If the piece is already dry and patinated and ready to be cleared, can it be burnished and buffed to remove some of the patina and leave the patina in the low spots and crevices?

Are the metal coatings dry when you add the patina? And do they require a high humidity level?

We apply the patina while the Metal Coating is wet. They do not require high humidity but you get a longer reaction time so you will see more vibrant colors from the green and blue patinas. Not much difference from the brown and blacks.

Mmmm I’m lost. So, ones you apply Metal Coatings you should spray inmediately theBrown Dye Oxide!?? Or let dry Metal Coatings for a few minutes?? Thanks

Use the Dye Oxides on a wet Metal Coating for best results in my opinion.

Is it possible to do it on real products not only on flat sheetmetals plates?

Yes, Metal Coatings work on most surfaces.

@@sculptnouveau I mean if you can do real examples. A sheetmetal plate is very easy to demonstrate but if you have a welded frame or some other products i think it is more difficult. Thanks

@@ANDREJSIJKA Agreed, larger samples are more difficult. We do small samples so that we can show more samples and do these videos more often. We have done larger scale items as well as our customers do many large projects, some clad entire buildings even. We try to do larger scale projects when we have the opportunity but we are patina people and not fabricators which makes it a bit more difficult. Here is a link to a cabinet we did at a class in front of 30 people because you are not alone in the thought that these processes are much easier on small pieces: instagram.com/p/B1elFG_gfbk/?

Are you using B or C metal coating in this video?
