DISCLAIMER; I am not an immigration advisor .
These videos are based on my personal experience, that of friends and research on the internet

I am a doctor When i migrated... I started off as a carer. Now all thanks be to God i am practising now
I have had a similar experience, so I know where our doctor is coming from👌I ended up not continuing with my registration. Became a healthcare worker and then a Healthcare Administrator in a specialist forensic psychiatric hospital. Psychiatry was my go to specialty while in medical school, and I get to be a part of my patient's recovery process as a Patient Liaison Officer. The salary is not much compared to a docti's salary, but I get time to be in the lives of my 4 kids, and that makes my proud and 100% fulfilled!
As single mum of 4 with no support from their father or family, I chose not to practice and have time for my children with no regrets. This was 7 years ago. Now, my first is 21, in Public service (Conservative councillorship aspirant and student of the University of Cambridge), my second, 19, is an aircraft engineering student and in the Royal Navy. My last two daughters will continue in the medical profession in a few years by God's grace. No shame in stepping back to take a leap forward. Your story us an inspiration as many docuors who end up not getting registered with the GMC live in shame and hiding. No need for all that.
I believe that this doctor working as a carer will make her a better doctor. I’ve been a nurse for 10 years, and I’ve realized that many doctors who have no other experience in healthcare tend to be demeaning and rude to nurses and patient care assistants . I now believe that through this experience, this will make her a better doctor, a more understanding doctor, and a more respectful doctor to all members of the healthcare team.
True
I agree
So true
@@NanelleGriselda pls was it when she was in ghana doing her internship dt she wrote her plab 1 or when she got to the UK? Tnk u..
True, it’s a good way of integrating into and understanding the system, when the big opportunity comes you don’t make a mess of it.
Beautiful ladies from Ghana ❤❤🇬🇭🇬🇭.....I know her and have worked with her in TTH in Ghana...must say she has a great personality ❤😍🇬🇭
I like her sincerity, humility and humanitarianism. She will go far
This happens a lot here in the UK. I remember a medical doctor from Nigeria who started working as a cleaner in the hospital in Scotland. He then progressed to work as a care assistant and now after many years,he is a senior consultant surgeon. Glad to connect with you here bell on for more.
Wooooow
@@NanelleGriseldaGood for her and the pathway she took. I knew a Nigerian trained MD her in Canada, who did his RN degree, after working for a few years, he received a residency position. He is now working a registered Physician in Ontario, Canada (getting in the Canadian system for physicians is very difficult).
❤❤
At what age hahahaha Africans keep deceiving yourself
@@oludotunsamuel5091education has no age limit. And in Western World if you have a determination, you can be anything at any time. It’s a matter of getting the opportunity to be in these, or those countries in a illegal way you can chase for anything. And you won’t ll achieve it. Age is nothing in Western World.
I can say nothing is impossible if you keep your focus. My sister in-law worked briefly as a career while preparing for her medical license exam. Now she runs 2 practices in Canada where she employs doctors after qualifying as a GP in the UK.
Even if she cleaned floors
She’s still a doctor 😊
Some people are Doctors and come here and start in Restuarants
It’s just a temporary transition that makes for a good life story 😊
She is a doctor in her home country not in the UK until she passes her license
@@Motswako
No need to state the obvious but it still does not negate the fact that she is a doctor
Any country you go to you will have to go through exams to convert and qualify
That’s a standard procedure
Absolutely.
Alot of people had to start somewhere. If you dont pass a few exams to practice overseas, you cant just start working as a doctor. It's just a stepping stone. More wins for you. 🎉
Exactly ! When you are a medical professional and relocate to the UK or US, you would need to take some board exams to qualify to work in that same profession; meanwhile you would need to earn money to support yourself, so you do care work in the interim. Nothing wrong with that.
She’s going to be the best doctor!!! She will know the patient from the carer perspective and experience, humble and will go far❤
There are lots of African medical doctors working as health care assistants while attempting to regularise their registration with General Medical Council (GMC)
I work with a medical doctor from Nigeria turned support worker to begin with. I was a support worker. This Nigerian doctor was very humble, very nice guy. He worked hard for his medical doctor qualification update courses and exams for over a year. There were times he was very frustrated, but in the end he was successful, now a medical doctor. He had to start from less in the UK, going with patience and courage to go through ups and downs.
I will be proud of her when she return to Ghana and use her experiences gained abroad to improve the heath care and practices in Ghane
It is a stepping stone! Me worked for five years as a Pharmacist in Nigeria and have been working as a HCA with the NHS and I still trying find my path! There is dignity in Labour and we all have to start somewhere and our beginning matters!
Wow
Similiar situation here, Over 7 years as a Pharmacist back home, but Care assistant in the Uk. It is well. The heart is the matter. Love and care for people.
I love this phrase: there's dignity in labour.

Pride comes before fall. I'm so proud of this Ghanaian sister. Humble yourself when you find yourself in a different situation..
@josephlouis7702, Beautiful perspective! Whatever your lot is in life, hard work is honorable.
Wow! Well done Dr. you have learnt a lot more by now. More experience for you 🙏
Wow
You have encouraged me a lots
Thanks
Its a ll a mindset you caring and blessing life
It's just a stepping stone. More wins for you. 🎉
There's always a beginning 😊and I believe she will scale through and finally get to her dream job. It is not easy getting license to practice as a Doctor whenever you move abroad but she is brave and I love it. Nanelle I trust you 😊to always deliver the best and yes there is nothing wrong in working as a carer it's still much better than suffering in ×××× . People need to understand this if you get the opportunity start as a carer and as time goes by move up . May God help us in our pursuit for a better life...
She is so beautiful and intelligent
I love her humility and sincerity also
I’m really inspired by her
She’ll definitely go far in life
Much love
Purpose is everything. ❤❤
Inspiring story. These ladies are awesome. There is so much posivity and sincerity.
I love her confidence and sincerity ❤
The most encouraging video I have ever watched today.
I agree....she will make such a great doctor when time comes
What a great interview! I clicked here based on the title "Medical doctor turned care assistant in the UK", which I expected was going to be a story of injustice of some kind. How wrong was I! Instead it's two sweet, accomplished Ghanaian ladies rapping of nothing but success!
"Mo!", as they say in Ghana, or "Big up!" as we say in Jamaica (and now almost the rest of the world too; LOL). Great job, and please keep up the good work. Greetings from Connecticut, USA.

I’m a midwife working here in the uk as a HCA getting lots of experience n cash so happy with my role and getting my license soon😊
How long have you been working as a HCA?
I'm also a midwife working as a carer. I'm a dependent, I don't know how to go about the whole midwifery registration thing.
Search on CZcams you will get sufficient information I’m also a dependent and I’m in the process of getting my license
I work for 6month now
How can I reach you
A DOCTOR WILL ALWAYS BE A DOCTOR.
This is the video I’ve been waiting for thank you Nanelle
@nanelle this is why I love you ! Not hate keeping and pulling up other women along the way I’m so excited because I know you both and seeing you both share valuable information made me happy
Great content! Interview questions, answers... perfect!
So proud of you, been a carer or a doctor or nurse you’re still taking care of people, because in Canada carer, nurses and doctors work as team, but some Ghanaian nurses in UK look down on Carer, I’m really so proud 👍🏾
Very dedicated individual. Good to know there is a medical school in Tamale and it has produced a very productive and dedicated Medical Doctor. Well done.
I worked as a Care Assistant for two years before my first hospital job as a Junior Doctor.
I work as a Consultant now.
Hello, I am an international medical graduate from Kenya and I was wondering if you would be willing to chat with me about your situation. I am hoping to join the NHS later as a junior doctor but I have some time before I can apply. I need to wait and also do exams in between. Would appreciate if I can reach out to you
I love her mindset and openness ❤
Well-done Nanelle
We are an amazing set of people in how we adopted the make changes to better our lives.
I love this video. ❤ 🎉
This was very beautiful watching... Thank you so much
Glad you enjoyed it
I knew definitely you will bring her here🥳
Much grateful for all the info and quality content you give us here.
Much love Nanelle😘
🙏🏽
It's a thumb up 👍for this video. Really inspiring and motivating. Lesson learnt: It doesn't matter where you start from or the route you take. The most important thing is to keep your eyes on the ball. Thank you both...🤝
🙏🏽
True
Really helpful interview. Love the both of them
Absolutely the mindset❤❤❤
She is close to me. Kudos doc
Thanks for this content Nanelle ❤️
You're so welcome!
I totally enjoyed this session, I enjoy all your videos anyway🙌❤. You're a great host/presenter and I sometimes wonder if you ever took a course in journalism😂.
Congrats to this wonderful lady, I'm just coming across her and I must say that I'm proud of her🤝🤗. She'll definitely go to higher places because of her mindset and positivity 🙏

Positive mindset!!!!!🎉
Am really inspired this morning
Love her, she’s very humble
Wow, this video is very incentivizing. Every minute spent watching it was worth it
Thank you 🙏🏽
Oseyyyy Holico!! No wonder she looked familiar 😊
So proud of you Marigold !
3 words for you Doc, Resilient, humble and sensible. Most people who are not even Doctors come to the UK and even talk down on carers, yet, they never even made a quarter of what carers make in the UK. The Lord would take you far Doc.❤❤❤.
We are proud of you my dear , as a Ghanaian I know you are humble
I came to hear is the part that she becomes a doctor again. I'm excited for her

Wow
This is really good.
I know her such a nice person to work with, am proud of you❤❤
This is the kind of doctor I want in my corner. 😊
Well done and had the opportunity to work with the husband in my trust.
Good guy … you’re a wise girl
Enjoyed watching this 😍
Thank you!!
Good upload brethren.
Good of her . Im working in healthcare for 8 years . As a doctor she saying that care assistant will give her more knowledge experience and understanding how to working in the UK around Clients. Good for her . Wear about in the UK ARE YOU WORKING 👏🌷💞
Very humble i like her
Hmmmm abrokyire will humble you no matter who you are. I respect her for her humility and courage.
Good day@Nanelle thank you so much for the content you put here on this space.
I am a subscriber watching from Nigeria. I am about moving to the Uk for my Masters this September 2023, but for some reasons am so uncertain and skeptical.
Life is so terrible here in Nigeria for me and my Husband but the state of the country is affecting everyone. However what’s causing my uncertainty is this 12 point conservative law. They say they haven’t been put in place. But I want you to shed more light on this
Point based system means if you have certain qualifications you get certain points and if your total points exceed the threshold they set then you qualify.
E.g. if someone is not a graduate then they won't get the point for educational qualification.
I'm in her same situation it is rough but we are keeping forward to the Goal with the help of God
Awww
You are not alone dear ❤
Thanks ❤
God bless you. The vision is yet for an appointed time.
I can relate. However I worked in a restaurant till recently.
Hi Dr Marigold 🙋🏾♀️
Oh wow!
Great content
I love this interview ❤❤❤❤
Thank you 🙏🏽
Nice seeing a Hopsan here...All the best sis
Insightful video
Thank you
She’s really golden
Nanelle thanks for sharing, please I need update on list of recruiters currently hiring healthcare assistant.
Love you Nanelle 😍❣❣❤
That will be a difficult one with the current situation
It’s tough relocating to a foreign country. You have to change your mindset and do whatever is ethically possible to help you survive. I’m in the U. S. And many people come here with doctorates from other countries but they have to be willing to start from the bottom while structuring themselves. I’ve been sharing this on my channel as well.
I love this doctor, she is humble, inspiring.
I wish to meet her one day together with Nanelle
I'm encouraged
Proud of you
Very honest i like her
Hello Karen 👋
She is humble. She will sit with kings.
Hi Nanelle, thanks for the video. Can you please do a video on how to become a CRNA in the UK?
Again Nenelle just loves the way you interview our guest, u know d exact question to pop in🤣🤣
Thank you 🙏🏽
I saw the stories of The Physician assistants in Ghana some of them been waiting for jobs for 5 years. But I heard a story that Canada will take physician assistants from Ghana
Am happy for my sister for being truthful to herself. Most people think with your certificate as MD, you can work as MD in Europe and Uk. It doesn't work that way. You have to do some extra courses
Asem oo
Keep pushing dear 3b3 fa
Small world, I know them expecially the husband from uni.
My husband is a Gp. He worked a few months as a carer whilst doing the licensing exams.
Inspiring video🎉🎉
Rosas’ making as proud❤
Go us !’n
Yessss
I am also a ROSA.Please sisters I need help asap
Very intelligent
Nenelle is d glow for me
Thank you 🙏🏽
This is when I don’t want to listen when comparing about money. We spent GBP in the Uk and now Ghana money. Again most Diasporas run two homes, one in Africa and in the U.K.
humble doctor, get things from Ghana
I am really inspired. I am a qualified social worker and i have registeredd with social work England. I will be moving to the UK using a care visa
Nenelle ❤thanks so much for this interview. I just entered the uk on carer visa as a hca, was a registered nurse midwife, and degree holder.
I am encouraged thanks so much
Uw
I'll come as you. Ill work as a HCA then work my way round the UK sysem. Thank you.
Wow love ur content
Thank you
€700 a week. That's awesome
Nanelle I must be in the UK this year
Amen 🙏🏽
Amen doc. Don't sit around when you can make money. A wise business woman once said to me, Naa 'if Sea dry you go by land'. You are my kind of woman. Actually you have a subs riber.
I attended holy child college here in Nigeria🥰
It's not new. I am in UK and It's mostly a starting point for most Doctors that's if you didn't finish your PLAB 1 and PLAB 2.
I know over 10 Doctors doing same. Some have switched already. Please start any job you see in UK 🇬🇧 to pay bills 😅
👍🏾
Hello Nanelle....I've been seeing videos where people are saying this immigration route is coming to an end ( talking about the health and care worker visa) how true is this please?
Babe i can relate
I’m early today 😅
