Happy days, my dog Bonnie was born and my first year of flying drones, by 2014, I lost 2 Phantoms in the same field!!!! Never looked back and now I've added the Phantom to my fleet, enjoy the video :)
Thank you for this Shaun! I didn't come along until the Phantom 3.
You still got plenty of drones since Marcus, many thanks for watching :)
Ay-up Shaun! So nice to see your antique. I didn't start flying until 2017 and my P3S still works!
I must try again Richard, happy days back then, learning to fly. Good to know your P3S is still working. Many thanks for watching :)
Wow does that bring back memories. The P1 wow. The toggling the F2 switch ha ha ha. Oh man. The hard mounted GoPro ;D
Yep, happy mémoires Joe, going to give it another go in the new year :)
I was in a model air club where it was magical see these fly as we all had nitro plane's..
The drone was stick's with motor's at the end and no GPS .just ESCs home made no computer, took skill just to hover lol
It's good that people can now have the enjoyment of flying with little training and a lot of safety features and assistance
Thank you Richard for your comment, so much has changed since first owning my drone and now has better safety features and easy to fly now. Many thanks for watching :)
I never owned the Phantom One, at one point I had a Phantom 2 Vision Plus. I'm sorry you couldn't get the drone up in the air, hopefully it will fly the next time. Thanks for sharing.
Thank you Ron, shame I couldn't get it to fly but hopefully I will try again but its nice to have my Phantom fleet. Many thanks for watching :)
That is the Phantom model 1.1.1 that had the selflocking props. You are supposed to turn on the controller FIRST then conect the battery & let the drone sit on a level spot until the light goes thru it's sequences. Once the light flashes all green that shows it has aqquired enough satelites. Flip the S1 switch about 15 or 16 times then calibrate the compass. Now push both levers down to the left or right & the drone should turn on. Flip the LEFT lever straight up & that will launch the drone.
Many thanks for your comment Michael, I will give it another try. Many thanks for your help.
Have you tried to re bind the controller to the drone? The person you bought it off might of had a couple and mixed up the controllers. There could be someone else, with another drone, also purchased from the same person, with the same issue.🤞
Just seen your comment on the other video with the Phantom 1 - many thanks.
i just bought a phantom fc40 for a $100.00 from my uncle cause he bought a newer one. So now im just tryin to get used to it. its really fun!!!!
A great drone to learn to fly with, just need to try mine again. Many thanks for watching :)
Nice one! Got a perfect condition p1 and p2 vision for 50 used! Both fly well, Id say the p1 is more fun and easier! do the p1s have rth stock? ive seen videos of it but not sure if i want to turn off my transmitter hahaha. Good luck!
Thank you for your comment and glad yours flies okay, wish mine did. Many thanks for watching.
@@shaunthedrone thanks, do you know if the phantom 1 has return to home?
@@rarest_dude if I remember, no as it only has about 10 minutes of battery life and I lost 2 of those in the early days, one with a GoPro camera!
@@shaunthedrone oh no! I've got a newer GoPro on mine, I hope this doesn't happen. Thanks
Still got all my drones from the Phantom 1 to the Mini3 pro.
So like me Trevor, bit of a DJI drone nut, many thanks for watching :)
You need to pull. The sticks down and out to start engines .
Many thanks for the info Simon, I will dig out my Phantom and try again - thanks for your help.
