This is the most interesting thing you've done in a while imo... Looking forward to more content of this. You do it right, it will be the fastest thing on any of these car content channels. I would love to see that thing run anything 5.xx and I don't see a reason why it shouldn't, other than the roll cage. With this cage & chassis... why would you waste time putting it together with some sloppy seconds motor? Do it right the first time, give this chassis the respect it deserves and build something that screams.

Definitely excited for this new build. Only dislike I have is that mid 8's goal. I say you guys go for a consistent low 7 or high 6 second car. With the right V8 and a full tube chassis big tire car that should be pretty achievable.

It's light buy the powerglide and gear vendors overdrive that cletus just pulled out of the elcomino. That would be a perfect trans for this light car.
Stock for stock that civic is longer than a fox body mustang. The driveshaft in a fox with a powerglide is roughly 44 inches long. The longest gear venders is 11in qnd they make a 3 inch shorty, I don't rember which cletus has but there is plenty of room. It's going to have a low gear especally on that tall big tire and it's going to be a turbo car so it's going to have a tight converter. We drive turbo non over drive or lock up th400 trans on the street all over the place, hell most cars on drag week don't have overdrive or lock ups so that will be a non issue.
Go find a 4l80 that will live with any sort of reliability behind 1500 hp, and price the ones they claim can handle it there big money, like 10k with no converter, and there heavy as hell. You could always just go drop over 25,000 dollers on the same lock up th400 that cleetus just bought lol.
Exciting!! That chassis is a killer start on a proper race week car for sure. Love to see you guy's do something really different with boost as well, maybe a compound turbo setup. Jamie... please give the Boiz a deal on the built motor. I'D come out and paint it for free!

Right? LS horsepower in a lightweight big tire chassis should be 7's all day long.
At the weight this thing should be at, a relatively mild turbo LS should be able to get it into the low-8s at least.

VK56DE is a badass engine that can rev really high and make good reliable HP. No Honda has not made any V8's other than F1
