  • NRG seats are some of the most popular seats for simracing due to their cheap price. But are they worth it or are you better off looking elsewhere? I purchased my own to find out for myself in this review.

    Comfy, comes in multiple colors and multiple designs just a great seat overall and can move from your sim to a project car

    The Prisma is a solid seat. The belt mounting locations work fine with a racing harness. The way the belts go thru the center(in the no no's), it doesn't put a lot of pressure in that area. I've mounted around 20 of these now and it is easy to strip out the bolts holes where you attach the side rails. I would not hesitate to use this in a sim rig. I use a full wraparound NRG in my rig and it's a $350 seat. That's cheap for what you get. It's not for a real car, just sim rigs. The Prisma can be run in a RL car but I agree with buying the cheapest NRG that's similar to the Prisma. $200 is a deal for it and if you spend over 300 then get the full wraparound seat, or even a Trak Racer seat. They're surprisingly good especially for how cheap they are. I'm looking to trade my NRG wraparound for a Prisma. The wraparound is big enough. I'm 220 and I can get in and out no problem. It's also very comfortable. I did buy extra foam cushions to strategically placed in my seat and I'd recommend that most everyone do the same thing. $20 in foam can make all the difference in the world

      If it wasn’t for the lean defect. I would be pretty happy with it. But that was a dealbreaker for me.

    I like the seat, haven't had any issues except a cross threaded mounting bolt (my fault) but oh man is it hot. Swamp arse, swamp back, swamp leg

    I've come from an office chair, then to a diy rig with a car seat. Although I love my nrg prisma ultra I'm sure this is an area where you get what you pay for.
    My back feels great which it definitely did not in my car seat setup.

      Yea my back did feel a lot better in the NRG. that’s the one aspect I’m really missing right now.

    Who is the medium seat even made for? You're 5-8/160 and it's too tight for you?

    My Prisma is fine, I like my Sparco EVO XL as well, the latter is lighter and a little more laid back, I think the Prisma is not that bad in comparison for especially less than half the price. The Sim Lab chairs are terrible in comparison for me

      what's the size difference by feel comparing the large Prisma to the Eco XL? I'm short but have broad, muscular shoulders. I had a Braun Falcon S that I felt was a bit too snug in the shoulder area. Pushed my shoulders forward more than what was comfortable for me.

      Amazon NRG seats are knock offs

      Go to their website and look for authorized dealers.

      @@grantwynn2944 I would love to see your source for such a claim lol. NRG is basically already a rebranded product to begin with, so you're saying NRG seats on Amazon are a knock off of a knock off? I bought my first set of NRG seats from an "authorized dealer". I have purchased 4 more since then on Amazon and there isn't a molecular difference. Did Amazon bang your boyfriend or do you just like making random crap up?

    • @petlemons
      @petlemons Před 13 dny

      @@grantwynn2944 This is patently false. Most of the products sold on Amazon are genuine NRG products. However, they are simply being resold against the wishes of NRG. If you read what is actually written on NRG's page, you will notice that they mention they "do not directly sell (their) products on... Amazon". They're genuine NRG products, but because they come from Amazon, there is no customer support and the warranty is void.

      Not cheap, but cheap relative to traditional racing seats like Sparco, Recaro, Sabelt, etc.
