I do a lot of skulls in both B & C with the back wax I seem to like the finished color of the B better but its not as durable just for the fact your medium is fragile bone . Would it help by using your clear coat on the B for durability on bone and can a clear coat be applied over your wax?

A clear coat would protect the finish, but unfortunately it will not alter the durability of bone. Nothing goes over wax but more wax.

hello, if my metal like brass or copper already has clear coat on it and I want to remove it, what is the best way to remove it before degreasing if I don't have a sander?

How to remove a clear coat without a sander has a lot of factors that come into question. What clear coat was used? Are your trying to preserve the finish underneath? Give us a call and we would be happy to ensure you get the proper answer 760 432 8242

You guys have great videos, but you leave out the amount of time to wait between steps in almost all of them. For the first skull using bronze B, how long should the patina sit before pulling it back with paper towel/brush, as you do at 11:40?

At least 24 hours. Typically, I will give it 2-3 days before I start any sort of burnishing though.

Can this be polished to a high sheen? I'm looking for a solution to making gold look less fakey without going as far as electroplating.

You can get a pretty good sheen on it but if you need it really shiny I would put a satin or gloss clear coat over it.

What kind of compressor setup needed for this as CFM and PSI?

For the sprayer that we used in this video, for a continuous spray, they recommend a 30+ gallon compressor, 6 CFM @ 40 PSI. I spray the Metal Coatings at 60 PSI though.

Does metal coating make the bones any stronger? Like more drop/impact proof?

Unfortunately no it would not add that kind of strength.
