My favorite vocalist in blackpink and one of my favorite vocalists in kpop, her voice has the warmth but also soul and fullness i like in vocalist. If she could develop her mix more she would honestly be unstoppable since she really has the potential to have that Ariana or Mariah fullness in her mixed register. Hope she starts improving her breath support aswell.

MY FAVORITE VOICE
The range and consistancy of her voice in live vs recorded is extremely consistant (VERY IMPRESSIVE). What I would like to see is a comparrison of her power live vs recorded. She seems to have a much more powerful voice live than the officail recordings. This makes me think that they are toning her back in production because she would overpower the songs. Can somebody do that comparrison?

Stan jisoo too. Just because her voice is deep that doesn't mean she can't hit high note like rose. She is doing it with different vibe and style. She is not getting enough opportunity to express her talents because yg is not giving enough line distribution and high notes.

She is an alto- mezzoo, her lows are like an alto but highs are mezzo, if she goes higher she strains and cracks
I'd say she's an alto.
Jisoo has a very damaging technique. She doesn't support at all(that's the most basic thing in singing),places her voice in the back of her throat, nasal, doesn't raise soft palate, larynx is often times not stable outside of her tessitura amd incredible tension overall, nearly never relaxed. Also she is a soprano. She is definetetly not a Mezzo-Soprano. It's just that she is placing her voice in the back of her throat(which is really bad cuz it creates tension non-stop) so her voice sounds thicker but it doesn't actually weight like a Mezzo-Soprano's. Don't mistake thickness with weight. I hear less tension in Jennie's singing and Jennie overall has better placement. Rosè>Jennie>Jisoo.
Determining someone’s voice type is a bit more complicated than it seems tbh lol. The main factors I would say contribute to determining voice type are tessitura (where in someone’s overall vocal range they are the most comfortable or shine/“present” the most in-usually in a set of notes), passaggi (where in someone’s range where their voices naturally “lift”; mostly associated with where vocalists naturally start “mixing” their voices or from chest/lower to mixed/middle (first) and mixed/middle to head/falsetto//higher (second) though it’s not always the case especially when a lot of vocalists sing in their mixed voices higher than their second passaggi lol), and vocal weight (basically where deep/light voice kicks into the criteria lol).
For mezzos, it’s actually the deepness (heavier vocal weight) rather than the darkness of tone (there are sopranos with dark voices like Demi, Lauren Jauregui, Jisoo, etc.), but also lower passaggi compared to normal sopranos and comfortable and presence of voice in the lower to mid-low part of your range. The “deepness” has to be a “natural deep” (heavier vocal weight) not of one caused by technical issues such as low or back-of-the-throat placement (Jisoo) or chestiness (Jennie or Jeongyeon or Solar) or throatiness (Tzuyu). For tessitura, they have to shine or have a significant presence in their low to low-mid range of their voice: which helps distinguish mezzos and full lyric sopranos (Jea, Eunji, etc. who shine more in the mid-high to higher part of their range) apart. For first passaggio, they have to start mixing earlier in their range compared to their soprano counterparts; I think mezzos start naturally mixing or first “lift” their voices around F4/F#4 in their range (sopranos are G4/G#4).

Producing a low note may sound easy but you'll lose breathe very quickly. With no proper breathing technique you'll run out of air every single line

sure if you have no experience in vocal. Jennie is an E vocalist while Jisoo is F, on pair with Lisa. Jisoo only has a better technique but Jennie has better mixed voice, belts, wider range, stability and support. Not to mention she is overall more powerful and doesn't strain her voice as much as Jisoo does.

You’re wrong again she’s a light / full lyric soprano and she’s have a bad techniques.
