Recreational use of unmanned aircraft is prohibited at Oregon Islands NWR. I was gonna do but regulations not allowed and is part of the Oregon Islands National Wildlife Refuge
I don't know much about drones , but is it possible to fly in through that open door? Would it lose signal to the control? Or do you just not do it because of property laws?
It would take remarkable piloting skills and a lot of luck to enter the lighthouse. And yes, once inside you'd no doubt loose signal. Especially at that distance. My drone was pushing the limit of it's signal range.
Michael Gregg The island has urns where people have paid to be placed out there anyways so maybe better to not try. Really nice video though. It's cool seeing everything up close instead of from the beach.
Nice upload. I did the same back last December. czcams.com/video/0puBMiG1xMM/video.html Looks like you had a good run. I just hit RTH when i got to the rock. Im planning on launching closer so i get more hover time and run about 3 Batteries worth of flights. If there are no birds around i plan to fly up to the front door for close ups. I see there is a lot more bird crap compared to my flight. Edit: Did you launch from Ecola Park?
Your information on screen is INCORRECT. The inscription above the front door gives 1880 as the year of construction. The lamp was first LIT in January of 1881. Please do your research first before publishing.
beautiful shot man !!!
It just a cool looking little light house it’s to bad that it’s not automated for it to still be seen
I've been wondering why more people haven't taken their drones out to Tillamook Rock. Thanks for posting this!

Redline - A lot of people have done this, regardless of any regulations.
I've been waiting for someone to take some drone footage of this lighthouse. Thank you! Very Cool!
