. It's not even too taxing, walking even half an hour a day helps a lot as long as you cut your calorie intake.
Tip: Eat less. Move more.

Here's what i do i have 1200 calories a day, i don't drink milk (i get dairy from other things like cheese my nutritionist said it was empty calories but told me to eat cheese or other things to replace it), i don't drink juice (fruit is ok just the added sugar in juice isn't) i don't drink sugar pop, i get snacks every once in a while, i drink 3-4 bottles of water a day, avoid breaded or fried foods (every once in a while is ok), and just stick with it. And i exercise everyday. It's really hard at first but it gets better.

Hi. I'm on a pretty high dosis prednison since 2017 and diagnosed with hypotheroid but still size S.
My tips for you;
- Try to drink water instead of soda. It might be yekkk! But....your body will thank you later! (put slices fresh lemon/melon in it for a better taste)
- Eat more small portions (4-6 a day) eat very slowly and chew like crazy before swallow your food. Sounds crazy but...really helps!
- Eat your last meal no later than 20.00u before sleep. Sleeping with a full stomach is NOT good...
- Try to eat as much veggies as you can, so for instance when you eat borritos/wraps less chicken en higher dosed veggies
- Learn yourself to eat less sugar by eating healthy things you do like, but....with less calories! Popcorn for instance, healthy snack!
- Get your body used to sour food like apples, grapes, etc.
- Eat daily a little light soup before dinner. So you're less hungry and eat much less!
- When you want to eat bread, toast it so it filles you stomach faster!
- Change cheese for light cheese, make your own marmelade with fresh strawberries and a little sugar, make yoghurt party with fruit and sprinkles!
-Want to eat apple pie? Make your own, bake as usual but add less sugar!
And last but not least; Hang your most gorgious pic on your fridge when you used to be smaller, or from someone with a great body.

Lemon water and cutting down when to eat . Taste buds will change and not have anymore cravings. Then try 16:8 intermittent fasting. Also helps to walk at least 30 minutes everyday if you can. Great for mood and brain power. Lost almost 20 pounds in two months started at 250 and its going faster. Also lessens the side effects of birth control. Only go out to eat for family gatherings and not on my own anymore. No desire to.
I lost 30pounds in 3 months. All i did was IF, keto and some exercise. It is only hard at the beginning but after awhile it becomes a routine lifestyle and becomes as easy as driving or brushing your teeth. I also don’t exceed my daily caloric intake.

I get loads of exercise (insane amount, I’m in JROTC Raiders) but have seen no improvements (have actually gained weight). Went from 178 to 152 since April. My best tip. Put a calorie counter like my fitness pal on your phone's home screen for easy access. Make it effortless. Every time you prepare or eat food scan the bar code or look it up. Buy a digital food scale for portions. Do not go over your calorie limit for the day. Eat what you want. Pro tip - frozen health meals like healthy choice, lean cuisine, and eating well have gotten really tasty for $2-4. They have a ton of variety, but just be sure to read the ingredients. Get familiar with the nutrition labels. Losing weight is 90% diet and working out can supplement that. Basically the hard truth is if you want to lose weight the secret is move more eat less. It is difficult but if I can do it you got this.
Edit: Don't just stick to frozen meals but they are nice when feeling lazy. Too much salt can make you bloated by keeping on too much water weight. Soups have so much salt. They are filling but they can make you feel horrible if you don't moderate them.
Pancakes Thief I actaully have a scale but its so hard for me to use..like measuring every thing is so tedious especially when you don't know how much you're really suppose you have. I don't even know how many calories I am suppose to be taking in. So I just guessed mine to 1200
Yeah it is tedious for sure so I try to make it as painless as possible. My health app is on my lock screen. Its the easiest app to get to in my phone. You can use something like that or look up "calorie calculator" on google or safari. They all may have some range but they do mostly average out. It uses a formula based on age, height, weight, gender, and activity. Using myself as an example I am 26 y/o, 152 lbs, 5'6 in., and lightly active but I just put sedentary for a faster loss rate. That comes up to 1500 calories for me a day in order to lose 1 lb a week. For women that number of calories will generally be lower. 1200 is a pretty good guess. The whole thing is frustrating especially with food that doesn't have a nutrition label to scan but after a while I just remember/know how much is in an average banana or whatever. You get used to it over time. Best of luck!
Edit: One more thing. Sometimes it may not look like you're loosing a pound a week but it could be because of water weight being held onto your body because of salt excess or other factors. It has been like that for me sometimes but it eventually goes. Just keep doing your thing.

I have lost 70lbs since Christmas. I eat 1 meal a day whatever I want. I eat that meal right before I go to sleep. I know I know...everbody says you shouldnt eat right before bed. But I had no will power in the evening and I could never fall asleep unless I was full. So I realized that wasnt going change. So I decided to cut out breakfast and lunch.

I lowered my sodium to 1500 a day went from 223lbs. to 194lbs. In 3 mouths I don't know if that good but I believe it was the right thing to do.
It's all good to know. I follow most of them except chocolate. I find that adding fresh lemon 🍋 to my daily water and sleeping 7-8 hours preferably from 10 pm-6 am helps to lose weight.

You get used to the flavor after awhile. At first, I used to plug my nose but then decided just to hold my breath. But now it's ok without the breath thing. ;-D
I don't think it actually makes you lose weight, but it assists with weight loss. If you look up ACV on the net, you will be able to decide if it could work for you. There are many conflicting views on it and few studies done. ACV has a high acidity, so that's why you should drink it diluted in 8 oz. of water. There are many things other than weight that ACV can help with, so it may worthwhile to look into.
I drink it every morning, and honestly, I feel better over all. There are other changes that I need to make with diet and "moving" more, so I am still on the road to success with my weight. Sometimes you have to pick and choose which of the ideas and opinions out there you want to try. Everyone is different, so what works for one may not work for another. I only eat within a 12 hour period. Replaced soda with flavored soda water, replaced candy with dry fruit and chips with nuts. Lost 40 pounds and maintaining it for the first time. Everyone is different so diet trends always gave me short term weight loss but it always came back. Your diet doesn't need a fancy name to work for you. Healthier habits works better than trends.

and for no.2: it's not about morning and evening, it's about your calories of the whole day, it depends whether you work/ are active in afternoon or in the evening (at least this is what i heard from experts)

exactly that's what I was missing in point 4. The glycemic index of spaghetti may be low (also depends on how long you cook them), but whole wheat is still a lower GI and better. It also contains much more fibres.

Was 270 lbs and getting more and more health problems ( 67 years old ) Commenced a KETOGENIC eating life change 3 months ago and increased my basic exercise regime to include swimming and cycling 2/3 times a week to add to my golf twice a week .
Already down to 245 lbs ; waist down from 52 inches to 45 and feeling better in myself than have done for 20 years . Have basically cut bread, potatoes , pasta and most alcohol from my diet . Keto works for me !!. I have a goal of 200 lbs and a 40 inch waist AND to live another 15 years , not 2 or 3 which was the way I was going !!
